He evolved. At the end of the battle with ichigo, before he got sealed he started fusing with his sword just like ichigo was fused with his sword in mugetsu form.

If aizen > yamamoto so why aizen create a special arrancar to seal yamamoto powers ? Aizen was scared of yamamoto, even aizen said that yamamoto has the strongest zenpaktuo. Aizen is smart he knew he had no chance against yamamoto in one vs one. Yamamoto was not able to release his bankai because he would destroy korakuka tow and the entire human world because of his so powerful bankai, that why he prefer to sacrifice himsel to be sur he will kill aizen to.

Well even tho Aizen in TYBW is my number one favorite hero and is undoubtly one of the strongest anime character/villain, but I think to put him like 10x stronger than Prime Yama is a bit too much. Idk if you're just trying to make it a bit of a joke to put that like 10x than Prime Yama or you being serious but IMO TYBW Yama with bankai will not have that 10x much of a different than TYBW Aizen even I agree TYBW Aizen still stronger, but we're talking about Prime Yama whom stated by Yhwach was terrifying because he wouldn't give any hesitation of using his full bankai even it would risk his comrades nor his nearby environment due to it's devastating effects, and also he still had both hands which I think would make a lot of difference than him with only one hand. That's my opinion on Prime Yama, for Aizen's case, yes he is stronger than he was fighting Ichigo with Hogyoku, and he's capable of using Hado #90 without full incantation yet still way stronger than he was used with full incantation back then, but if he's just like 10x stronger than Prime Yama, I think Yhwach can't even hold his power tho, that Hado #99 he used should affect Yhwach than he should if he's like 10x stronger than Prime Yama

The only reason why ppl think that young yama is better than old yama is that he was more "ruthless"
i guess it would be because of the fact that ywach called him a shadow of his former self and according to one of the comments above yamamoto beat ywach with allmighty without even using giving his all, so personally i think prime yamamoto beats aizen tybw, just my opinion though.
