Hi Guys, I live in Abingdon and have followed your channel for awhile now. Like most people that live in a town like Abingdon we take for granted what we have. St Helens church which is amazing, so much history as with the rest of the town. But we live here and the town centre is run down and lots of shops closed such a shame, as the approach over the bridge passed the Nags is beautiful in the summer. Loving the town tours.x
I liked your tour of Abingdon. My ancestors came from there. One of them commissioned a stained glass window in the church and we found a very old grave in the churchyard for another. You should try Wallingford, Henley and Marlow and do tours.
Excellent video as always. Everything looked amazing (except that red brick part). Thank you for recommending the online museum Dan, just had a quick look and will be looking more.
Well done guys, my home town, did you try the Nag's Head and Abbey Meadows where you'll find a statue of Queen Victoria which once stood in the middle of the market square 👍
Thanks for that little tour guys, really good to see a genuine view of the place, goes to show these lists can sometimes stray off the mark and people could miss out on seeing what they have to offer
Hello Dan and Mazzy 👋👋👋Great idea looking at the worst and best places to go too. Some off the towns u been too are amazing , buildings 👍💯. Great videos as always XX keep the good work going , and have fun X
I really enjoy Dan's constant bashing of Bury St Edmunds, Green King are the McDonald's of the brewing industry and they ruined Old Speckled Hen and even brew that abomination Golden Hen 🤣 I'm puzzled why someone from Keighley would like John Smith's when the best beer on the world is brewed in his home town by Timothy Taylor's. Landlord would blow anything GK brews out of the water!
Just an idea but...WATCH the video before you start slagging us off you pathetic trout. We do nothing but PRAISE Abingdon!!! You are an embarrassment to your town.
Hey guys! Just want to thank you for the video (my dad was skiving/dogging) today in his Electrical van 🤣 knew he was up to it again! Cathy his wife won't be happy!! safe travels guys sending love xx
Thanks for you honest opinion of Abingdon, I think people write and make comments about town like Abingdon without even going there. I have been to Bury st Edmunds in 2000 and thought how much it reminds me of Abingdon both great towns. Thank you both⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
How on earth can Abingdon be classed as one of the worst towns in England!! It looks like a lovely place to visit with plenty of history to keep you occupied and a beautiful river too. 😁
Thank you, for your tour of the worst, I still like it, I love the history and the buildings, the oldest buildings we have here are from late 1800’s Loving all your videos of course.. Much love from me 🇦🇺🇦🇺❌❌❌💖💖
They used to have a festival in Ypres, Belgium where they threw cats off the local tower. Still celebrated today but now they throw cuddly toys instead.
Love your facial expressions Dan .You two are saving the towns that have wrongly been placed on the worst list. I think if there are issues in towns being untidy etc. maybe more community groups could fix the issues, solving loneliness by meeting new friends .Thanks for showing that amazing church : )
I wonder what they base their opinion of these places on? In the U.S., it's often based on economics, employment opportunities and average income. Education and crime statistics, people living at or below poverty level and environmental / health concerns also being factors. As appearances go, I thought it was lovely. It appeared to be quite hospitable, with all the basic necessities, plus leisure, with historical and aesthetic value. I'd have Abingdon over a large city any day. Glad you went and took us along.
I like to visit places in Canada and USA but I so prefer Europe because of all the history and historical sites to see. Thanks for showing great historical sites I've yet to see.

A good tour of a Berkshire town.
That wasn't a town hall but a County hall.
Loved it.
Que Pasa is certainly an interesting name for a Mediterranean restaurant, considering it’s Spanish.
I guess it's a good job Spain is on the Mediterranean Sea, or it would have made no sense whatsoever... What's Up 😅
That church and the Almes houses were lovely x
Another wonderful tour of a town, thanks guys, keep up the good work.
I once threw up near the war memorial (not ON it) after eating an entire bag of mushrooms in ten minutes.
