Always learned something from listening to NBA games where Hubie Brown was the analyst. Loved hearing his unbiased, pure basketball knowledge during games. Sad to see him go but he deserves to live on his own terms at his age.
My dad was good friends w Hubie in the 60s whrn they played sports together with a great group of guys. I met Hubie once w my dad when I was little and after we lost touch. About five years ago My son became a big Nba fan and I decided to write hubie a letter asking him if he remembered my dad. I never expected an answer but much to my delight my son and i got a call from him and we spoke for an hour about my dad the nba sports and life. He was so gracious and kind to us imparting a lot of wisdom. 🎉
I know it’s not glamorous but growing up in Australia, hearing him call the rookies game in 1997 AI, Kobe, Allen etc. his knowledge and insight always had me in awe.
My goodness.. what he has endured this year... my sincerest condolences Coach Brown! I've thoroughly enjoyed you on the broadcasts all these years. I've always tried to spread the word that if you ever want to learn about the game of basketball and all the intricacies of the game.. to just tune in to a Hubie Brown called game, and you will learn all kinds of things in a way that can be grasped by people of all walks and ages. He broke the game down like no other. He took time to highlight aspects that often times flew under the radar. While most broadcasters focused on the glitz and glamour of the game, Coach Brown always took time to highlight and give credit to the unsung heroes.. the ones doing the little things that may or may not get enough attention. Your footprint in the game I love will be everlasting Coach. I hope you receive an abundance of blessings and enjoy this much deserved retirement. Bless you and thank you for everything! ❤
Coach Brown is the best teacher of basketball. Heard him countless times at clinics and he simply is the best in breaking down the game for all to understand.
I have always loved hearing Hubie Brown on the mic, such a cool dude. My favorite call of his was such a simple one, when Kobe catches the inbounds on that game winner vs the Suns: "Aite, we're gonna get a shot here..." I don't know why, he just always sounded so cool saying that "aite" 😄
Hubie always broadcasts as a youth league coach, he's always pointing out the ways for players to have the most success without feeling like he's "dumbing it down". He was my original favorite broadcaster way back!
Nobody was a better color commentator for NBA games. Despite his advanced age he never slowed down or missrd a beat on commentary. The game has changed so much but he's kept up. I listen to some of the dimwit commentary we get treated to on telecasts today and like most things in this world it's a dumbed down version of what used to be. It'll be a treat to hear him call a game again
My favorite to listen to whenever he was on TV. The knowledge of the game was just remarkable to listen to … So many youth will never be half of a man that he was in his life. A true legend. Love him and will miss him. Time to enjoy time with your family, legend.
Notice how his name is Hubie BROWN?? Its not Hubie Tatum!! Just more evidence that Bus Driver Jaylen Brown>>>>>Bus Riding Tatum JB 4 MVP!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🧂🧂🧂🍼🍼🍼🍼 Go Celts Go!!! ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
Respect hubie brown! Older than 3 out of my 4 grandparents and still love listening to him! You will be missed!
No one knows basketball like him. God bless him And his family
Truth 🖖🏽
Hubie is my favorite by A LOT, and amazing that he's still so good at his age.
Hubie was such an influence on my coaching. His full court series , secrets of winning with less talent helped me coach 3 undefeated seasons.
That's awesome bro. High school?
You're a FAR better Coach than Doofus Darvin, Bro!!
🤣🤣🤣😭😭🧂🧂🍼🍼

Please let it be the Knicks!!!
90 yr old needs to be the new general Manager❤️🔥
The GOAT!
I would love to see him do spurs vs knicks o Christmas opener.
Hopefully Hawks vs Grizzlies. The two team he was coach of the year with
I thought I learned something from him every game I listened. He is the definition of what a color commentator should be.
Nobody was a better color commentator for NBA games. Despite his advanced age he never slowed down or missrd a beat on commentary. The game has changed so much but he's kept up.

Man this sucks one of the best voices in basketball
He’s still as good as anyone color analyst in his 90s

He puts Doris Burks to shame. The man is legendary.
Yup the best, him and Dicky V...pause 😅
RIP Brendan brown
Hear hear!
Glad he gonna have time to chill.
"Range is not a factor for this guy." - Hubie Brown
Finalllyyy someone younger will take his place!!! People should know when to retire....
Dang ima miss that voice
He will be missed
Don’t invite gary payton😂
Classic boomer move talkin like Clint Eastwood, relying on the other person not wanting to end an elderly. Good for him, tho, he called GP's bluff.
Losing a great in Hubie Brown
90 years of age is the limit😂
Notice how his name is Hubie BROWN?? Its not Hubie Tatum!!
Just more evidence that Bus Driver Jaylen Brown>>>>>Bus Riding Tatum
JB 4 MVP!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🧂🧂🧂🍼🍼🍼🍼
Go Celts Go!!!

Please not a Warriors game.
U bandwagon fans and Curr-Maphrodites don't deserve the great Hubie Brown. Maybe Ian and Nepotism Noah Eagle but no Hubie
GOod riddance. That clown openly rooted against the Bucks every time he was commentator. Completely unprofessional.
Great guy. Great coach. But come on, he's a terrible announcer.
RESPECT..
