- This week’s episode of GilbHub TV comes at the request of one of my pals at BRX City.
Have you ever tried to explain what your business or product does, only to receive a blank stare from the person you’re speaking to?
You know how it goes- you’re mid-way through explaining the intricacies of the technology that puts you miles ahead of your competition and… and their eyes have already glazed over.
It’s important you don’t take this personally.
You might have the most incredible, life-changing product imaginable but people won’t be able to appreciate that, if you’re explaining it in a way that baffles them.
In this episode of GilbHub TV, I share some tips for explaining a complex product (or business or idea), simply.

You explain difficult topics in such an easy-to-follow way.
A symptom of my ADD is that my brain is stuttering and always try and find better words to use
Same here,😔
Thank you this is most helpful for me!
Your website and linkedin don't work. What do you do? Do you offer consulting?
Thanks, this was very helpful!
your tone of voice for explaining things is perfect.
it sounds like female MumboJumbo
Thank you great useful tips
thanks
Thanks, very helpful to me.
Great video, thank you.
Damn you are excellent!
What is your opinion on explaining the "technical term" on a mouseover? In blogs and written online formats.
The main advantage is you dont "bother" the people who understand those terms and provide an option to those who dont. This offers quite a few option to stylize more effective I think.
Thanks for your opinions in advance! :-))
Excellent!!
Do you have any suggestions for a website or video on what you think is a complicated product (block chain based application or something like this) that actually has a good explanation?
thanks a lot
Audio is very quiet. Admittedly it is very loud here.
Thanks Mega Helpful
Im just bad at talking.
Where r u now
How this is a helpful?
Good job baby
Sorry Gil, but what I found off-putting straight away was your use of 'very very'. Mark Twain once described 'very' as the weakest modifier in the Englishlanguage - so where does that leave two verys? If someone is better than very good, English provides us with words such as 'superb' or 'brilliant' - there are plenty to choose from and they are in danger of being forgotten. Sorry.
Misleading tittle.
Did you not watch the video? Misleading comment.
Thanks for the info mate. This is really helpful
