Greetings from India -absolutely loved your demo -so few terracotta artists teaching how to sculpt - thankyou so much. I started sculpting at the age of 65 now I'm 68 -your demos help me so much you cannot imagine. Thanks dear and may God Bless and keep you always happy !
t is great to see the sculpture when the guitar plays in the background so beautifully. I already know why I'm addicted to these movies. These two pieces complement each other. Thank you
This is exactly what I needed to see- thanks for the class, prof. 😁Have you made a video of how to remove a bust from an armature? I would love to see one,
Wow! You're Amazing! How long have you been sculpting? Umm...at the end it says "music by Richard Bywaters". I didn't hear ANY music. Was there supposed to be music?
What clay is best for life sized* or close busts ? I have no kiln just a regular kitchen oven. Air dry is best but I also do not want a messy clay, I want very clean lines/ fine lines. I will be new to all of this but I also have a small knck of caricature drawing and natural drawing. Please let me know whats the best clay I sure would appreciate it! Will be watching your videos, ty.
I know how to sculpt but all my sculptures have been done on plaster head moulds before, and now that I would like to sculpt again I don’t know how to do the wire skeleton that will support the clay. Would it be possible to enlighten me on that part? I know we can use wire and aluminum for some. In this video could you tell what are you using? And I would like to sculpt a full size (human) character of mine. But I have no idea how to make the wire or how to create the skeleton that would support the all, do you have an idea? Thank you for any infos or advices.
You didn’t show the overview of the finished piece.😕 I would have loved to see the full head instead of 30 seconds of who the music was by- and what music??🧐
I don't understand. How did you fire it? I did not see an armature in the large head area and that is too big to fire without hollowing it out, isn't it?
Sometimes sculpting go fast and easy . It may take just few hours. The other time It may take couple of weeks until I get it right. (Lots of frustration and many changes)
Yes, you need to remove it (if you want to fire sculpture in the kiln). Watch my video " Preparing ceramic sculpture for firing" " Hollowing sculpture. Preparing for firing in the kiln"
Your work is stunning! Can you tell what that tool is called with the white roundish end and lime green handle? I use wood tools and it always deforms the clay too much. And sometimes my fingers can’t fit in the cracks. :(
I use this clay a lot you can get it at hobby lobby it's in a white cardboard box and I forget the name but I think it's literally just clay. This looks just like it and I'm pretty positive this is it
For tools all I have is a blackhead removal thingy for the face, a toothpick, and a ruler- Wish me luck ☠👍 Edit: it turned out way better than I expected :D
Popsicle sticks, spoon, knife, sponge. Piece of cardboard cut into same shape as her metal scraper, a fork. A comb, a wooden spoon for a paddle, tongue depressor with ends cut to a v shape an filed with a nail file, a toothbrush. Use your imagination to make tools. Cheap sets of sculpting tools can be found at any hobby shop, on Amazon, even in $ stores in toy section. At the book store of university
Chopsticks, wood skewers, bottle tops, bottle filled with water for a roller. Two objects like hair brushes or silverware with string or wire tied around to cut clay.

Yea great with sculpting but needs way more work on video creation and editing.🤨
great work
For us very beginners, can you please do a feature video on just the hair and how you got it to look like that? Thank you!
Hi can you please tell me what type of clay did you use?
What clay is best for life sized* or close busts ? I have no kiln just a regular kitchen oven. Air dry is best but I also do not want a messy clay, I want very clean lines/ fine lines. I will be new to all of this but I also have a small knck of caricature drawing and natural drawing.

Such beauty in the faces, even before you detail.... it’s like the women are covered in clay and your just removing the excess...
What did you use to stabilize it?
Good work...
Thanks
What is the stand you used called

Just imagination
Wonderful video! Thanks for sharing. Do you remove the ball and stick used to start building this head before firing?
Yes, you need to remove it (if you want to fire sculpture in the kiln). Watch my video
" Preparing ceramic sculpture for firing" " Hollowing sculpture. Preparing for firing in the kiln"
@@JoannnaMozdzen thank you for your reply. Heading to watch your ‘hollowing sculpture video right now.
How do you get started? What is the armature made of?
Watch my tutorial “ Sculpting female head. Tutorial” . You can find more tutorials in my channel.

Thank you.
The tool is for decorating cakes.
Watch my video “Sculpting tools”
My issue with clay comes from needing to start and stop a lot. So I can never seem to use air dry clay.....
I have to too.
Just place the project in a ziploc bag. It keeps the clay from drying.
im extremely new to clay so tell me if im wrong but, cant you just add water to the sculpture?? like with a spray bottle or sm??
Nise
Good
Beautiful work 🥰🦋 How long did it take you?
Thank you. Sculpting sometimes takes only few hours but sometimes it takes days. All is about getting the final feeling or expression.
ماشاءالله🙏👍🏻👏
Don't you wedge your clay for air bubbles first?
No I don’t. I hollow my sculptures and prepare them for firing. You can see the prices in my UA-cam tutorials. Link to my channel is in my profile.
where do you get your clay and what exactly is it called?
I use this clay a lot you can get it at hobby lobby it's in a white cardboard box and I forget the name but I think it's literally just clay. This looks just like it and I'm pretty positive this is it

This is not a tutorial
Is it a problem on my side or there is no sound in this video?
