Strictly gel tech here, maybe the light your using isn’t compatible with the polygel?? That can also cause heat spikes. Best tricks I use is to do half setting when I’m not using the gel designed with the light then if it’s still heating there’s 3 methods I use to help: 1. Wiggle your fingers if it’s not too bad, 2. Pull your hand out as soon as the heat hits, then once it cools down it won’t heat up again, and 3. If it’s extremely bad turn the light on and sit the hand outside the light but still getting hit by the light then slowly move the hand in in small steps ever 4 seconds. Best tricks there are! Also it’s the same as waxing in the sense of you will be more sensitive close to and on your cycle. Hope that helps! Love your videos!! ❤️
I have been using gel on my clients for the last year and they know to pull there hand out when it starts to get warm. They like the gel because there is no smell. I still only do acrylic on me. I am not going to change. You have a man in your life how awesome for you and also for your new nephew
I love your videos!! If it’s like traditional gel, you could “flash cure” for a few seconds then start on your next nail. After the final nail flash cure, let it cool and then put it in for the complete cure.
Congrats on your nephew. I’m a Gel nail tech and you need to flash cure always. My clients know by now that they need to put their hand insides of the lamp for 10 seconds take it out wait five and then they will not have any heat spike! I hope it works for you if you do your nails again with gel :) Love your videos!
@@NailsByJenReginaSK hope it helps! Nobody likes the heat spikes 🤣 Also I’ve used the young nails top coat since you recommend it but for me it didn’t work. All my clients came with the top coat cracked 🤷🏼♀️ i don’t know if it doesn’t work with gel.
Congratulations on being an auntie. I started using gel a couple of years ago after being a strictly acrylic tech for 25 years. It's so much easier on my hands! I'm a complete wimp when it comes to the heat spikes (even gel polish gets warm on my hands) message me on Instagram if you want to chat about it. Thanks for your videos!
Hi Jen, tysmftv 😊. I tried Gelish polygel waaay back when it came out. Didn't really care for it. I only use hard and soft gels. One tip when you're putting on the gel is to put your hand in for 4 second intervals until it doesn't burn any longer. I mainly use LE and UD hard gels and rarely get heat spikes. This set is sooo pretty 😍. Hope you had a great time on your trip. 😀
Like you said you went back to your original which is your I guess nude and light pink and those are not my colours I’m the one that likes the purples and the reds and the oranges and the greens but I still enjoy watching your channel
I’m watching you and you’re saying that you’re over the purple and everything I want to get back to your original and I’m like I love the purple I don’t like your original I don’t like nude colours I don’t like light colours I like bright colours however I still love your channel everybody has their own likes and dislikes
