Yea... My thoughts exactly. If you have to create a new wallet then why bother. You should not need to create a new wallet. MetaMask should have just said no, Solana network is not compatible. Just my opinion.

That really doesn't make any sense... You can only get to Snaps from Metamask. So, you would not get a link to download metamask when you are already inside MetaMask. Maybe check your PC for Viruses.
i mistakenly swap my coins in metamask to solana token..they are now on arbitrum chain as wrapped solana, when i want to swap back to another token they are creating a huge price difference..what should i do?
Sometimes it depends on the tokens you are using for the swap. IE: play around with using different stable coins maybe? Like using USDT instead of USDC or choose coins with less fees set on the pools
great tutorial. at the very end yuou refer to the recovery phrase. i completed the setup just like you coached but there was at no point a link to my recovery phrase. can you make a tutorial about how you find your secret phrase and private key in the solarflare desktop app? i have connected to my metamask but i think i need to add an account there? or do i have this wrong?
Yes, that's is correct. You should backup your recover phrase or seed. Solana network is not natively supplied on MetaMask. What you see here is the closest thing you can get. You can't add Solana network to the MetaMask RPC networks. So, as long as you added the snap, you can connect to Solana network DEFI. If you can see Solflare in snaps then you are done. I will put out the other tutorial for the seed soon. Just make sure you don't lose your Metamask wallet in the mean time.

What do you mean by platform? If you have Render is should already be on Solana's network. If you have Render on Ethereum's Network it will not be transferred automatically. You will need to use a bridge.
