Wow !! Thank you, Pete & Rich for your, Dream Theater concert Review !! All the damn time. * Wish I could see Dream Theater in concert, too!! 🎤🎸🎵🎹🥁 Life is better with music.
PARDO bros. That’s awesome you guys do that together. My brother was “die hard DIAMOND 💎 Dave VH / solo. We ( together) with bunch of friends must saw him a dozen times in ATLANTIC city / NJ/ NYC area. Continue to do that PETE/ RICHARD- tremendous memories. Lost my brother ( R.I.P.) two weeks before his 50 th surprise party I was throwing him. I think of him multiple times / every single day! I miss those shows with him. Great job 👍 fellas 💯
Gary yea it's great when brothers can be at shows together. I had done that back in the day went to shows that me and my brother was at and cousins too. Sorry to hear of your brother's passing. This year has started in me with losing my brother and last month losing a cousin. Of 3 cousins I have one left and their families and my niece. Take care and god bless you.
Pete and Rich. Glad that you had a great time and as brothers to enjoy a good show. Dream Theater what a great band. Back in the day didn't rely on setlist. We would be into wanting to see the band and would go and be surprised on what they would play. And you would expect on what would be played and what you didn't expect. Concert going always alot of enjoyment. Thanks Pardo brothers.
Great review Rich and Pete! I got to see DT for the first time on the 8th of February in Seattle, took the 8 hr train trip to do so. It was a great show, and a awesome setlist! LaBrie sounded good for having cold at the time. He was going back stage a lot, but he was interacting with the crowd as much as he could. My only gripe was the intensity/over-driven mix, it actually made me feel sick a couple time. Glad to hear the sound was good for you guys.
Hi everyone I hope to see them later this year in Germany ,and it will be the first time ,so it was good to hear what you think about it,and it great to be able to see live bands again
The talk of sitting down at times during the show got me fantasising. I wish my favourite bands would do Over ‘50s nights and fill the venue with hammocks. That way if I fancied a little nap I could nod off for a while and then rejoin the fun.
Went to this show, 16th time seeing them (7th with Mangini) and watching these guys tear it up never gets old. And since 2011 they always seem to be having more and more fun on stage. The final 3 songs covered about 55 minutes but holy crap that was amazing. Great venue too, I hope they keep going back there.
Wow Pete. You've got your brother on the show. Never saw/heard Rich before. Thanks Rich. My brother lives in NYC, and I don't. I know if we could go see a show together we would both have a great time. Cheers to our brothers. Related, or not.
I saw them in Cincinnati over three weeks ago and it was an excellent show. I really enjoyed the setlist, with the epic title track of the new album being the highlight for me. Arch Echo was a great opening band. They made a new fan out of me.
Arch Echo are really worth checking out, very uplifting music - not usually my thing but they are incredible virtuosos and do it so well that I was won over.
Just looked it up, the theater has a capacity of 1,543. The Community Theater, now named the MayoPAC, has a capacity of 1,319. Been to the latter, not the former.
Good news, I’m seeing them for the first time end of April, sounds a good show and glad they are doing a lot of the new album, bad news tonight got an e-mail the other band I was going to be seeing for the first time in November, Kansas, have cancelled all their European dates.
The theater in New Haven Connecticut called College Street Music Theater would have also been a good venue for them also….. just saw Kansas there on 3/12.
Last time (and only time) I saw Dream Theater, was probably 15-17 years ago when they were touring with Queensryche and Fates Warning. FW couldn't make it, and I'm still bummed.
@@Jermeister12 Yes! They were amazing! Did Queensryche and Dream Theater do songs together at the end of the show you were at? I imagine they did it on the whole tour.
I was there n caught a pic w dark lights. Sound ws amazing love the tiny theater snd love the singing labrie was awesome it was all good .....went to see them in newark after snd they were not as good
As a drummer, I’ll definitely be watching Mangini a lot! 😅 That’s crazy how Portnoy was in the audience watching them haha I would have loved to sit next to him during that show!
I saw the show on Feb 23rd in Akron, OH. I enjoyed it, Labrie sounded better than he did when I saw them on the DOT tour. I may have mixed up the set list a hair, but besides that, great show. I was surprised how few breaths they used between the long songs, it was impressive for their age. I thought hearing the new album's title track live might improve my opinion of it, but it didn't, I think I'd rather heard a couple other songs instead.
i saw them in CT at Toyota Oakdale Theater on the 5th one of the better shows in the last few times i’ve seen them sound was awesome and everyone was on top of their game , ARCH ECHO was good too 🤘😎🤘
I’m sorry I missed you at the show Pete! Would have been great to run into you. Here’s their complete set that I recorded. Hope everyone enjoys. ua-cam.com/video/wjg560OSrBc/v-deo.html
Portnoy is NOT coming back into the band. Mangini is their drummer now. However., it would be great to see Sons of Apollo open for DT on a 40th anniversary tour with Portnoy and Sherinian joining the band for an encore, maybe Trial of Tears.
I’m seeing them in a week in Houston! It’ll be my very first DT concert! Super excited, the setlist looks great, not a huge fan of MOLS, but the encore of Count of Tuscany will be amazing 😌
Count Basie Theatre is a 1,543 person capacity venue in Red Bank, NJ. according to the Googles.
Wow !! Thank you, Pete & Rich for your, Dream Theater concert Review !!

Thanks Pardo Brothers! Sounds like a great show, glad you enjoyed the show and got to hang together!
wish they were playing near me on this tour
Never seen them but love the music. They aren't coming close for me to see either.

Great review. I saw them in Toronto on March 2nd - also an incredible show. Pretty much a perfect pick for my first concert since February 2020.

Great review! Thanks Pete. Love DT. It was my album of the year last year. Love that House shirt. It’s one of my favorite horror comedies. A classic.
Welcome back, Brother Rich!!
Nice to see your brother Pete fantastic 👍🏾
Ayyyyy I went to this one!! Excellent show! (And also Arch Echo KILLED it!!)
Great show as always guys

I don't know if anyone mentioned this below.....they played 6:00 on the ADTOE tour in 11-12.
Would LOVE to see them, they never come around the Southeastern U. S., the closest I've ever heard of them coming to me is Charlotte N. C.
Saw them in Charleston, SC in 2019. Great show!
About to Crash played at the 2006 Score concert at Radio City Music Hall. Yes, I am a wealth of knowledge :))
Brother was correct! Max cap about 1,550.
I thought the Count of Tuscany was the perfect closer.
I prefer the Count of Chocula.

Petrucci still uses his Mesa Boogie amp!
Did you go to the secret Stash while you were in Red Bank
No
Saw them in Boston and felt the same way about Mangini, Petrucci also completely stole the show.
DT could have played the Gino Vannelli song Brother to brother for this special occasion

Hi Rich
Easily the most boring band i've ever seen. I discovered what the elasticity of time is all about when watching them. Oh the pain...
You just couldn't walk away and change the channel eh? Love the pain?
DT booooooring 🤣
