Honestly some people are like "It's so obvious it's a boy" because they know he is. If you actually watch the performance without focusing on the gender, he sounds much like a woman in her 40's.
There already was a male contestant who crossdressed (he wasn't famous though) and nobody could guess he was a man.

It has a the sharp falsetto tone that women don't have in their modal voices because falsetto is produced by a different part of the vocal folds. The sound of his voice is similar to Harisu's, who's a famous Korean singer with the same feminine tone (she's transgender).

Honestly if I didn't already know this was Sunyoul I totally would've thought it was a woman - especially since they dressed him in woman's clothing, which I wouldn't expect. It's not just that his voice is high - the quality of his voice when he's singing in the higher end of his range sounds like a woman's (the more "male" quality comes out way more when he's singing in the lower end of his range).
