When it comes to hammers of all description brick hammers claw hammers, ball peen etc,
the one thing I would tell you is the key is a wooden handle.
No tool manufacturer has developed a vibration dampener that matches a hickory handle.
They will all try to sell you fancy metal handles with fancy grips, why? Because it is much cheaper to produce than a traditional hickory wood handle.
That goes for lump hammers too of course.
Rose and Vaughan still make them with wooden handles.

Obviously haven’t swung a fiskars hammer mate have the big sledgehammer and smaller club hammers. Wouldn’t been seen slamming a hickory shaft sledgehammer. Unless a was wanting to kill my arm. No recoil With the fiskars any hardy any vibration do a lovely claw hammer also.

I do prefer hickory handles for vibration and easy replacement. The estwing is the gold standard. .. From all the main brands I wish I could make a design that had a straight longer and shorter removable hickory handle, larger diameter 23 ounce hammer face such as you’d see in a California Framer, and giant chisel from the dewalt brick hammer. I’d rather have a big chisel that can last from tons of sharpening over years- - -because I get attached to certain tools and you shouldn’t need a zillion brick hammers. I like aspects from all of them. I’d say the Vaughn hick handle 24 ounce is my favorite. I have the dewalt that’s new, 2 marshaltowns, 3 Vaughns, and the big estwing. The small 18 ounce marshaltown is handy and small, but the vaughns are the best all around and their wood handles are second to none. Also my favorite hammer is the Vaughn California framer.

I use a old scutch which is as good as any brick hammer,CK,Magnuson and wickes are alternatives and value for money ,it's best to get your hammers drawn out with heat and re heat treated as grinding them is not the way to go👍

Hultafors. For me best about or the Vaughan.
Estwing overrated had a few but there not really anti vibration like hultafors or the Vaughan. Vaughan for me has the best grips lovely soft gel type rubber had club hammers top notch also. Just wished fiskars brought out a brick hammer. 24oz brick hammer a bit heavy for most bricks nowadays. Some bricks only need 18 Oz.
