    Is it possible to create a card in python visual as show data in that card dynamically ???
    I mean with changing the value of the slicers, the value of the card will change too but the card along with the value should be created in python visual ???

    Great video, thanks!
    If you add country to the filter pane or as a slicer, would the Python visual interact with the selection made in the filter?

    Thank you for the demonstration! Quick question, could I output a data set from the Python script? For example, if I load the fields in the same way you did, could I then process the data and generate an tabular data out of it? Many thanks, just subscribed!

    I am trying to uncompressed a column in a dataset using pandas and lzstring. I have used this syntax but the Python script errors with TypeError: 'function' object is not subscriptable
    # 'dataset' holds the input data for this script
    import pandas as pd
    import lzstring as lz
    df = pd.DataFrame(dataset)
    df['DecompreseedAssets'] = lz._decompress['MigratedAssets']
    MigratedAssets column has data that is compressed using lzstring
    Could you help please?

    • @BIElite
      @BIElite  6 років тому +1

      Hey Joshua, a couple others (besides matplotlib and seaborn) that I use are ggplot and geoplotlib. I haven't tried them in Power BI yet but will be soon. I assume that plotly will not work natively in a Python Visual as it doesn't in an R visual, but that might be something to try out

    Hello... Thanks for the video. I however have a question regarding Python and Power BI visuals. I hope that you can give me some lights on how to go through the solution. I believe that you are aware about the Narrative Visual that convert any graph to a narrative. I'm looking for a way using Python (or else - I prefer Python) to take control over that Narrative Visual and pass the narrative text in a variable converting it to Audio and play it in another Python Visual. Is it possible ? if yes how ?

    When will PBI introduce interactive visual by R or Python packages ?

    • @BIElite
      @BIElite  5 років тому

      Not sure that this is in the plans any time soon. R visuals have been out for years without interactive visuals being released. You can make your own interactive R visuals by creating a custom visual, but this isn't supported with Python yet I believe.

    • @BIElite
      @BIElite  5 років тому

      +ynwtint I don't think the visuals are supported yet. You can run Python scripts if you are connected to a personal gateway. I haven't tried this yet but I am planning to. I'm hoping that Python becomes generally available in this month's update

    • @BIElite
      @BIElite  6 років тому +1

      +Carlo Ezra Martinez Ruiz yes to a degree! You can write a python script inside of a Python visual which will make the code execute every time there is a slicer or visual change. It's pretty handy

    • @bablushaw6856
      @bablushaw6856 4 роки тому +1

      Interactive calls in the Python script, such as waiting for user input, halts the script’s execution. Refer: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-python-scripts
