    Nice track ! Had on Long Island NY 6 lane AFX using aftermarket 18” ,AFX 15” and 12” . 18’long x 8’ table . 9”and 12” banks and had to fudge in an extra 12” for the six lane as tight as possible . 24 volt two 12 volt deep cycle car batteries with a 24 volt charger . Parma controllers with 45 ohm resistors . 2 1/2 mile scale length . We ran stock motors with race gearing and better gravity magnets . Gave it away to my buddy because I had to move , but it’s better than ever . He made it 28’ long .

      That sounds awesome! I grew up in West Islip, when I was a kid in the late 70's my buddy had a four lane AFX track up in his attic, we had a race club, the good old days...lol We raced mostly stock Magnatraction.

    Love viper chassis I have a bunch of different flavors from stock to $150 builds 😊 viper jet is cool to run can get frustrating tho lmao 🤣 …my favorite is level 10 motor magnets 3 ohm balanced arm with level 4 traction magnets

      The level 10 motor level 4 traction sounds like a good combo, not quite as much down force. I imagine they would be a little more fun to drive sitting in the middle of a VSPEC and Modified. I may have to try that combo...thx.

      @@marksslotcargarage yes it’s fast but still needs to be driven… it’s a good mix

    Stop showing yer track! I'm losing it! hahahah Thx for the Viper info, and glad I got my 2 VSpecs, though I suspect I need to talk to Viper about the blue one being noisy-ish...

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  Рік тому +1

      You know you love it...lol As for your blue car I could not really hear the difference. Did you run it without the body? Sometimes the lexan body needs to be trimmed a little more.

    • @Gale_Force_Raceway
      @Gale_Force_Raceway Рік тому

      @@marksslotcargarage of course I do LOL! And maybe I’ll do a short about it - rather pronounced in person - definitely not body but motor/chassis.

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  Рік тому

      @@Gale_Force_Raceway hmm ok, how does the motor spin compared to the other car? Is it not as smooth? Are you comfortable with tearing the chassis down and rebuilding it? I like to add a .10 spacer at the top of the armature, it lines the brushes up better with the commutator. Also how is the Endbell timing set? Are they both in the middle position?

    Again, really enjoyed all your videos. So nice that you take your time and share things with us. That brings up a special request in an area really no one has covered throughly. There is Tomy Turbo, Tomy SRT then there is stock Bulldog AFX Turbo and BDR SRT all with standard 6ohm Mitsubishi. I think both SRTs have 35 grade neodymium traction magnets. Then their is the NC Bulldog with Super 7 motor and Level 10 traction magnet. Then their is also the Super 7 SC and GT. Any chance you could do a performance comparison between them like you did here? Maybe all with good back tires anyway since the Tomy backs most likely would be replace for good silicones. That would be a true awesome video to:)

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  Рік тому

      Thanks James, I will see what I can go on that request.

      @marksslotcargarage  Рік тому

      I did do a video a while back comparing the different Bulldog chassis's and the Tomy Turbo and SRT, the only ones missing are the Super 7 chassis. Have you checked out that video?

    • @MyFlash43
      @MyFlash43 Рік тому

      I did, the problem is, the video didn’t cover the different bulldogs very much. The best one looked like it had a super 7 motor in it with level 10 traction magnet? The SRT had problems to. Would be nice to see them on the viper track to. Thank you either way.

    Thank you what voltage should you run Vipers/AFX on the viper track?

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  5 місяців тому

      I run my track at 18.5 volts. You can run them lower if you want or even up to 22 volts but 18 to 18.5 volts is what my club runs at. Thanks

    Camera almost doesnt pick the 2.5 ohm cars up. Unbelievable......are you getting foam for the wood trim so cars dont get damaged?

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  Рік тому

      The wood trim does have foam already installed, 3 inch high by 3/8 inch thick. When the cars were hitting that bare wood it was a horrible sound...lol I am glad to have the foam installed.

    Can you tell what is the best controller for these cars ??

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  2 місяці тому

      Depends on your budget. A decent controller with a sensitivity setting is your best overall option as that controller will run just about any car. If you are looking for a good budget controller the Difalco DD505 or the OS3 Lite are both good options.

    How many running feet is the new layout?
