- We are discussing embodied prayers in Yoruba and Congo religious systems, live at 6:30PM (EST) on June 10th.
Join Chief Baba Neil Clarke, Iya Amma McKen, Iya Danys Mora, Artist-Scholar Yesenia Selier, and Moderator Iya Marinieves Alba in examining dance, drumming, and song - sacred arts in Yoruba and other African and Indigenous traditions around the world. They’ll draw from their own experiences to discuss how these art forms allow the body to be a sacred vessel used to communicate with the divine realms.
Priestess Perez, I am crying….. Yes…..I need you, We need You….Thank you, As’e
Religious consciousness is here to stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thank you for re-awakening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ASÈ! Love this conversation and the dialogue about it all starts with our ancestors
We need more
I like so much my traditional religion as first religion of us
Life kulture the "way" spoken orally mouth to ear. more than a "religion"
Wonderful Dialogue. Thank You Ashe’
Thank you Chief Baba Neil Clarke for explaining why this religious tradition was not practiced in the USA. I remember as a child dancing in African tradition ways. I’m not sure if it came to me in dreams but my soul was yearning Africa and its traditions. As a little girl I found this very hard to find the education/traditions and I grew up in Black Christian traditions.
Priestess Perez so wonderful and powerful
The focus on healing ourselves to heal the children. They need us.
Blessings unto you all. I am humbled by your words, of everyone who shared gems & experiences of what your journey was like. May The ALMIGHTY ONE, our spiritual guides & our ancestors be pleased with you all. Yes, all of you are so greatly needed. May I join you in my service to others, one day soon.
Much respect & ❤️ from a new devotee in the Akan family,
Amiynah
I need to study under each one of you. I need to go to live in the different areas. I need to dance. I am seeking the language of the drum.
All Praise to the Most High Yahweh in All of His Glory and Honor and Power and Praise and to our Mosf holy Ancestors of the Holy Sacred Order of The Priesthood of Yahweh
