To install: PAY NO ATTENTION TO VIDEO. remove cover, then remove blue thing. Then slide onto new arm, this may be slightly frustrating at first, don't get discouraged, the tabs go in the arm, the arm will slide in-between the top and middle in that slot. Give a good push until you see it slide on.
@@ishmamrahman877 it should be a really firm click, you might have to push a little harder. Last time I changed mine one went on no problem and the other I was wrestling in the parking lot for 10 minutes with trying to get it lined up correctly.
broke the damn wiper trying to "easily snap on and off" the connectors was still in the Walmart parking lot, returned that shit faster than you could say "worst wiper ever"
Absolutely no instructions on how to remove the connector piece that was installed at factory as I needed J type connector which I believe is the most common. Why the hell not leave both connectors separate in the package so the installer can easily choose which style they need. I had to use a vise-grip as well as a slip joint pliers to remove the connector I didn’t need. Fortunate I didn’t damage the wiper blade or myself as you need a lot of force to pull them apart. Never buying RainX wiper blades in the future. This was ridiculous.
SIMPLE? maybe for a machine shop. The pre installed not will NOT come off. 15 minutes of tugging, pulling and coaxing resulted in nothing more than a sore finger. Back to Walmart and a different brand
Ok so I am with the rest of you .. was very difficult to get off especially the 24" one .. eventually had to use a screwdriver... installing on the vehicle wasn't as hard as I anticipated .. this company should just have all the attachments loose in the tubing and for us consumers to attach which ever piece needed best for installation .. so far I will not be buying these wipers again as I am not liking the set up .. disappointed rain-x
This video is complete bullshit, there is no way that thing is coming off like shown. I've held the damn thing down on the floor with my feet and tried pulling up with both hands and the only thing that seems to be happening is that I'm at risk of snapping the entire thing into two pieces.
Thanks for all these comments that let me know I wasn't crazy or not smart enough to change my own wiper blades! Once I took off the outer extra part and the blue thing, I thought it was confusing to install because the longer prong things go on the inside of the arm,, but the head part goes on the outside. I hope that might be helpful to somebody.
Why would you use PTB as a shortened version of "Pinch Tab"? People are trying to online search for an answer... so we will buy your product... and you shorten the actual name of the device you are trying to install your wiper upon? Come on guys... I could be a better online advertisement supervisor for you, and I have no experience.
Getting the pre-installed connector of is extremely difficult once you find out how to do it. I needed vise-grips and a slipjoint pliers and a very strong pull is needed. Why they didn’t supply connectors separately in a bag so you can choose the right one for your particular wiper arm is beyond me. My Altima has the J hook style which I believe is the most common and the pre-installed connector in the package needs to be removed first to install the other connector. I would bet 50% of people will not figure it out and will damage the blade or themselves if they cannot use the pre-installed connector. I will never buy RainX wiper blades again. This was total BS design.
The Lattitude blades I receive from Amazon have a different preinstalled connector without any additional connectors in the package. They are going back.
same thing happened to me - i went onto rain x site and the video showed an alternative method - using a screwdrive shoved in the other end - & prying up ... this worked!
I've pulled and pulled on the preinstalled bracket and it doesn't come off. The video makes it look like it wasn't even attached. How did you pull it off without the blade even bending. I pull on it and pull on it and it won't budge. The wiper blade feels like it's going to break. These may be going back to the store.
Ignore the Rain-X video. I installed these on my 2022 civic hatch in 5 minutes once I reviewed the instructions that came with the blades. For this model year you need to follow the directions for the Narrow PTB arm. Remove the black plastic top cover, then remove the blue plastic cover. Then remove the old blades by pushing the tab on the arm and sliding them up and out. Make sure to follow the instructions in your civic manual to put to the wipers in maintenance mode first!! Pinch the black plastic protruding teeth on the Rain-X connector so you can fit them into the arm and push down. The connector will slide and click into place. Follow the instructions in your car’s manual to take the wipers out of maintenance mode. Done.
The only way I was able to get pre installed piece off was by using a table vice. Turned it upside down, tightened it on the plastic piece enough to hold it in place, pulled it up by putting my hand right next to both ends of the piece and gave it nice pull. Came clean off.
this is the most underrated comment on this video. I tried the screwdriver method and it was going to end up screwing up the wipers. Bench vise worked like a charm. Thank you!

THANK YOU! Literally saw this after like 20 minutes of me trying to shove it on😂
Thank you so much! This is what I remember from the last time I did this, but then I thought I remembered wrong when I saw this video.
Thank you! And a big F U to RainX for wasting my time. How hard is it to make a decent installation video. Ridiculous!
I just installed mine it looks like its installed fine but it's a little flimsy. Is that normal?

same here. whoever stupid engineer altered the old and working removal tab design should be fired.
the heck... is this an older model video or something? >:( mine doesn't work this way. Common rain-x...
Garbage! Won't be using these ever again. OEM are less expensive. Better quality and last far longer. Plus, a lot easier to install.

These are by far the stupidest fucking wipers ever. Bosch installs in seconds. I broke this piece of shit.
it's almost Impossibru!
DONT THINK FOR A SECOND THAT THIS IS EASY! IT ISNT!
I thought it was just me - That preinstalled connector just doesn't come off!!
I guess I'll return these.
No clicky-clicky on a 2010 Honda Civic coupe PTB arm. Not good.
I got the attached piece off...however I can't get the other one on....whoever is in this video is apparently Hercules.... Stupid design.
Wtf they getting these new adapters???! I have a blade with one adapter pre fitted. Did not come with a second adapter to install.

wont be buying these again, piss poor design.

I have the same problem. Been pulling on that thing for about 30 mins. It wont come off.
What gives?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!!!??!!?!

How do you click it in 33 seconds. Can't get the thing to click
I cannot get the pre-installed connectors off either. Must be a trick one in the video. I will return these and go back to Bosch.

had to pull off from one side in particular, now getting one of them to "snap in" is impossible! it is not "that simple" at all
Isn't compatible with 2015 Jeep renegade even though website said it was. Not even close.
This isn't even close to how this type of blade connector works.
I real hate music in these type of videos

I love how they always use a woman to demo. They don't tell you it took her 6 months to learn how to do it.
