So many good pianists... I do not care, we will get there my noob friends!!!
Starting to learn 3 years ago to be able to compose such a nice piece in that short a timeframe is really impressive.
Got some good pianists as fans
Since you reacted to rachmaninoff piano concerto 2 you should do a breakdown of the entire piece
It would be a very long video 😂
@@matticawood lmaooo split it up per movement 😂
Thank you for your amazing feedback will definitely play around ❤
started playing piano on 2020 but never took it siriously. This last year I started playing piano on holidays and I´ve been able to play Valse op. 64 no 2 (chopin) Invention no 1 (Bach) and decided to play in an audition Asturias (Albeniz), now, I started working on the chopin ballade no 1 since dicember and I just know the half, and at the same time learning Etude op 10 no 12 and claire de lune (Debussy). They are difficult pieces but im dedicating my free time to it. Hope I can send a performance for the next vid :)
Brilliant Video. Thanks for your great Videos
I love this series
I’m glad you like it! 😊
@@matticawoodwe’re here for it! ❤❤
I love these videos!
14:36 That's a Sonic The Hedgehog OST, Green Hill Zone
I had no idea 😂
When you remade this part I went crazy how good you are.
I only took 5 lessons so far. Subbed your so good.
@@matticawood
It be nice for you to explain each concerto no 2 I’m trying to learn it but it so confusing
Sadly my piano is broken so it doesnt sound that good on camera :(
Also not good irl since by broken, i mean all of its keys sound like hammers hitting hard and since the cost to change them all its almost as a new piano, we cant really afford it rn
I can teach you how to fix it it’s simple and easy
@@josuemendoza8468 i dont think you get what i mean.. You can't really fix them.. You need them changed
@@Gworn1 how’s is broken? Details
@@Gworn1 its acoustic or electric?
@@Gworn1 I fix free pianos for myself I never buy one
Geoffrey Rush won a Best Actor Oscar for playing a guy who went crazy learning “Rach 3” (Shine, 1996)
Imagine if the first subscriber was the one who turned the pages😂
Ah the prelude in g minor. I can't do it and have to talk way through but my 10 year old son managed to play it last year when he was 9.
🎉🎉🎉
Hey dude
Actually I have a question
How can you guess the chords completely corect with out any information about the tonality ❤❤
Hey there!
I wanna ask if it's sensible to learn liszt etude no 10 or 12 and which would be better to learn
For context:
I learned bethoven appasionata and chopin 1st scherzo and 2nd ballade and his op 25 no 12 ocean and op 10 no 4 torrent etudes all in around 8 months
number 10 isn't that bad, 12 is hard, the other pieces you named aren't that bad either though
what piano(s) do you use?
Can you do a breakdown of chopin ballade no.1 op23 in g minor
I can't believe you don't know Sonic's theme
Great vid! But I (one month of self-teaching) will surely have to upload a video to lower the standards and to keep your subscribers happy. :)
React to Tokio Myers!!
First 😊❤
Tbh, that first clip with the 2nd piano sounds messy to me because both blend together and I can't hear what one is playing vs the other. Maybe I'm just a scrub but any other instrument to play along would have been better than a 2nd piano
Aren’t they playing four handed on one grand piano?
@Planeswalker0 nope its two, u can tell by the legs in the back as each piano will have 3 legs. And u can see the tip of the second piano, also they're too far apart for to be just one
That's one of the problems with being a pianist learning a concerto 😅 It is the standard for concerto players to rehearse with a second pianist, but when you are a pianist, it becomes difficult to separate the sounds of two instruments with the same timbre
Its actually written for another instruments and not for 2 piano but not any orchestra can play whole concerto for u everytime you practice
3:19 so F Dorian?
Not quite, it’s still roughly in C minor it’s just starting on the subdominant (chord 4) but used chromatic movement to make us unsure as to whether it’s in F minor, C minor or some other key.
It’s done quite a lot in classical music, another good example is Beethovens symphony no. 1 in C major…it starts with a series of chords (cadences) that don’t make sense in C major…but eventually it lands with a cadence on a C major chord and that makes it much more satisfying when we finally arrive there 😊
For it to be modal it would need to have a clear tonal center (F) and a clear scale (F G Ab Bb C D Eb) with the scale and chords relating to that tonal center. In this case it doesn’t have that and there are some Db’s thrown in to some of the chords to make us think it might be in F minor and an F dominant 7th chord to make us think it might be in Bb major 😊
I miss the shorts.
Pobudzone
damn eriic cartmen died this week and he put rach 2 in that ballad he did.
it's so weird to hear 7ths non rootless.
Cool video man I like this idea. also cool to see you in the practice room!
Dude don't know Sonic lol
Evidentially not! 😂
Recording the video i sent with only "8 fingers" was not funn 😂
8 fingers?!
@@matticawood yes i hurt myself at practice back then
I don’t like older music. The first performance sounded like trash to me. Not saying it’s not impressive, but I would never want to learn to play this song.
I encourage you to listen to the entire piece with orchestra and in a recording space without an extreme echo and then come to your opinion on the beloved Rach 2

Older music (classical music) beats all these lousy modern pop music and boss music
Yea, please give it a chance. I used to find classical music pretty boring, until I actually listened to it more and gave it a serious chance. Now I can see, how incredible (good) some pieces are, I mean you don't have to like every piece, but e.g. the first video/piece is pretty popular and has like 40+ million views on UA-cam
U will acquire permission to judge that performance after you stop calling it song and learn the definition of what piece is
