Thank you so much! Finally I can make one with my glue gun. I’ve been watching videos and your video is the first one for people with no sewing machine or no patience for sewing. Going to Dollar Tree tomorrow. Thank you😊
I'm so happy that you made one!😊 I would love to see a picture of it! Come join my Facebook group and show us how it came out. The link is the description. Have a blessed day!
Thank you! I hate dusters lol I don’t use them because you need to replace them so much. This, however, I will definitely try! I have a sewing machine, but will try the glue version first.
Does shammy attract dust like microfiber? I thought of shammy is to absorb a lot of liquid. I wasn't aware that it picks up dust. Some people suggest using flannel or fleece
Thank you and thanks for watching! 😊 I'm not familiar with the striped rags you are talking about but if they attract dust easily they should work. Thanks for sharing your idea! 👍
Thank you for viewing my video and for your geat question! 😊The four layers together is rather thick. If your machine can handle that with ease then by all means that is a quicker way to go. I suggest sewing just 2 layers at a time to avoid stress on the machine. Thanks again and have a blessed day!
@@NanasCorner I gotcha. I was assuming that was why but I wanted to be sure. I have a decent machine and leather needles. I may just give it a go. Thanks for responding! 💕
The commercial dusters are coated with a very thin layer of oil to help pick up dust. That’s why the card stock boxes they come in are coated with plastic inside. Wonder if some oil in an atomizer would work if you sprayed your reusable cloth dusters.

Thanks so much Nana, I moved overseas and can't buy the refills here, you are a life saver.
You are so welcome! I’m so glad I could help. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to assist. 😊
I just made me one and I love it! God bless you.

nifty idea👌 saves money, i wonder if those washable striped rags you find at dollar tree will work as its lighter might dry easier then the shammy

I will make the hot glue ones, at first anyway, since I have alot of felt I can use and my machine bobbin tension needs adjusting
Denise the hot glue one works well. I washed the one I glued and it held up pretty well! Good luck with adjusting your tension! 😀
@@NanasCorner Thanks for the good luck, I think I'm gonna need it, lol
Neat idea! Think I would do glue first.
Thanks Judy! The glue option is very quick! Both collect dust very well! Thanks for watching and let me know how it works out if you do! 😊
Excellent
Thank you for watching. I'm so glad you liked it! 😁
Not to put in dryer or use fabric softener as it looses its absorbency if you do.
Why can't you stitch all 4 layers down the middle then fold the short bits back to stitch the pocket edge in?

Thank you for what you are doing but shammys do not lock dust the way the real swiffter dusters do.
