Key to auto body work first in last out. If the car was hit from the front you will want to start with straightening the rocker panels and floor. By doing so you Relieve stress build-up in the metal. Good luck can't wait to see it when it's done.

Looks like a great start! I'm not sure exactly where your located but you might want to get in contact with V Tuned. He's awesome with framework and could probably help you out. I know he's worked with many other youtubers.
Of course big fan as usual but that miata does sound like there's some slight valve tick, might need to be bled or reshimmed, or the good ol' thicker weight oil trick. Common NA and NB problems, usually told by when you give it gas there's a light tapping noise on the inside of the valve cover. Just food for thought!
