Dunya - Same Sky (Official Music Video)

Personal, artsy and Hamburg vibes. In their new video Dunya tells about the precious connection between two people. The sky is the connecting element. Like the heart, it is witness to beautiful and defining moments.
Through space and time we all look at the same sky. The song Same Sky by the band Dunya is characterized by a melancholic retropop charm. A relaxed drumbeat meets a composition of lovingly arranged jazz harmonies.
Probably the poppiest Dunya song was released mid last year on the self-titled debut EP on La Pochette Surprise Records. With the video for Same Sky, Dunya releases their 3rd video for the EP. Where Toprak and Moonkeeper reside on the meta level, Same Sky is distinctly more personal. The inspiration for the song is singer Banu's close relationship to her sister Aylin, which is also depicted in the video. The personal bond is also clearly expressed on the musical level. For example, Aylin sang the backing vocals for Same Sky.
