Hades was literally the only Greek god that was actually doing his job, which is managing the underworld :D
Yeah, he was one of if not the only greek god that was not actually that bad of a guy
@@manutdedits2726 Even as a kid i know that disney got the hercules story wrong, but few days ago I watch it with my niece for the first time in maybe 15 years and holly fuck, I couldn't believe how much they butchered the whole story
it's too bad that the "afterlife" places in atleast both greek and norse often is just a copy of the cristian hell in popular media (kinda strange that the greeks would pay 2 coins to the ferryman to get there right?)
its such bullshit, he they even changed the way that the hydra regenerates and how herakles kills it
yeah even though Hel in norse mythology is actually icey and cold and not hot
Great timing klan member conversation as the song subtitles say, "not in the Klan.......its just a hood"
Yeah Midas's story is one if not the most misinterpreted story from Greek mythology, people think his story is about greed when the whole reason why he wanted the golden touch was to spread wealth among his citizens, the story literally starts with Midas teaching one of his subordinates about generosity, Midas was an all around cool dude he threw parties with the poor where he gave food and water freely he even let people stay at his house if they had nowhere else to go but because of his association with gold and him being a king people nowadays just assume he was an asshole.
Another story I feel like is constantly misinterpreted, though not an actual myth, is the tortoise and the hare
Everyone acts as if that story is about slow and steady winning the race but it’s not, it’s about arrogance, if the hare hadn’t stopped to gloat he’d have won, the fact that his competitor was a tortoise changed nothin
@@jonasquinn7977 people really don’t get that? Wow
The first story is covered in the Sandman graphic novel series in a REALLY interesting way. I can’t remember exactly which book in the series it is but it’s done brilliantly
Okay about the first story Hades never said he was gonna marry Orpheus wife he's only said dead person can't return to the realm of the living also when he's heard Orpheus music he's also touched by his music and that's why he let Orpheus wife go under the condition stated in the video
And fun fact Hades is shedding tears when he heard Orpheus music and his tears is made of iron
@@Ivnnih2774 Iron Tears sound like either a metal band or a space marine chapter
@@Fordo007 to be fait. Iron tears may been a chapter in lore standards, 2 legions are redacted so that people can made their own chapters
Fun comic fact on Wolverine: Wolverine is actually easy to kill, but requires curtain circumstances... You truthfully just have to bait him to a room and then flood it. Regen doesn't prevent drowning... This actually almost happened to him before but he was narrowly saved. You best believe he is aware of this as well(Assuming the current writers know and care for the preset lore). Not to mention having an adamantine skeleton and swimming DO NOT go well together. Yes, Wolvie can swim..... That doesn't mean it is easily done.
or he just can climb any wall with his claws
That's a temporary solution in most cases though. I'm pretty sure there was a time when 100% of his skin, viscera and organs were obliterated by superheated ball of plasma and he returned back like it was nothing ten seconds later despite there being not a single drop of blood remaining to regenerate from. I think you mistake the drowning thing for X-23's handler who had impenetrable skin (and pretty much everything else), but got drowned to death like a chump in a single page. Wolverine is basically SCP-682 lite - you can *contain* him almost indefinitely by sending him off to drift into space or chaining him inside a stone coffin and dropping him into the sea, but most of his different iterations would most likely remain alive in suspended animation.
Kira should've listened to the lyrics at 24:47 ;P
34:52 that one was Minos not Midas. bonus the minotaur (wich means bull of minos) was named Asterius
Kitt has such a good eye for his Chicago-snacks, I wouldn't be surprised to see some anime or Vtuber reactions in the future
Regarding who killed Orpheus...."a group of irate women".....otherwise known as just women. Even when women are laughing and having a good time they are subconsciously searching for something to upset them. Although to be fair it could be just my shit taste in partners mixed with me just being me. 😆
33:00 No, that's Minos. It'd be like confusing Chicago with Connetticut.
🌟Fun Fact:
Grapes are Poisonous to Foxes so the douchebag fox really lucked out.
My favorite myth or stories are the about the Coyote and Tarantula. They're both Native American tricksters who end up getting in trouble.
On this day of triumph Friday 24th of June a historic undertaking has been achieved The Institution of Roe V. Wade was recently overturned by the Supreme Court, The notorious institution which had perished countless innocent souls in the camouflage of Women's rights has finally been abolished the Blood and sweat shed for this endeavor is tremendous, The heinous act of abortion which for a long time was sponsored by Taxpayers money has reached its end, This is day celebration to all who cherish unborn lives.
Wow really dragging one out of the vault
34:47 The mother of Minotaur is Pasiphaë. Daughter of god of the Sun, Helios, and the Oceanid nymph Perse. Her husband was King Minos of Creta. As Minotaur means The Bull of Minos.
Why is it so hard to balance the sound levels of the video? I had to keep changing the volume between 100% for the video you react to, and 5% for your yelling.
Needless to say I got bored of that after a few minutes...
Question: Will you guys see the rest of Warhammer with Bricky? He did a part 2 after all...
Was just trying to up the tension lol. Glad you've been enjoying it so much!
The people that killed orpheus were worshippers of diyonisus. Festivals and other celebrations of him were celebrated by killing and ripping apart both animals and people. They actually keep his head and do some magic shit with it so he can sing forever
You’re really misremembering that Hades/Persephone thing.
Hades kidnapped her and was ordered to give her back but when he did he gave her pomegranate seeds. If you eat food from the underworld you have to stay there so she eats the pomegranate seeds and has no other choice but to be his wife now cause she’s stuck there.
can you please react to more TF2 SFM's? 👍
hate it when you trying to read Psalm 137: 9 and some weird-ass lady next door is committing indicent exposure
hillariously, hades was among the single gods that ACTUALLY did their jobs... another i can easily name is hephaestus, god of the forge, and as such literally spends his entire existance firging shit constantly refining his unimaginably amazing craftsmanship skills...
edit: i mean... if you play an unending tune so horrid for days on end that women in your area suddenly start having miscarriages, wouldnt surprise me that the local women would want to do that... also kitt is correct on the david thing, and as per god being wrathful, that basicly ends up being davids most costly mistake, since the children born into their lineage will NEVER see eye to eye to a violent degree(which later down the line ends up making 2 things happen, the first being one of his kids leading a rebelion with the plot of regicide, and the other is that the jewish kingdom is fractured for a very long time basicly making there be 2 kingdoms in the same general territory)...
btw, david was chronologically supposed to be in his early 70's when the soldier's wife thing happens, so its even wierder than you might think... and yes iv done a metric fuckload of reseach on this because its stuff iv learned since i was little.
edit 2: quick regen doesnt mean you cant break your bones kitt, it just means you fix yourself really fast...
1:57 Generally speaking, earlier poets depicted Medusa as a monster from birth, alongside her immortal sisters, but later mostly Roman writers say she began as a beautiful maiden but was turned into a monster by Athena or Minerva (Roman counterpart to Athena.)
You guys should react to OSP's video about Hades and Persephone
I always appreciate a Venture Brothers reference.
Theres a song called icarus by bastille i think
Clan members do not wear white and blue Kira
Asking for the regenerating but not the adamantium skeleton(which was injected one time) is honestly not that good since your more durable in the event of mangled by a truck and literally have a bulletproof skull that can't break.
Midas wasn’t the king with the wife and the bull, that was King Minos, easy to get confused though can’t blame you.
Honestly my favorite mythology story is the creation myth and the ragnarok story from Norse mythology. Although there’s so many good stories from Norse mythology it’s kinda hard to choose just one.
I love that their description of Socrates is just Diogenes.
Myth all of g is an interesting topic. Would y'all care to share your favorites?
