I just love the way Sarah interacts with people. She's always so happy. And her photos are always on point. She sees the humanity around her and captures it extraordinarily. Wonderful video, as always!
I am absolutely mindblown on how quick Sarah's eyes and reactions are to taking photos. I would take ages to frame any of those shots and they'll won't be any as good.
Really appreciate your videos. I find them very relatable and informative. I love your photos, too. I think what resonates with me is your shoot from the hip mentality, which has always been my go to technique. Although I’m getting more into engaging with the subjects I’m shooting, I also feel like the candid moments are best when people aren’t aware they’re being photographed. Your videos give me more confidence in developing my approach more. Thanks!
Once again, (and as so often) I admire your extraordinary powers of observation and the fact that you always notice such special motifs and moments in the midst of these crowds and capture them with your camera. All of this in a respectful manner. I like your cheerful and empathetic way of communicating with the people around you. That is one of the reasons why I always enjoy following your photo walks and look at the results with great interest. 1:36 is one of my favorites among many others. Stay healthy and cheerful, Sarah! Many greetings from afar - Monika
Amazing photographs, with somber undertones of the state of the less than well off sections of our nation. I loved the beache scenes with the undeniable innocence of the children at play. Well done.
Another great video. I am so happy to see street photo shots of people. Shots of people are so much better than all the cliches you currently see on social media. Well done.
Photos are terrific. And the video showing the genesis of each is very instructive. I found myself saying "yes, the pink elephant, go on!" There's no way I am brave enough to take many of these. Partly being male (or is that an excuse!). Mostly just being a coward. Oh well. You inspired me. Thanks Sarah!
Really enjoyable video. Lovely interaction and some really great shots. I presume your Doberman was out of shot carrying all the gear in a doggy backpack :)
Greetings from Pakistan 🇵🇰 . I have been a fan of this channel for a long time. I always wondered what is the story behind the channel name ? Sarah’s eye for street and just the skill to capture just the right moment and sentiments is extraordinary
Hi, do you still bring it up to your eye or just point and shoot without looking through the view finder before taking the shot. Its so smooth and fast 😂
Great walking video Sarah, I only wish you'd captured the image of the 2nd Donkie lady with the four Donkie heads in front of her, timecode 4:04. Blackpool what an amazing place for street photography, what's it like in winter?
Thank you. Not sure what image you are referring to. In winter, Blackpool is very quiet. If you get a good Saturday with sunny weather, it might pick up a bit because of the Christmas market and illuminations, but otherwise it's pretty bleak.
Enjoyed this latest video and another like for the reflected Charlie Chaplin - worth it just for that one IMO. For my taste the editing seems a bit harsh but I know many like it that way. :)
Agree with many comments but sometimes found myself wishing you had stayed with a subject a little longer and explored it a little more - different moments, different perspectives, etc. Not all the time, but sometimes when the scene feels like it's beckoning for it - or so I felt in a few instances.
If you’ve ever been out with Sarah, you will know that if the situation calls for it, she will stay with the situation. If she doesn’t, there is a good reason for that. / Jeff
@@WalkLikeAlice Of course that's one of the many things that distinguishes photographers from one another - whether or not they 'hear' a situation 'call' for more attention . . . and how they respond to it. That's the wonder of subjectivity.
Settings aren’t anything special. Set the iso for the environment. Aperture to f5.6. Shoot in aperture priority. Sometimes I’ll zone focus and sometimes I’ll focus. I don’t tend to think about the technical side when shooting.
Are you a left eyed or right eyed? I’m left eyed but I think on the Leica it’s faster to shoot with the right. Wish I was more a people person like Sarah 😅
Always fascinating to see the number of people who are comfortable being an a&& on a social network or comment section. There is absolutely no chance they would say this to their face in person, but with the safety and anonymity of a random screen name they have the “courage” to do it.
Oh Eltin, perhaps if you showed some of your wonderfully composed images to your 2 subscribers, you may have a point. But thanks for the laugh anyway, we always know someone like you is coming and we just can’t wait to see how far you all will go.
I had a 25mm Voigtlander viewfinder on the cold shoe of my Lumix S9 with the 26mm pancake, helped a lot in the walk and shoot style as the S9 has no viewfinder. I was surprised how useful, but weirdly that was then the deciding factor on selling the S9 and going back to Fujifilm X series. I'm happy to use the viewfinder less much lighter X-M1 though. Sorry a bit off topic!
I just love the way Sarah interacts with people. She's always so happy. And her photos are always on point. She sees the humanity around her and captures it extraordinarily. Wonderful video, as always!
That’s very nice of you to say. Thank you 😊
It's nice to see a real street photographer on UA-cam, not just some kid taking random snaps! excellent work, thanks
Thanks for watching.

Thank you. It’s years of practice and experience and concentrating on using the same lens/camera combination for nearly a decade.
Beautiful photographs throughout. I would gladly watch an hour long video of you just wandering like this. Hugely impressive and inspiring!
Thank you. That’s very nice of you to say so.
I love the separation of subjects around the @4:51 mark.

Wonderful video and captures! Many of the shots are so spot-on humorous they made me laughed out loud. 😆
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Totally amazing. I watch so many street photographers in action on UA-cam and Instagram, but this is next-level stuff. Every shot is wonderful.
Thank you. That’s very nice of you to say.
I’m a recent subscriber and want you to know that I am loving your work. Now I have a lot of your previous videos to watch. Really good stuff.
Thank you, Bill 🙏

Some excellent shots Sarah. Great to capture everyday life.
Thank you. Yes it is!!
Brilliant images Sarah, another craking video 👍
🙏🙏
Sarah has a great eye for detail and composition. Some good captures here.
Thank you
Love the photos. 2:51 is my favourite. The two ladies with the shades makes some form of a connect with you.
They were kind of surprised when I took their picture but unsure as to what I was doing.
I really like your videos, your pictures and your laughter! 😃
Thanks for watching!!
loved the Charlie Chaplin reflection in the Taxi window. Inspiring video

Thank you
great images, really enjoyed this one.😀
Thank you
It is delightful to see you at work, your technique with the 28mm, and the wonderful results it yields.
You are very kind. Thank you.

Very nice and calming.
Thank you
Superb video and photos. Love the lady and gull moment 😂
When you look at the audio waveform from the woman and the gull, they look almost identical 😂
Enjoyed that a lot, excellent work
Thank you 🙏
Love your images Sarah, giving me some new ideas on how to use the 28mm. Miss seeing that 4 legged movie star (Zander)
Haha. Xander will be back soon!!
Great photos Sarah!
Thank you
Thank you

Hahaha. He was at home with Jeff!! He will be back soon.
What a fun photo walk

It’s part of a quote from Tony Ray-Jones. The full quote can be seen in the channel description. Hope this helps 🙂
off the bw is soo good crisp love it!
Thank you

I always bring the camera to my eye before taking a shot 🙂
watching this channel I became interested in the 28mm so I'm buying one!
Enjoy!
Lovely pictures. What is your setting on your Leica Monochrome? Thanks
Settings?

Хорошие фото. У вас получается стрит.
Это такой большой отлив на море?
I laughed at the woman laughing like a gull and then cut to the sound of a seagull haha!
The audio waveforms were remarkably similar!! 🤣
Enjoyed that a lot
Thank you 🙏
what viewfinder adapter are you using for the 28?
Leica Brightline. The plastic one.
That laugh gull edit is best thing after Tomorrow Never Knows straight ,

You seem to just point and shoot and get a cracker every time. What are your camera settings and do you zone focus?

What camera are you using? It takes pretty pictures.
Read intro.
@@delukxy I am sorry I should have read intro, but I got involved in watching photos
It’s Sarah who takes the pictures, not the camera.
great video, want to see more edit video please~
Thank you.
Thanks, I enjoyed that. A nice diversion from moaning about only having two keepers from my walk this morning.
lol. We are always moaning about not getting anything 😂
The dog image should be titled Fish, Chips and Pees!
With comedy like that, you should be doing a season at the end of North Pier 😂
Are you a left eyed or right eyed? I’m left eyed but I think on the Leica it’s faster to shoot with the right. Wish I was more a people person like Sarah 😅
Sarah is left eyed.🙂
@@WalkLikeAlice I feel her pain. 😜
How is it legal to publish some of these photos showing their faves without them knowing / consent?
It's really simple. The lawmakers in my country decided that there is no expectation to privacy in a public place. 🙂
too wide. not for me. 50mm here. the one and only
nice video though
Thanks. We are all different.
A bit of spray and pray here some of the composition missed or half framed what a pity .....
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the latest contender for our “numpty of the month” award.
Show us your work Sir Eltin.

Hello
Why do you have 28mm view finder in hot shoe ?
Does your camera not support 28mm frame lines ?
You can’t see the 28mm framelines quickly and accurately while wearing glasses. That’s why we have external finders.
@WalkLikeAlice you must be zone focusing I take it then 👍 👌
Not always.

I use leica md-2 (blind leica) 28mm lens , zone focusing, 28mm view finder shooting f8 or higher light permitting
