So just for back story on this episode. The author herself cried watching this becuz of how beautiful it was. And this episode made demon slayer blow up like no other anime to this date. It’s manga sales passed one piece for months becuz of this single episode, not to mention the movie is now the best selling anime movie of all time

I’m glad you noticed tanjiros dad promised he would pass down the earrings. Keep that in mind whenever the swordsman muzan is afraid of is brought up so you don’t fall into “TANJIROS DAD!!” Trap especially later in the seasons where it’s pretty obvious it isn’t.
Tanjiro wears Hanafuda-like earrings. Hanafuda is Japanese cards and one of Nintendo's products at its start was Hanafuda.

animation carries this show and it's fax, can't even imagine if an anime like attack on titan was done like this. It would've been soo frikin good !! I already believe aot is better then the big 3, but with this kinda animation, it'd be the best anime undisputed. But still, i believe, the finale animated by mappa is much better then demon slayer animation.
Also hinokami translates to fire God and kagura can just be dance so some subs will call it dance of the fire God instead of hinokami kagura

hinokami=fire god in polytheist and old mythologies generally fire god represents sun god . in this show demon weak aganist the sun. so hinokami kagura enbu= holy dance of fire god (i added holy) offrered to fire god (maybe Amaterasu :)

Hanafuda cards are not very meaningful to Japanese people. A table game with a bit of a gambling feel. It's like a grandfather doing it with his grandson. There are some mysterious face cards, but if I'm talking about elegance, it's Hyakunin Isshu Karuta, and the Hanafuda cards are reminiscent of the gambling games in yakuza movies. So it was strange that Tanjiro's earrings were designed. In fact, there are many elements of the moon. I think it's because the design with the sun in it is difficult to use since there is only the national flag. There are many people who oppose the national flag.

Tanjiros father wasn't a demon slayer but he practiced the hinokami dance using the breathing technique inherited from their liniage . Tanjiro used that memory to use Sun breathing which is technically different from fire breathing . If he switched back to water his body would be exhausted so he had to just stick with sun breathing but if you notice when nezuko was first hung above tanjiro , she bled on his blade which is why at the end when she used her demon art exploding blood; it not only burned off rui's webs but the blood on tanjiros blade was also combined with his new hinokami kagura technique. - the word you were looking for for the earings is "hanafuda"
- the words on Guys' sword are "destroyer of demons"

- (no worries, this isn't a spoiler) about tanjiros' dad, muzans' flashback of the swordsman during episode 8, and the final fire attack Tanjiro used, we will start to get few hints here and there starting the second season (the entertainment district). no info will be revealed at once. we just need to piece things together a little by little
