    I really want to emphasize what Brett says here.# 1 take time to get to know the rebounder before you are planning to do any workouts on it especially when you are >50 (I'm 59)
    I used a rebounder before but especially the Belicon requires time 'getting used to' and is a complete 'new deal/game 'compare to any other trampolines.. The Bellicon is designed in such a manner that you will(need) use more muscles to get the balance you need to bounce savely for your joints and to use many more muscles. The bounce is far more deeper then other rebounders.
    I recently purchased the Belicon trampoline ..
    1) Does the size of the mat matters?
    2)Does the strength of the elastics matter in balance?

    • @brentsmith1
      @brentsmith1  3 місяці тому +2

      Well said Karin, thank you! We use muscles on the rebounder that we don't normally use so it's important to take our time.
      As to your questions, I believe the size of the mat is preference. Some like the freedom of the larger mat to make larger side-by-side movements and a more playful bounce. Where as I think most like the more controlled, tighter bounce feel of the smaller rebounder. Technically, the larger mat has a slightly softer bounce than the smaller one.
      For sure, the strength of the bungees makes a difference in balancing. The softer the bungees, the more you get displaced and increased angle of the mat. It's a great daily practice!
      I wish you so much fun and health!

    I really liked the Bellicon, but I have a problem with the long legs it has. First, I live in an apartment with low ceilings, and second, I am 75-years old and it is so tall that it's extremely difficult for me to just get on and off the thing. And if I fall, it's a LONG WAY DOWN. Any suggestions?

      I am 63 and I get what you’re saying about the height of the Bellicon. I am nervous as I get older about getting down off of it gracefully so I recently ordered the T bar for mine that I can hold onto when getting down from it (it was my 63rd birthday present from my husband) and that’s why I am on here today, checking to see if there is a video that shows how to install the T bar. I have the 49 inch size Bellicon.

      I just also bought the single T Bar and it's super easy to install, you just just the screw mechanism down tight. I still think the Bellicon is way too tall, even for younger people. It's totally unnecessary to build it so high off the ground!!! What benefit does this provide other than making it much farther to fall?? I actually wrote them about it and they really didn't care what I had to say. I'd call that customer service of the worst possible kind.

    I’m going to buy a rebounder and I’m looking at Jumpsport and Bellicon. Jumpsport is in my price range but my husband and I spend a lot of time on the road in our RV so I want one I can travel with and still use daily. It looks like Bellicon fits that role with the foldable legs and T handle but double the cost. Does anyone have experience with this type of traveling with the foldable leg Bellicon?
    The website has very little information including their return policy so I’m continuing my research before I buy. Brent, your videos have been extremely helpful! Thank you!😊

    • @brentsmith1
      @brentsmith1  Місяць тому

      Hi Cheri, thank you so much for the compliment!
      In your situation, the folding legs would be great, they are very easy to fold up and collapse. Adding the T-Bar to your setup would add an extra step to taking it out of the RV and setting up. Think about what would be the easiest for you to get on it. That is usually the biggest hurdle, that's why mine is in the middle of my living room. As far as quality to withstand a bunch of moving around, the bellicon is best.
      I wish you a wonderful time!

  • @ChristineNavarroTV

    Do you know how the t-bar would be with the 49”? I imagine it would not be as close to grip if you want to be jumping toward the center of the mat - 2.5” further it seems. I see there can already be a tendency to hunch over, depending on one’s height and arm length utilizing the t-bar on the 44”.
    Very frustrating they don’t make it more user-friendly. They could’ve easily made an additional adjustable joint where it bends to accommodate bending the upper arm to alleviate this issue.

    • @brentsmith1
      @brentsmith1  4 місяці тому

      Hello Christine, what a great point, I have never considered that.
      I don't see the issue of hunching over on the 44" because you can adjust the hight.
      My only consideration with the 49" would be, the bounce is softer than the 44" using the same strength bungees. So if your goal was to do HIIT training or similar, you would want the smaller surface. If you are doing more high intensity training, you will be in a hunched over position most of the time.
      The bar on the 49" would be used more for balance and support. I also don't see an issue doing higher intensity workouts not exactly in the middle. You can adjust the bungees on a regular basis to keep the tension even.
      Thank you for this thought and bringing it up to me. It's a great idea to do a video about. I wish you health and fun!

    This is just wonderful! I am looking forward to purchasing a Bellicon. Q: 44" or 49"? I am 5'5" tall, and at first, I thought the 49" would be a good idea - now I'm thinking the 44" will suffice. Once I am "on board" with it, I want to begin HIIT exercise sequences with it. Thanks in advance.

Im in Ausrtralia and spoke to Auth Agent who recommended I get strong bands for more variety of workouts (my weight on the chart recommends medium) I do health bounce daily but also enjoy more intense workouts. I was going to get the 49" with foldable legs as is stored against a wall in living area Space is tight). Any advise you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

      Hello Donna, thank you for the compliment!
      My wife falls right in the middle of the 'medium' bungee recommendation, I fall in the 'strong' category. When we tested out the different ones at Bellicon in Chicago we noticed the bounce on the 49" 'strong' was softer than the 'strong' on the smaller sizes. She was just fine and happy going with the 'strong' on the 49", then later when she bought a 44", she was sure to get 'medium'.
      Thats a long way of saying, if you get the 49", the strong is great. If you get the 44", the medium would be great.
      I hope this helps:)
      I wish you so much health and fun Donna!

    Just curious... Do you and your wife still use the Bar? I've been told people often out grow the bar and ultimately prefer to use their Bellicon without it. My Sister has the Premium model in Stainless Steel and she totally sold the artist in me on the beautiful high-end construction and precision welding shown in the Stainless. So I'm crushed to find out despite Bellicon's advertising being all about customization, for some reason they will not make a Premium Plus model (Stainless Steel Bellicon with a T-bar). I contacted them to see if they would let me custom order it and they said they couldn't do it because the bracket that holds the T-bar would have to be welded into the frame. That makes no sense to me though because clearly the leg brackets are welded. I could always take it to a steel shop and just have a T-bar and bracket retrofitted, but I'm not sure it is worth it. I know i should just get the Black Plus model but it just isnt the same. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help

      Hi Julia, thanks for the question!
      I have found that the bar is very helpful for support if you just had surgery or if you are older and want the security. (ex. my aunt just had a hip replacement and uses it the whole time) It is great if you do high intensity workouts with the instructors on Bellicon Home. (ex.HIIT)
      It is not that helpful for casual, fun and light exercise bouncing. So most of the time we do not use it.
      The premium does look very nice and looks very clean.
      I would not recommend welding anything and compromising the design.
