Russia basically still has zero Air Force having been forced to launch from great distances glide bombs and the like. In the meantime Ukraine continues to build an absolutely lethal Air Force that operates inside Ukraine and has proven an ability to strike anywhere in Western Russia that they want at any time and with incredible accuracy. Sending in an Aircraft designed for work off of an aircraft carrier which to my knowledge Argentina never had the latter...if this report be true and not part of a disinformation campaign as there is no source noted in the report...but again if true this is a very robust built is used as land based...and a fairly straightforward single engine design delta wing. Definitely made to carry an advanced payload and has shown effectiveness in the past too absolutely. Still standing up F-16 work for all of Eastern Europe remains a game changer as indeed there are so many of them and still an in production Air frame engine load out etc. "By the book" this will be the combat debut of the F-16 as well so certainly Lockheed Martin has an interest in seeing great success...as do all those who employ the F-16 in their work. Great Britain and Germany have Tornado Fighter Bombers as well...an even more proven platform for war fighting and certainly more proven than anything all of Russia has although #irony in the hands of Ukraine near all former USSR equipment has proven incredibly effective actually. If this "Jerry Rigged" approach continues to work as so far has been beyond belief true then next up after this would be combat helicopters for Ukraine and the rest of Eastern Europe. US Vietnam War Era equipment has proven itself very well in this conflict two Years running now but of course the UH-1 Iroquois still has yet to make an appearance...and that has a "Viper" variant just like the F-16 as well/too.

    Well...
The last version in service in France (the SEM, retired in 2016) is not comparable to Falkland War-era Super-Etendards.
It received an extensive suite of upgrades in the 90's and 2000's, with a much improved radar (doubled range and improved capabilities), updated cockpit (HOTAS, MFD), upgraded NAV, modern ECM, and compatibility with the DAMOCLES targeting pod. Nothing to sneeze at.
It seems that Argentina bought 5 of those in 2017 (delivered in 2019), but could not use them, due to British embargo on ejection seat components. Could these be the ones concerned?
And in a context where they would receive cover from late F-16 blocks and/or Mirage 2000-5, there are definitely reasons to increase the Russian Navy's pucker factor.

At the moment the only aircraft the Ukrainians have capable of that is the Sukhoi Su-24 . 5 Super Etandards are unlikely to win the war on their own but I could see Ukraine using them to pull off a serious blow to Russia. With only five aircraft, they would have limited if any utility on the land battlefield, apart from launching stand-off missiles, probably against fixed targets. But, such a limited number of aircraft could be very useful in extending the range of Ukraine's strike capability in the Black Sea. But would they still use Exocets, or a different anti-ship missile? 🤔

Iraq had leased the super etender and did not acquire, it was merely a temporary arrangement until the full arrival of the mirage F1 F1EQ-5 aircraft: capable of launching AM39 missiles...
the aircraft is slow and poorly manoeuvrable, with a very limited combat useful payload and a low service ceiling, and therefore will constitute very easy air targets for Russian air defense systems deployed along the western coast of the Crimean Peninsula, supported with air superiority aircrafts like su35 and the fast interceptor MiG-31...
Its slight preference is divided between:
1- the aircraft is considered a specialized in anti ships combat roles, but with avionics and the radar systems dating back to the Cold War era and therefore very obsolete to give a stand-off engagement capabilities, and I doubt its radars capable of firing the latest blocks of the AM39...
2- Having the ability to fly at low altitudes or skimming the sea...
In anti-ship combat duties and roles in the Black Sea, the Ukrainian advantage lies in suicidal naval drones and not in anti-ship missiles ASMs, which still offer very low percentage successful rates...

Everybody is kinda of trashing the super etendard right now. But you have to consider that Ukraine doesn’t have an infinite amount of Soviet aircraft. It’s entirely possible they have more pilots than planes right now. And as Soviet planes continue decrease in number, these could be used as a backup. Ukraine doesn’t have to necessarily use them, they could serve as a political bargaining chip to get other countries to donate there aircraft. Plus it’s easier to maintain a fleet of 5 aircraft versus 80. Further more the su-25’s Ukraine uses aren’t any better then the etendards.

Argentina bought 5, freshly retired, latest models from France in 2017, and you seem to forget its precision ammunition capability when using the DAMOCLES pod...
It's a pretty competent attack aircraft on its own.
As far as spare parts are concerned, there are still plentiful in France, and 5 aircrafts may not be such an enormous logistical burden to sustain (especially when you consider those Argentinian aircrafts are still virtually "in the wrapper" as they could not use them due to lack of ejector seat parts ( the seats are British Martin-Baker, and a British embargo blocked them from acquiring ejector charges. Silly isn't it?), and came with 10 spare engines...

      Well... yes, BUT:
-Ukrainian pilots (and I guess mechanics) are already in training in France... Pilots are not starting on Mirage 2000 right away, and do follow standard French cursus. Diverting some of these folks to SEM is not as difficult as one may imagine.
-Mirage 2000-5 is an air superiority (or air defence, as you prefer) fighter. In France, their pilots are the best of the best, and train enormously. I cannot imagine Ukrainian pilots receiving degraded training for it, it's a question of national prestige. On the other hand, while very involved too, making a non-naval, SEM pilot for anti-ship and ground strikes is probably much less time and resource-demanding.
-"five obsolete airframes" we are not talking about Falkland war era planes here. These planes are 5 former French Navy aircrafts of the latest update (mid-2000s), with very capable avionics and ECM. Much more survivable in a modern battlefield than the soviet-era SU-25 the ukrainians operate.

This is false news. The Argentine government has categorically denied it and there are insurmountable technical problems that would prevent this operation from taking place: they are aircraft that have not been flying since 2011, that are on the verge of reaching their life cycle, that have little stock of spare parts (in France and in Argentina) and that do not have updates because they are decommissioned. Argentina collaborates with Ukraine by sending humanitarian aid, but not weapons, it is already in a process of rearmament. This fake news comes from certain Argentinean media trying to discredit the government, in revenge for the budget cuts in the State Communication Department. Four months ago, those same media invented that Argentina gave two Mil Mi-117E helicopters to Ukraine... which caused an unnecessary diplomatic conflict with Russia.
