- The South African union threepence was minted from 1923 until 1960. Hidden amongst the millions minted may hide the most elusive and infamous 1931 threepence. There are few numismatists that do not check every tickey in the hope that one day... maybe one day... one will pop up.
In this video, all the coins are covered from 1923 until 1960. Estimates on their values are given, including Extra Fine (or Extremely Fine), About Uncirculated, Uncirculated, and MS-graded coins. Some of the values do vary wildly, so the values might actually be higher.
The first coin fair in Bloemfontein will be held at Windmill Casino on the 6th of May 2023. Please make an effort to attend! Entrance is free!

Not that I know of. The most highly acclaimed remains the US based NGC and PCGS.

I have several videos on the topic explaining it in detail. Have a look. If your 3D is in UNC you can expect R1000 or more. If it has any wear, the value drops sharply.
Is the money from selling the coins taxable income by the bank?

I just got a 1941 3D ...I got it in a world coin bag with a hole bunch of coins for 3 dollars canada...is it worth anything???
That's very cool. It really depends on quality, but anything from R10 to around R200, depending on quality. The Canadian dollar is now around R13.18. So, not that much, but still interesting, right?

I have a 1941, found it on a farm in the field near water covered in cow poop🤫🤫🤣🤣but a little rubbing between the fingers I saw wat it was. It was very dirty, I thought it was a half a sent because it was so brown and dirty, but its kinda clean, silver...
It's so special when you find coins like that. These are often so damaged that they do not have much numismatic value, but I keep coins I find like this as it is special to find them in the wild. I've never found a tickey though. You are VERY lucky!
