Thank you for including trigger warnings! I've been hesitant to continue with this author because even though I really enjoyed Birthday Girl, I DESPISED Corrupt so much I almost can't get past it. I like dark content and taboo pairings, but I don't like reading about a character being physically and emotionally tortured by her love interest. Call me prude but when the "hero" burns down the heroine's house on purpose and it's about the 3rd the worst thing he does to her... I don't really care how hot the sex scenes are. But I'm going to try Punk 57, because you have great recommendations, so thank you for this video as always!

If you’re into really dark content, I would really recommend Kill Switch which is the third installment of the Devil’s Night series. Although it is probably the darkest one out of the three, it doesn’t deal with abuse in terms of the main characters’ romantic relationship. There really is very little, if any, physical and/or emotional abuse between the two characters. The dark content mainly stems from the hero’s traumatic childhood past and lemme tell you... it’s ducking messed up. But I think it does a great job of explaining his violent tendencies. So if you’re okay with that type of dark content, I’d recommend Kill Switch. Definitely was my favorite book out of the series.

Just ordered credence yesterday; cannot wait to read this book. I read almost every book of penelope douglas and love her writing. I think my alltime favorite will always be birthday girl 😀 I love the taboo topics she chooses because finally it is something different than those regular rom com books. And her writing style is amazing; it's neither boring nor cheesy. A lot of authors cannot really write good steamy scences that aren't totally cringeworthy, but she can (at least what I have read so far)

Adding all to my TBR. I had started Punk 57, but once since the first chapter I could not continue because it mad me emotional, and I just wasn't ready for it.
I started off with listening to Birthday Girl on Audible, and I do agree that it is a slow burn but I actually don’t mind that for this story as I got to connect more with the characters and got more sold on their development. Currently on Tryst Six Venom and I can really feel the emotional dependency that the main characters have for each other.
I didn't care for Bully or Corrupt, but I loved Birthday Girl, Punk 57, and Credence. I love her evolution as an author, she just keeps improving with every release. Christina Lauren's Beautiful and Wild Seasons series were super steamy, I actually prefer those to their newer releases. Beautiful Player is incredible, Will is perfection.

Punk 57 is the first book that I've read of Pen's and I really enjoyed it. I went into not knowing it was a dark romance, so I was kind of thrown off in the beginning. However, once I found out it made a lot more sense and I ended up giving it 4 stars! You're part of the reason why I read it, so thank you! :) lol I also plan on reading Birthday Girl very soon!
Actually Penelope released an other book after Bully, it's called Until You and tells the same story from Jared's prospective. You may not like jared in bully but once you read until you, I am sure you will definitely like him. And then after Aflame, there is Next to Never which tells us about Jared, Madoc and Jaxon's younger sister Quinn. Actually if you want the paperback, Aflame and Next to Never are printed in a single book which is The Next Flame

I'm new to Penelope Douglas. The reason I gave her books a shot is that I absolutely love Abby Craden and her very sensual voice. So I did a search for books narrated by her that are in the audible escape library. All of the Fall Away books are there, so that is where I started. My first Penelope Douglas book is Credence and it was right up my ally!!! I am really looking forward to her other books because the book really sucked my into her world. I also have Punk 57, but I was more so looking for more of an age gap book and taboo...but I 'll still give it shot because you can't go wrong with Penelope Douglas.

I don't read books. I read mangas. I find them easier to read. I do enjoy channels that talk about books and different stories. I tried punk 57 as the first book that I read without being assigned to. and as you said, I love it. I can't believe how quicly I read it without getting bored. I'll certainly check out some other ones. thanks for your recommendations ❤

Ahhh I’m so excited to watch this video! Punk 57 is like one of my favorite books but I haven’t read anything else by her!!
My first Penelope Douglas book is Credence and it was right up my ally!!! I am really looking forward to her other books because the book really sucked my into her world. I also have Punk 57, but I was more so looking for more of an age gap book and taboo...but I 'll still give it shot because you can't go wrong with Penelope Douglas.
