@@jordangraf673 Apparently UA-cam announced they were going to penalize people for showing how to screw on a suppressor. It seems stupid, yes, and believe it or not they changed the policy...but in the meantime people have made videos complying...
I wish we could all dump UA-cam and move to a gun friendly platform, but the only one I know of you had to be invited to. So basically unless you were a big name in UA-cam you couldn't make videos on it, which left people like me out.
The shape of the back end of the receiver and the furniture, reminds me of the BAR. One of my favorite WW2 weapons the Navy was still using during my hitch 1963 - 1967, While serving on Essex class carriers. Looking back, it seemed odd that we were armed with these vintage weapons and nukes!
My boys air rifles are 3kg, in the UK imperial measurements, its 2.2lb to a kilogram. That's a real nice little rifle, lot of appreciation from over here in the UK.
I believe Henry will sell a lot of these, with it's looks they will probably appeal to older generations and since it's a pistol caliber rifle that's threaded it's appealing to people who normally don't look at Henry's.
UA-cam keeps shooting itself in the foot ( opps...i said Shooting...Oh NO ! ). They must be a bunch of butch girls / panty-waisted soy boys. Sad, pathetic . . .
Cool gun and I wish Henry luck with it but I’ve already got a Camp Carbine and PC Carbine. However, if they came out with an 18” barreled, slide-action .357/.38 with a full length mag tube and a side loading gate, I’d be all over that!
Beautiful little carbine rifle, I thought it was a bit heavy when I held one at the Sportsman show in PA a few weeks ago. A few folks around me thought the same thing.
To bad they didn’t put the rear peep sight where it belongs, as close to the rear of the receiver as possible and close to the eye. I like the safety and the location of it.
This would be great up here in Canada with a minor adjustment to the barrel length. We are capped out at 5 rounds (unless you use a 10 round pistol mag... unless the killed that loophole in the last gun ban). No longer allowed to have AR-15 rifles so this would be a good carbine gun that looks less "scary."
Ruger has had their PC Carbine out for some years now. They have magwells for Glock as well as their own magazines. There may be others, I am not sure.
Nice looking and clearly fun gun. The question is will it sell well at ~$900 plus tax. I’m not sure, but as it clearly has a big margin over its production cost so Henry don’t need to sell a ton to make good money.
with the equivalent model pc carbine MSRP at $120 less and its takedown and it has rails on top of the receiver and on the bottom of the fore end I see this being a tough sell unless someone REALLY wants that walnut furniture instead of polymer. Also the magazine it comes with can be used in a ruger security 9 not just the pc carbine.
This reminds so very much of my early 90's (pre-Clinton assault weapons ban) Marlin Camp 9. It accepted all S&W 9mm mags of that era and 30-shot mags are still available for this rifle. The safety on the Henry is much easier to work with IMO. I still have that Marlin Camp 9 and the S&W 915 pistol to this day.
More modularity with the PC-Carbine though. You don't need any weird scope rails because it's integral to the receiver and if you get the right model it has an mlok handguard to mount whatever you want. I have a streamlight and am arisaka foregrip on mine. I get that Henry wants to stay more traditional and that's fine for them, but out wouldn't be a bad idea for them to take a hint from Ruger and maybe as some updated furniture so you can mount stuff to it.
@@zachaliles Old man Bill Ruger was kind of a traditionalist. But after his passing, the company quit being so Fudd-like and rapidly diversified. And that turned out to be a very profitable move.
So, it’s a more expensive version of the Ruger PC 9, except it isn’t take-down, and doesn’t come with a rail. I mean, it looks nice, but, it’s already been done.
MSRP, 959.00$ A quality semi loader is not cheap. But here's the big plus. I heard it takes glock mags, if that's the case? You can have a matched pair, that takes the same ammo and mags. If they make a 10mm that can handle hard cast ammo. I'm getting one. Still have my eye on the new all weather side gated 45-70 gov.
Really good looking rifle! Only problem is i picked up a Ruger PC 9 a few months before this came out! Though I really don't think it's a problem at all, if this is as nice, and it certainly is prettier, than the PC9, I may pick one up when more are available anyway. Pistol caliber carbines are great.
2nd for a lever, but I like it. Bolt hold open is like the Ruger 10/22, and I have both Glock and S&W mags. Glocks we’re for a JR 9mm. Then they came out w/ the S&W mag well. Dilemma only on the mag well, not the gun
Nice to see this gun working with the Glock mags. Another review was using the Henry mags & was getting multiple jams. All the shoots were on target, though.
Glad to see this is not a takedown model. Always disliked that about the Ruger for some reason. Like others have mentioned, hope a .45 comes out sooner rather than later, then I'm in!
I love hearing the sound of a suppressed 9mm rifle with subsonic ammo! To me, it doesn't sound much different than a .22LR rifle with standard velocity ammo.
Fantastic reviews, you always do a concise, informative job. We watched your video in class on a .22 skipping on water. This'll be a fun plinker, I'd stay with the Henry mag standard rifle. I love the traditional look.
This may actually be possible aftermarket. XD is center-locking and although that is supported in Ruger PCC, it requires a state of the art materials and manufacturing in order to create the latch rocker for a center-locking magazine. But Henry's magwell is far more forgiving and we may whip something out. But no promises.
I’m interested in the 9mm but I know there are folks out there who will hold out for the 45 ACP version (with optional 1911 mag well). I feel sure it’s coming too.
I saw another video on this gun earlier. His would not hold the mags correctly, would not eject the cartridges correctly and would jam every third or fourth shot. From what you explained I. This video, he got a different Magholder and was using the Henry mags.
Seems like a nice addition to the Henry line of quality firearms. If they offer it in 45 ACP, I would buy. The listed MSRP is about $929. Is the receiver steel or aluminum?
I'm surprised they didn't thread it 5/8x24 like the Big Boy X. That's my biggest complaint with that gun. I have to use an adapter to use my suppressor on it.
Reminds me of the marlin camp 9, hopefully Henry releases a 45 acp and 10mm models 🤤
10mm would be awesome
10mm and take my money.
45acp!!! Would be awesome suppressed and glock mags with Kriss vector extension
Suppressed .45ACP would be amazing, should be a very moderate report being subsonic already
45ACP with a 1911 and Glock mag adapter please and thank you!
Sweet addition to the Henry line... very nice and well thought out versatility...
Awesome! Looks like Henry hit another homerun with the Homesteader! Good on them
Holy hell, a guy that actually includes his misses in his videos as well! Much more relatable!
It's sad that the day has come that you have to blur out retightening the suppressor to keep UA-cam from giving you a strike. Good video as always.
Sad indeed.
Why did he have to blur it? What’s the reasoning behind it?

Definite plus as far as design - a PCC that can actually use the same mags as your pistols.
