A Lover’s Song has been rendered on the Sarangi by Ustad Sultan Khan. Ustad Sultan Khan, who traces his roots to Jodhpur, learned the sarangi from his father Ustad Gulab Khan. He has been a master player of this challenging instrument and has established his virtuosity. He has been one of the greatest sarangi players of the last century, was the son and student of Gulab Khan of Jodhpur, originally from Sikar in Northern Rajasthan. Sultan Khan also learned from his uncle, the famous sarangi player, Azim Khan. His style owed a lot to the gayaki of Ustad Amir Khan. He has earned a lot of accolades that have come in the form of various awards, including Sangeet Natak Akademi and many more.
