my grand father was the seanachai in the village of Glenisland in county Mayo......he was very funny and loved by all....He loved his donkey and if it was lashing, he would bring the donkey into the house........it ate nothing but honey and oats.....when he died all said if there is a hear after, they all wanted to come back as Sean Ryan's ass because it was the best kept ass in Ireland. lashing means raining cat's and dog's
Sad indeed that they turned from the storyteller to the radio. My Dad was a great storyteller. Most 20 stories high 😂 and he could take in anyone. Thanks for the upload listening.
"a Munn-kee"! baaaaaaa! Oh I needed this today - Mercy it's too perfect - ...and I understand it quite clearly - and being the USA Irish Girlie, I am! 🍸 💚🍀💚 Oh, I'm sharing with my Irish g-friends - a McCleran and MacElhaney ! Me? Oh a Murphy-and-Lynch 🍀🍀🍀
Why do some of the screen printed words have so little to do with what he's saying, swap "moon key" with monkey for a start. This has been happening for a long time on tv subtitles and apparently some of it is because the people who are typing are watching the show at the same time for the first time. This is one of the few explanations that make sense.
Marvelous. Thank you so much for this little treasure.
Fantastic, I never tire of listening.
I could listen ALL day!
A treasure for sure, 💚☘🕊 Who is the one soul who does not like the story, of the story teller 😏 My da was a great story teller

The subtitles are automatically generated by computer algorithm. They are not calibrated against an Irishman, let alone one from the Kerry moointins.
👍
