I have an iPhone 15 pro and I decided to buy the nothing phone because of the design. I loved this phone! I practically only use my iPhone to take pics now.
"To fully understand the iPhone, I have to dive into Android" You gained my respect with that statement, brother. I think I understand your nitpicks with the app designs. Like many apps are having wildly different design languages, and it'll be really tough to do your work as fast as you would want to. BTW, that shot really was epic!!
Thanks for your comment! Glad you resonated with my statement. Navigating different app designs can be challenging, impacting productivity. Thrilled you enjoyed the shot!
"lack of graphical consistency", said the apple fanboy with the phone with icons sporting inconsistent colors and non customizable system. While android users enjoys material you color consistency on the icons and the entire system menu. Also we don't like our apps to be like on iOS restricted and monopolized and cash grabbing.
Just bought Nothing Phone 2A and using Iphone 13 too , i Really hate its BGMI Gaming , Tall Screen Aspect Ratio and PPI , But other than that Phone is Cool.
Nice video, mate. Commenting from Nothing Phone 1. I am glad to see how Nothing changed their design approach dominated by the glyph lighting in phone 1 to a minimum in 2a. While design is subjective, I do like their approach. I hope they continue to work on improving their user experience in this mundane market. I also liked your style of presentation for the video.
4:45 hi im using the np2a, and theres an icon pack made by nothing that can be installed on the playstore and when you apply it, it essentially forces any app to have the black and white theme. Nice video.
Oh mate. I was waiting for this review so bad. It's glad to see you picking up an android, when you made loyal fanboys switch to the iPhone. P.S Superb B-rolls and device shots.
I am waiting for this guy to try Google pixel which is original pure android without any bug few levels above nothing. People would have heard about apple environment but have they heard about samsung experience🤔.
Nothing phone 2 is faster than iPhone in practical world even tho apple is way more powerful on paper. However, if one wants to do videography, choose iphone, it's another league.
awesome video, thanks for the review, you are very cool, and so is your voice ❤ please tell me if there were any lags or problems in 2a? I'm just thinking about buying it
Yes, it's true! It's difficult at the moment to buy all the flagships by myself. That's why I opted for the Nothing Phone. Anyway, I'm not comparing these two devices, but only the software, to understand and find differences between iOS and Android.
The review is very good, but i understood that you don't know how to use an Android 😅 There is a so much stuff on Android you can do than iPhone Literally Android is for tech Nerds...
I'm glad you found the review interesting. I understand that it might seem like I don't fully grasp Android based on the video, but I want to assure you that I'm still exploring the various features of the operating system. This video is just a first look, and in the final review, I'll have the opportunity to delve deeper into the differences and strengths of Android compared to iPhone. I'm sure there are many amazing things that Android has to offer for tech enthusiasts like yourself, and I look forward to exploring them further. Thanks again for your feedback!
You were the only video in a very long time who spoke about the inconsistency of how android works. Yes I'm saying that coming from being an android user for 7yrs and it's for 2. Now rocking a s23 and prior a pixel 6 pro, I missed the material themeing to well effectively sometimes. The lockscreen animations I loved there didn't exist here. I'm not saying they are bad but sometimes the keyboard doesn't sync right to the colors. So I am with you on this. I'm happy to say what you pointed out is very good and loved your quality. Keep it going. New sub to you from now
Thank you so much for your detailed comment! I’m glad you found my video helpful and enjoyed the quality. I always try to focus on the real experience of a smartphone, and I think, especially in our days where smartphones are almost equal, these details matter, and brands should invest more in the software because that's where they can make the difference.
It does not make any sense to switch from a flagship (15 pro) to a medium range. At least you should had switched to a pixel 8 pro or a Samsung 24 Ultra. Nothing brand is not the equivalent of iphone for android, far from it.
At the moment, I buy everything by myself, so it would be hard to buy lots of smartphones. I try to invest only in products I genuinely appreciate and where I see value for the future. Anyway, we can ask directly @NothingTechnology. 😅
As someone who switches around here and there often between the two motherships, I too get off-put by the lack of cohesiveness over on the Android side. But all's not well on the other side either, often. Cus I mean I'd rather deal with that type of inconsistency personally than be bugged by the dynamically inconsistent handling of the "back" button/task/toggle over in iOS land. That, and the weird foot-down stance on T9 dialing and other "expected" gap-bridgers make being on either side be their own flavor of bothersome.
Absolutely, I completely agree! Both Android and iOS have their strengths and weaknesses. While Android may lack cohesiveness at times, iOS has its own inconsistencies, especially with the handling of the ‘back’ button. It’s all about finding the platform that best suits your needs and preferences.
Nice video but I don't see any reason why an android app should look the same as an iPhone app just because you use an iPhone. You will get acclimatized once you use it for sometime
Maybe I explained it wrong! I didn't mean to say Android and iOS should be the same. The point I was trying to make is that, in general, Android apps don't adhere to any kind of guidelines, so everything is more left to the developers of each individual app. This results in a less cohesive and coherent experience throughout the system. Anyway, this is something I noticed coming from iPhone because I believe there are more guidelines on iOS that app developers have to follow. Thanks for the feedback!
I purchased this phone myself and genuinely created a review because I'm passionate about tech stuff, not just Apple products. I invest my money in items I believe are worth discussing. Additionally, I've posted the purchase invoice on X. Regardless, even if Nothing had sent me the phone, I would never provide false information but only my honest experience with it :)
Thank you all for the amazing support! Final review is now live - ua-cam.com/video/HiOosYNSpv8/v-deo.html

and i also have bought the 2a yesterday, and im very impressed so far!
But you are 100 percent right with the design language!!

8GB!
