    Mam, I was taught to use simple present tense for day-to-day activities. Here in the second sentence "Every morning, he went for a walk" why did you use the past tense though it is a routine? Am I correct? or what mam? Please explain to me and also check grammar and punctuation.

    • @EnglishwithVennila
      @EnglishwithVennila  5 років тому +1

      Good question. It is nothing but a past routine. It means he went for a walk in the past.
      You can put a comma after 'here'.
      Please watch this video on the Simple past tense.

    When will use neither...?

    • @EnglishwithVennila
      @EnglishwithVennila  5 років тому +2

      We can use 'neither' to mean something negative.
      Neither = not + either
      She is not busy. Neither am I. ( It means -- I am not busy either.)
      He doesn't read the newspaper. Neither do I. ( I don't read it either.)
      With 'nor', it can be used as a paired conjunction.
      I like neither coffee nor tea.

      The answer is (d) sweet are.

      The uses of adversity are sweet.
      The uses of adversity -- subject
      are sweet -- predicate
