Hi Greg, When I create a group form in one particular group with 'Upload File', I get an error 'We weren't able to create an upload file folder in OneDrive for Business. If you see this message repeatedly, contact your administrator.' though the forms should create the folder in SharePoint. Did you know about this error.? If this could be because of permission, what should be the right permission in the SharePoint?
Sorry, never saw this error message before. Suggest you contact MSFT support
So being you can’t have a group assigned to a a Hub site that is also a Home site as these need to be a communication site. You simply need to create a new group (which also create a Sharepoint even if it’s not needed) to be able to have a group where you can create group forms?
I don't understand the connection between group forms and Home Site.
@@SharePointMaven because a hub site that is also a home site needs to be a communication site and as a result can’t have a group connected to that site type of site?
So this would mean if you want to make a group creating for members of staff for the whole organisation you could not used the home page site or hub site, you would need to make a group which would automatically create a new team and a new site?

@@SharePointMaventhank you
Hi Greg, I need to set up a Forms For Excel file in SharePoint but the option is not available. When I click on "New" in the Documents Library I can see the usual buttons (Word, Excel, etc) but not Forms For Excel. When I try to edit the menu I can see the button and it's enabled but it's not displayed on the menu. My SharePoint site is a teams site, not a communication site. Any idea what might be going on?
This is strange. Hard for me to say without seeing the setup. Should be available....
@@SharePointMaven How would be best to connect with you?
@@MichaelThoreson-v5m For this issue, I suggest you contact MSFT support. I do provide consulting as well, but this issue seems like a MSFT issue.
Hi Greg, great video! Is it possible to create questionnaire that includes an attachment I upload that users can reference that are filling out the questionnaire? So far, I've only been able to find examples where the users can upload an attachment, such as their resume in your example.
I do not understand the question
I'm trying to use forms to create simple yes/no confirmation questionnaire. Is it possible to upload a file with the questionnaire that users can reference? I'm trying to use this for recertification purposes so they would certify "yes" and the list would be present as part of their attestation. It wouldn't be something they upload though, it would already be uploaded. Is that possible to do in forms, create a questionnaire with a file they can reference? @@SharePointMaven
@@TheMachinesWon I am not aware of this, I believe it needs to be custom built.
Ok, thanks for the reply!@@SharePointMaven
How do I attach a file to form such that everyone that receives the attached file can give or write their opinion to the file (and that all the given opinions are concentrated in one place)? I don’t want that everyone attaches a file, but only me (the one that created the form)?
This functionality does not exist.
Hi Greg, great video, if the person completing the form isn’t a member of the group, does the attachment still go to the group Sharepoint site? ( even though they don’t have permissions in the group)
Hi Nic, yes, it does. You don't need to be a member of the group to be able to complete a form.
tnx
You are welcome
Hi, I don't see the group tab in my Forms. Is this an upcoming option or do I need to turn it one tenant wide?
No, it has been there for a while. MSFT changed the user interface slightly since I recorded the video. You can now see the group forms appearing at the bottom of the page versus a separate tab as in the video
@@SharePointMaven OK, now I see it; I just don't have the 'move' option.
Good tip, thank you!
@@barteczekz You welcome. You need to be a member of the group to move there
