You just tie both ends together with the excess yarn on each side. That's the way a traditional friendship bracelet is tied. You could always add clasps and jump rings if you want :)
There are many names that people give the bracelets. I just named them according to the knots and how they look. If you do find my tutorial confusing, you can always replay it. I tried my best to demonstrate and explain.
It is a little hard to explain, so that's why I did close ups demonstrating the steps. Just take your time with it, it gets a little complicated for me as well. But it's a fun hobby to try out :).
these are very useful to me i love making bracelets but dont have the time thankfully you have reminded and shown me new ways to make bracelets so i can make them and take them with me where ever i go!!!! thank you soo much and please make more videos!!!!! thankyou!!!
Thanks so much! Been contemplating on opening a little shop since my sister and I love making bracelets and I've gotten a lot of requests to sell some.
hey thanks that was really fun, I used the square knot type with 7 colors( 2 of each color so 14 threads) and alternated to make a rainbow bracelet, turned out perfect, thanks so much :):):):):)
It's best to use embroidery thread because it will knot better. Yarn is a bit thicker and won't knot as easily. But you could give it a try and see if you like the look of it!
I explain it in the video to make the complete knot on the remaining cords to your right. I had to cut out the footage of me completing an entire set because it was out of focus. But I do explain it.
Make sure the middle string is held taut, and you knot the string all at an even pressure :). It takes practice, but once you've made a few it turns out better.
The first one I made did not spiral around the whole bracelet. I must have pulled it strange, despite my mistake the others came out beautiful. Thanks for the tutorial, and a new hobby. :)
I did the square knot bracelet and it came out great! I recommend using a thicker string for this type of bracelet though. Overall great video, thanks!
awesome ideas!!!!! i remember back in school making those designs with plastic and using as keychains!...seems like it'll make very cute bohimean headbands ^_^
You may be pulling too hard. Try to tug each knot at an even pressure so it's consistent. And if it "twists", when you pull the square knot place your finger flat on the knot so it stays flat. :)
I luv 2 make these. I really don't get y so many people don't like this, but I luv it. I know another way 2 make the first one, but I never knew it found be made like that. Thanx!
You can use yarn , or braiding cord for anyone wondering , it will just come out a bit thicker :) embroidery floss looks better though, just an opinion from me
I have recently got into making bracelets I can now do all 3 of what you shown in your video and the Arrow look one :) So easy to do once you have the hang of! Good tutorial video too x
Are you sure you're doing the square knot? I know the spiral normally happens if you do only one side of the knot, (ie. only making a "p" with the right strand or only making a "4" with the left strand). Square knots are hard to keep track of, so it's normal for that to happen.
Because it's so simple they don't need to show it in the video. It's literally a single knot. It's just tying the strings together at the top! I can't even explain it
i learned this in five mins. now i can’t stop making anklets.
Awesome!
When I was like ten I used to do these all the time I'm 13 rn and I forgot and this video was sooooooo helpful thanks so much !!!
Why age ristricted????
Cool
Thank you! I wanted my DIYs to be short and to the point, easy to follow and fun to watch :)

So cute! I really love that first one - very delicate and sweet. These would layer up so well. Thanks for a great tutorial that's easy to follow.
Tie a knot to end the weave. You can leave extra cord on each end so they can be tied or knot enclosures at each end (ex: clasp and jump ring).

i LOVE this esp the 3rd one. and everyone can do this. the materias are easy to find anywhere!

It's simply doing overhand knots which was the first knot demonstrated in the video.

I used wool on mine and it turned out great !!! :)
awesome ideas!!!!! i remember back in school making those designs with plastic and using as keychains!...seems like it'll make very cute bohimean headbands ^_^

This was so helpful! I tried the diagonal one and was able to do it on my first try! Thank you!

In my opinion, it's the easiest out of the three

Love the last 1 soo cute thanks
I like the Chinese staircase one-it looks really awesome, especially when it's made with variegated embroidery thread. :)
You can use yarn , or braiding cord for anyone wondering , it will just come out a bit thicker :) embroidery floss looks better though, just an opinion from me
Amazing I did the 2nd one and it's a spiral
i finished my first overhand knot bracelet thanks to you :D
this video was really helpful ^^

Thank you so much! I just made an anklet and a bracelet and they turned out awesome.
I have recently got into making bracelets I can now do all 3 of what you shown in your video and the Arrow look one :) So easy to do once you have the hang of! Good tutorial video too x
Thank you very much for your tutorial!!! Very useful and you explain perfectly the steps!!!

Thank you
Best video by far
i did and it worked just fine! my friend loves them!

Of course! :)
Ahhh I used to make these all the time when I was younger!! Love making them :D Thanx for reminding me how to do it :D
Thanks awesome tutorial the easiest I found!
thankyou 4 the great idea!
Or it's the other way around lol. I don't say "cobra" because it's just not how I see it, I always grew up learning it as a square knot. :)

Easy... thanks for the nice tutorial.

When i tried the "square" knot I started to look like a spiral! Idk what I did but I alive it!
Thanks!You really helped alot!:D
It is very easy and nice
How come almost every vid never shows that first knot BEFORE they tape it to a table. That knot is the one thing i need help with sadly.
Because it's so simple they don't need to show it in the video. It's literally a single knot. It's just tying the strings together at the top! I can't even explain it
It's just a simple knot!
Lia Smith i agree
Lia Smith
It's just a knot. It's like when you tie your shoe, its the first knot you make. You just do the knot on itself, not with 2 strings. It's simple.
The first seems easy
why is this flagged? o.o
For the square knot , hie can I make it mor larger !? Do I duplicated the midle string , or the sides strings ! ??
