  • As Sadie puts it, Jess Connolly is your new "best friend" who is here to encourage us ALL that being a woman in 2024 is exhausting. It is! And it's easy to start wearing the "I'm tired" badge with pride - even, like Jess, thinking we're more godly because of it! - when it's probably the last thing we should be doing. Jess talks about finding herself at her publisher's office pitching a book about being tired when she was as close to complete burnout and a breakdown as she'd ever been. But through doing a deep dive on what "tired" really means - and what God meant when He said, "Come to Me all who are weary" - she discovered a wealth of knowledge about how we navigate exhaustion and WHY we're all so tired (it's not always because we need sleep!). My husband works from home a few days a week and I’ll save your podcasts to batch listen to while he is home and he over hears the conversation and weeks later says “just like How Sadie’s podcasts says…..” so it means he is retaining and listening!

I have listened to this podcast since it got to Podcast platforms, and I have to say this episode is most definitely Top 5. There is soooo much wisdom and truth, honesty and meekness in this episode. It's definitely one to go back to and listen over and over. All glory to God! Thanks for this episode, Sadie & Jess!

As a guy, I am definitely feeling fatigued. My moods changed, I am more frustrated. I also feel emotionally lost. Totally understand some of the feelings mentioned.

I have a question about body image. I struggle with hating my body and myself too at times so much, but I am actually overweight. I have lost 60 lbs but im still overweight and I just found out I'm pregnant (Which I'm ecstatic about!) But I feel like I'm not aloud to love my body or thik Good about my body because I'm still so overweight. I'm terrified of gaining alot of weight with this pregnancy but I struggle with overeating and binge eating and I feel like I am fighting a losing battle. I want to honor God with my body and be healthy and not obsess over food but I don't know how to do that. Can everyone that reads this please please pray for me to learn how to eat to honor God with my body and for the strength and discipline to do so. I guess that was more of a pouring out of my heart then a question but thank you everyone ❤
