I love this video. You did a great job showing how to install the portable air conditioner and I enjoyed your cat and how it was realistic in how it’s hard to install at that one point.
Thank you for this! I just had a terrible time with trying to secure the hose too. I gave up and used my old very loud AC. But I’m going to try again. Lots of reviews said this LG AC is very quiet so I am hopeful to get it installed!
How's it holding up after a year? Just picked this up from Home depot, thinking of getting the extended warranty as the reviews online suggest this unit is not as reliable
Thank you for watching! Window is holding one side of the panel where the hose is connected so if I open the window, it will fall off. I would say if you want to leave the door open, take the panel off for that time and put it back on when you want to close the window.
Doesn't it have to drain water/condensation out of the plug on the back with some type of hose? I had a different brand one a couple of years ago, and it had a clear hose that would drain water out as it ran. So I was wondering if this one does that too, or does it just collect inside and have to be drained daily or something, or optional maybe?
@@katrinalee428 Ok cool, thank you for the reply. It's probably the same as my old one then where it comes with a clear hose you can hook up to a plug in the back so it drains by itself, or ya just drain it every so often.
Every summer I come back to this video trying to figure out what AC I should get and every summer this video just makes me laugh. So funny. Also did it hold up? Do you still like it?
@@katrinalee428 good to know! thanks for responding! debating on getting one of these. the electricity bill might go a little higher and it might get louder but if it eventually just becomes white noise then its worth it
I got one of these a few days ago, the ac is no longer blowing cold air, checked the coils and dust build up and everything looks brand new still, any one got any ideas?
This is a really good video. The struggling part makes it more realistic than a lot of other videos.
Thank you!
Any other Vancouverites looking at the same model hoping to avoid last year's heat wave?! Thanks for the instruction!
Thank you for watching!
Just bought one over in Victoria! Today was 29! 😳
We just bought one of these and needed a little extra help. Thanks. You're video showed us what we needed to know.
Good to hear that it helped. Thank you for watching! :)

@@meredithhoulton6581 For me it wasn’t quiet enough but room gets cool so I’m ok with that. Hope your installation goes well!
This was very good to watch, l have the same one but in white. Omg the struggle is very real, you did a very good job.
Thank you so much 😅
Thanks for the struggling installation as any average joe lol.
we are looking at this one in fear of last years heat dome...
Thanks for the video, 🎉 helped us out.

It's working great but is very noisy

I bought this model today, in Montreal. Wondering, in Cool mode, does the tank need to be drained often?
I haven’t drained the tank yet and it still works fine
Hi thank you so much for the video, may I ask if the window can still be open if you want to ? For example when some days are cool?

To be honest I'm not sure about this matter. But what I remember is that it collects in some part and I should drain it every few days.

@@katrinalee428 I seeee! Thank you!
can i ask if the adhesive on the foam seal left any residue when you removed them? they probably dont stick to the surface too hard, right?
It barely left any residue. It's more like squeezing it between the window frame not sticking it.
