Recent interview question asked by Panel.....
1)source table having 1 lakh records and insert into target table,
while inserting into target table 20,000 records get inserted and then some error occurs,
now i want to rollback all 20000 records into source table ?? what is ur approach ??

Thanks a bunch for your splendid explanation.I Just have doubt if my target table has millions of records and while execution of update statement using merge , then oracle will do update for each and every records unnecessarily instead of updating few records which need to be updated in this case,so dont you think it is a overhead update for oracle which leads to hampering of performance .

Similar to insert operation which we saw in this vedio. We will assume there is error while performing update operation due to data length miss match.
How to handle exception in that case and proceed for next delete/insert operation

In Sql Server, there is a option like when not matched by source then update/delete..
I Need when not matched by source then update condition.. what is the solution for this?

I think in Oracle, when not matched then It will go for insertion of new row from source to target table based on joining key.

Almost 15 min of wasted time repeating the same explanation repeatedly and over and over was like you are training the beginners who don't understand simple English. Videos should short and quick if they are to help prep for interviews. I had two rounds of all 73 clips and spent almost 7 to 8 days. Good content but a lot of redundancies which is not required. If people do not understand your material which is the best, then they should be doing something else.
