So as far as I know the forester 5 speeds can handle close to 500 wheel they have a 4.44 gear ratio, we made 480 on ours and it held up very nicely

Ive broken 4 5 speed forester xt boxes and I just put in recently a 6 speed forester sti box 😅
I made 400whp with mine for 2 years, no issues. They're fairly strong
With shifts like that, I give his forester about two weeks until he’s back for a new transmission or 6 speed swap lol.

Reading throught the comments makes me feel a bit better about my 5MT. I have a built 2004 forester XT putting down 340 to the wheels with 350 lbs ft of torque. I do a bit if spirited driving there and there but still really cautious.
I love seeing these how-to vids on actual obtainable mods for normal broke car guys like me. 😅

Cool build! I'm currently building a 400hp+ 2004 Forester XT 5spd. Even making it E85! Built block, build heads, Blousch 18g turbo, ID 1050x top feed conversion and much much more! We will definitely have to go with a 6spd at some point

lachute performance got some pretty nice engines for subaru with more power .. the ak-series engine
Love the recipe on the forester. I got a similar setup on my bug wagon 2.0 with vf35 sti pinks sti intercooler walbro255. Is a 3 port boost solenoid worth getting ?

last time i did injectors on my legacy i just used ky lube 👍

Get rid of that Perrin foam filter ASAP, those things are trash and degrade rather quickly.

I have almost these exact parts on my 07 Forester 5 speed. Mine makes 310 on 18lbs. Been going strong for 3 years and 40k miles so far. I'm alot nicer to my trans though. lol
Hell yeah dude got an 04 making a bit over 300 just got a built sti block in with the vf48, but it’s auto haha couldn’t afford a manual when I bought it but I’m just gonna swap it later

Love it I have a 2007 Subaru Forester XT as well unfortunately it’s an automatic. I have a Grimmspeed intake, Turbo XS exhaust, getadom coolant mod, Grimmspeed up-pipe, Mishimoto radiator , Mishimoto expansion tank, Mishimoto intercooler hose kit. I’m looking forward to getting a Grimmspeed limited downpipe, Ets intercooler and header and Cobb access port. I hope you keep the Forester XT content coming!!!
same here 07 FXT 4EAT with simmilar mods.
for all 5 MT. forget luches and just be careful when you are in first and you go to second with lots of rpms. dont let the petal abruptly
this makes me miss mine.....moving here to the states and trying to locate an 06 is hell and I have given up.
I really want to go for bigger power than the current 280ish whp mine is at. But I am so nervous to push that barrier with the stock long block. But car looks great my guy.

@@jamesmoss8706 I think a down pipe, sti turbo, sti top mount and a custom tune on e85 will get you there
My 2004 XT is currently making 350 horsepower and I have no issues with my transmission at all. It's my favorite car FP Green FTW

i give it a few months to a year before ringland failure. tis what happened on my 04 fxt when jumped to the same mods. then i got an IAG stage 2 motor put in. then another year and the trans gave out on 3rd gear. ah the life of a subaru enthusiast.

Up to around 350 depending on how aggressive you drive
@@jonathanwilliams7920 define aggressive. Does once in a while spirited drives like 2 times a month count as aggressive.

I love the Forrester is there one of my favourite Subarus my mate had one that made over 1000 bhp but it did have a different engine in it but was A Subaru engine but I just love the look of them the foresters his was a white one and it had a really nice kit on a OEM body kit they looked very smart I’m not sure if it was like a WRXOSTI version I’m not sure

People sleep on tintless windows. Really cleans up the car and helps project the body lines and overall shape
