When you do the Bilstein 5100 shocks do you put on new torsion keys as well? Or do the shocks give the Yukon the lift? Also if you could actually do an install video of the shocks on a Denali? That will solve so many questions about the how to and the will it work. I’m sure tons of people would appreciate that
I did put after market torsion keys adding 3” to the front and rear spring 3” blocks from Supreme Suspensions. And no, the shocks don’t lift the vehicle, the torsion bars and keys lift the front, and the rear springs in combination with the 3” block keep your ride height. The purpose of the shock is to give you a soft ride in which your ride is not going to bounce.
Also the AWD isn’t 50/50 it’s like 60 rear 40 front. The denali is a good setup for light over landing but like you said if you need the low range the AWD kinda limits you.
I did replace torsion keys with the after market Supreme Suspension brand, and no the Bilstein 5100 shocks will not lift your front side. Since my new torsion keys lifted my 2005 Yukon, the Bilstein 5100 front and rear shocks have a much larger rod in the cylinder it is made to prevent your ride from bouncing to much or to recoil. And as for the rear, I did use the black Monroe coil over shocks from Amazon, which in turn did raise my Yukon about 1 more inch, which in reality are meant to increase your rear payload capacity, the 1 extra high inch was just icing on the cake, hope that helps.
For any off roading that 98% of us would ever do wouldnt require low range. Personally I have an 04 yukon with low range 4x4 but I wouldn't ever need it Personally because im not gonna purposely take my vehicle on any trails that are gonna potentially damage my vehicle. So I would be fine with a Denali. And would prefer it actually. But I do love my 04 Yukon
Is that a new intro? If so, I like it a lot! Also, this rig is terrific, I absolutely love this color, and the Denali looks fantastic with the lift. Have you personally done any exploring or off-roading with one of these Denalis? I'm just wondering how much one would actually miss the low range in situations that aren't rock crawling, because honestly nobody's rock crawling with one of these lol.
I drive a 2006 one of these and take it everywhere I would take my Rubicon except bouldering/rock climbing. The shorter wheelbase helps a bit over my long bed truck as some trails the truck can do where the Denali can.
We have a range of vehicles in stock but they are for our clients on the waiting list. If you are looking to purchase a SUBOVERLAND the first step is to contact us on our website and complete the deposit.
Question here! Has anyone figured out a way to open the rear glass from the inside? That would be an awesome feature to have while sleeping inside. Any help would be awesome!!

Hi Grady...do u know if there are 6 inch lift for 04 yukon denalis?..
I'm pretty sure they are available but I wouldn't suggest it.
@@suboverland why not?

As I understand you need to be lifted at least 3 inches torsion key then you can use the taller Bilsteins

They also make HD rear springs for these Tahoe/Subs/Yukon/XL

I have the 1999 yukon denali, it has hi , low 4 wheel 2 wheel , guess they changed that .
Yes they did. In 99 and 00 the Denali had a hi and low range.
Do you fasten your installs to the floor/frame, curious because I have been known to get to much air, or roll on occasion

Good points

Yes New intro! Thanks. It'll do well in most situations. Especially the more typical overland style of travel.
I drive a 2006 one of these and take it everywhere I would take my Rubicon except bouldering/rock climbing. The shorter wheelbase helps a bit over my long bed truck as some trails the truck can do where the Denali can.
Much better intro, i always had to fast forward and skip the hi pitched mumbling intro
Thanks
Do. You have any low mileage vehicles

Did you mention if you installed a lift? If so, how high?
It's about a 2" Lift
I have an 01 suburban, and I am curious as to how you mounted the winch behind the stock bumper!
Rough Country hidden winch mount
Is it stock high, how high is the lift?
Couple inches
Suspension?
Moog HD coils in rear, new Torsion keys leveled to desired height and Bilstein 5100 shocks all around.
