Are those doors the only access to that space? What happens when the cord frays and snaps one day, and then you have no way to relieve the spring tension to unlock that door?
Great idea, looks fantastic. It definitely can be easily defeated though. I'm not going to go into specifics on a public forum. I'd definitely add another type of lock... Thank you for sharing your videos 🙏
It can be. It's a hard target vs soft target mentality. It has to be hard enough where if someone is going to break into a shed, they choose to break into my neighbor's shed instead of mine. Think that I live in a low crime area though.
Your absolutely correct. No offense was intended. Btw you did a fantastic job building those doors.. just thought I'd make a comment Incase you were interested in adding additional security.. thank you Merry Christmas 🎄🎄 God bless 🙏
I'd use locking bolts on the inside of one door top and bottom and probably install a heavy duty hasp with a Mul T Lock padlock. Kering your original design in place as it's very nice. Use security screws on your hinges or bolt the hinges for security... Merry Christmas 🎄
Nice! I see the through bolt on the inside that keeps the pipes from being pulled out from the outside. What's keeping the pipes from being pushed into the shed from the outside?
2 long filler-knife blades slid into the gaps top and bottom and then pushed sideways and slightly outwards at the same time will easily pop those bolts open in seconds ;)
LOL pry that lap board going from the left door lapping right door open the right door LMFAO I bet those nails pull out pretty easy or that 3/4 inch thick pine board snaps easy open the right door walk in
Absolutely a 5:34 Great idea. All new ideas lead to improvement like connecting a solid cross bar to a strong rod that slides it.
If they take the hinges off pry it open that little center thing isn't going to stop the door from coming off.

@critical Chris great observation I suppose you could use a small cable instead but so far it hasn't been a problem.
@@jamesc.3524 I’ve seen it happen even with steel cables. But, periodic inspection goes a long ways to maintain any mechanical system.
Clever. Might want to wrap the pipe just so it looks nicer.
Love too see what people come up with solving problems..cool idea

@lizzapaolia959 don't get me wrong. I'm always interested in how to make something better if you've got ideas, feel free to mention them.

The endcap/ right angle pipe for the inner pipe and the flange for the inner pipe.
Zip ties and 550 cord? Couldn’t spring for cable and swages?
@@magicmic384 Nope 🙅♂️

All they need to do is over power the outter pipe and unthread it from the floor flange. So just need a pipe wrench to unthread everything.
