i don't understand the paletress play. it was way more safe to play the kazakus card no ? cause it "clears" the board, and you need to be really lucky with the paletress to survive
In what world is the extremely microscopic chance of getting a legendary that saves you better than both removing the enemy board AND and building your own while behind?

Al'Akir the Windlord actually would have been a probable win, as it would have dealt 6 damage to face, and Rag would have killed a minion on board, meaning the druid couldn't use the hero power to remove Divine Shield, and not enough damage would go through to face to finish Amaz. Similarly, Sogoth the Slitherer would have been enough for Trump to live, as the druid would have to waste two of his remaining three minions to kill it. Wickerlame Burnbristle would let him survive if Rag hit the 8/8 or 7/7. Ragnaros Lightlord or Bolf Ramshield would let him live if Ragnaros Firelord took out the 8/8. Mogor the Ogre, Nexus-Champion Saraad, and Mayor Noggenfogger were possible wins. More to the point, Amaz got _two_ legends, not just one, and on top of that, a random 1-cost minion from Forbidden Shaping. This opens up a lot of new possibilities. Several charge combinations allow for an instant win, like Leeroy plus Patches. And many combinations of two taunts would be sufficient. It's actually not as unlikely as you think to find an answer. But the _big_ thing you are missing is that even if Amaz got fuck all, Rag still had a 20% chance to hit face and win. That was almost certainly his most likely win, especially when you consider a weaker charge like Grom or Kragg could have wiped out one of the minions and improved the odds to 25%. Dropping the potion would have made this impossible, and left him staring down 4 1/1s and a hero power with just 8 life. The druid would have traded three 1/1s in, hit face with the other plus the hero power, and played more Jade Golems. Trump would have been in an even worse position next turn, as the Druid would have an extra armor and bigger minions, and more importantly, _Trump would no longer have Rag_. He would have been forced to go for that same play next turn anyway, but with almost all of those outs gone. His odds would have dropped from ~25% to perhaps 2%.
Minions attacking can still only be redirected to enemies. Noggenfogger works like the ogres on a 100% chance rate - minions won't ever hit each other, just *other* enemies. So Amaz basically just had 2 coin flips. There was a 25% chance that both those attacks were going to go through
