@@_sunfish Based on the rumors yes, it's probable. MS is (apparently) planning to redesign the whole Surface series for the next "run", starting this winter with the Surface Pro 8 - if Covid19 permits it that is.
So yeah, SL5 would get the same treatment in theory! But it's a year away as well and it's still just a rumor. You might wait for nothing! 🤷♀️
@@MacBamboocha The only thing stopping me for buying a Surface Laptop are those bezels. I plan on keeping the laptop that I will buy for next 5 years. But those bezels make it look like 3 years old already. I will wait until they redesign.

M1 is an ARM based chip and it can never be as powerful as an i5 or i7 M1 is just made to carry out some basic functions faster but trust me it is weak as a celeron PS im a CS student and in my college M1s arent allowed

Their ads very basic. Just product renders. They do little to advertise the actual in person usability of their products. Except their neo and duo ads and the latter half of this ad too whic are better.

I actually switched from the M1 MBA to the Surface Laptop. Fed into the M1 hype but I've always been a Windows guy at heart. These laptops offer an incredibly premium user experience and I think it's safe to say it's the best line of Windows computers on the market. Pair it with a Surface mouse and you're set.
I'm quite puzzled myself on which machine is superior... If you do have both computers, would you mind sharing which one performed the best for work? .... 😶
@@swdrnk personally, the Surface laptop works better for my workflow. I work for the Government and at work it's all Windows machines with MS Office and other Windows programs not available on MacOS. MacOS comes with Pages (their word processor), but you cannot open or save a .docx (MS word) document. And you cannot open a .pages document with anything other than the Pages application. For this reason, and a few other similar cases I found the MBA to be counter-productive. They're both incredible machines and I'm sure you'll be happy with either one. My recommendation is to go with whichever operating system you feel more comfortable in. The Surface laptop provides the same premium feel as any Apple laptop. It's also touch screen and works awesome with the Surface pen. And for the record, Windows 11 is fantastic!

Mmm , i dunno mate , i have always felt modern laptops regardless of brand are somewhat spartan in features , and their focus with making them so compact actually detracts from their usability in a lot of ways compared to some of the old heavy hamburger with the lot laptops , making the modern laptops despite their faster chipsets still somewhat uninspiring .
