I have been searching for a good shawl pattern for my variegated yarn all day. I just gave up and came to UA-cam to forget about it, stumbled on this, and had to buy the pattern! Thank you so much! I’m already getting started!
Just purchased this pattern. It’s going to be my first ever knitted lace and shawl project. So excited 😁thank you Barbara for designing this shawl/shawls. 🖖🏼
Oh my! I am so honored! If you run into any issues please do not hesitate to ask questions. My email address is on the pattern or you can come over to either Ravelry or FaceBook. In those places there are often other lovely knitters that can get to questions if I am delayed.
Love both shawls the darker one reminds me of a spider web. Great patterns, not sure of having to put things together would rather have all one piece, well will have to see. Barbara just love hearing you talk love the deeper tone so soothing and easy to !listen to. Thank you for sharing. As always love 💘 laughter and happy crafting.
You don't have to put anything together! Both shawls are knit from the top down in one piece, I was just trying to explain how they are constructed, my apologies if it was confusing. The deeper tone thing is pretty funny, I am glad you like my voice. I actually had damage to my vocal chords from excessive swelling during pregnancy and it dropped my speaking (and singing) voice a full octave.
Interesting design Barbara and looks like a good fit for some the beautiful variegated yarn in my stash. Still trying to wrap my head around how you got the lace to line up to make it look like separate triangles. Well off to buy the pattern and figure it out :)
I took your suggestion bought Every Witch Way and Confundo, taking advantage of the sale you offering currently. I will save Confundo for when I am better at knitting. I started the two panel Every Witch Way and its lovely. I am using the color way "Ice Cream" from Knit Crate (Artisan)and I can alredy see the cool pattern variation on direction coming through, very cool. Thanks again
Awesome! I saw it on Ravelry yesterday (I follow you!) and I was like wow, she snuck one in! It's really pretty, as are all of your designs. Also, I love your laugh. :)
Cashmere-alpaca-silk in the washing machine! Oh my goodness! I'm going to need extra blood pressure meds today. Did you even try to block it? I once saved a pair of alpaca fingerless gloves by pulling them gently onto my hands, slowly stretching all parts and wearing them until they were dry. I weep for your cashmere.
This pattern is written for fingering weight yarn (4 ply) so 8 ply is too heavy for it as written. If you would like to knit this pattern in DK weight (8 ply) then I would suggest you go up to at least a size 7 or 8 needle (4.5 or 5 mm). You will also need a lot more yardage to get a decent sized shawl.
Girl, I would have died if my husband did that. LOL I'm glad the superwash yarn shawl blocked out and survived though. Both of your designs are beautiful.

Can't wait to knit this up! Grabbed it right away. I have so much yarn this would look lovely in. Thanks so much Barbara!♡
Fantastic! I can't wait to see what you knit up.
Beautiful shawls and thanks for sharing the washing story.
Thanks for watching and commenting!

Your pattern is a perfect combination of variegated yarn and lace stitches. Thank you so much for your video.
I'm so glad you like it! Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful, the drape is amazing
Thank you! That comes from the combination of the yarn, lace, and working on a larger needle.

You are gonna be super surprised how easy it is! I can't wait to see what you knit up.
WOW. So gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
I just love these two, definitely off to purchase the pattern. Then will have to find just the right yarn to use.
Thank you! I can't wait to see what you knit up.

Wonderful! I can't wait to see your shawls!
Absolutely stunning so beautiful the shawls and design and color choices..time to buy more yarn lol and your pattern.🥰👏👏
Thank you!
Holy cow, these are sooo cool!!!
Thank you!
Great video (as always!) - love both versions of the shawl. The only problem will be trying to find more time to knit them!
Well, this one is so easy you could carry it anywhere so any time!
WatchBarbaraKnit Good answer!
Love both shawls . Love the black and white one's shape. Wish they were crochet.
I'm afraid that crochet is not in my design wheelhouse. But I bet you could find something similar on Ravelry.
Awesome! I saw it on Ravelry yesterday (I follow you!) and I was like wow, she snuck one in! It's really pretty, as are all of your designs. Also, I love your laugh. :)
I release things the evening before so that I can have all the links for the videos and my newsletter! So if you watch you will see them.
They looks fabulous Barbara xx😍💞
Thank you!
Those look so awesome. In my todo list.
Yay! Thank you.
How fun! I always enjoy seeing what you've come up with. :-D
Yay! Thank you!
Love both these patterns, Barbara! What would the yardage be for the one skein?
For The Fiber Seed each skein has 510 yards. There is some wiggle room built into the pattern just in case you don't get precise gauge.
Beautiful as always!
Thank you!
That looks great, interesting concept.
Thank you!

I weep for your cashmere.
It was a WIP and had to be cut off of the needles as it was well and truly felted. No coming back from that.
I love them both
Yay! Thank you.
My variegated yarn is 8 ply. Do you have a shawl for this. Or could I use this pattern?
This pattern is written for fingering weight yarn (4 ply) so 8 ply is too heavy for it as written. If the shawl had been ruined (and the yarn wasn't so awesomely superwash) there might have been a bit of a tussle. Thank you!
Love this.
Thank you
I'm glad you like it. Thank you.
Are the panels knit then stitched together or is it all one piece?
Both shawls are knit in one piece. I was just trying to describe why the lace goes in different directions.
i love both
Thank you!
Lindo!
Gracias!

Kolay ve pratik bir şeyle başlayın. Oraya varacaksın.
I crochet
Crocheting is super fun but I'm not very good at it.
👏❤️🥀
Thank you!
