  • If you have already built your first model and want to move to a new level - it's time to buy tools. In this video I will show how I chose the perfect rotary tool. My first one was the cheapest version of this type of tool (and it was my big mistake) and over time I found my favorite tool.
    Proxxon IBS/E Professional Drill/ Grinder. Quiet, powerful, well-balanced and without vibration - which fits perfectly in the hand and provides high-precision work with the smallest elements in shipmodelers tasks...

    I’ve been using Dremels for 40 years, but you’ve got some next-level skills! I have the flexible shaft attachment, but really need to add the drill press attachment to my toolkit. Fantastic overview of the flexibility of these amazing tools.

      You have a really great experience. I have been modeling for eleven years. But when I tried the PROXXON in the workshop of one of my trainers - I realized that it is the best rotary tool for modeling...
      P.S. Drill press - it is a very useful device and sometimes even irreplaceable...

      I"ve been using a Dremel rotary tool for over 60 Years .My dad bought one in 1956 and gave it to me, I still have it and still use it . Never had any issues with it other than replacing the brushes . Great tool .

    Sure these intricately detailed power tools greatly enhances both the accuracy and speed in which you craft these stunningly beautiful ships you fashion so exquisitely. I do pray this week finds new joys to bring into being some sublime sailing treasure for the mass of us that haven't the talent's to imagine nor create ourselves. Warmest regards dear friend.

    Olha love the video on the use of rotary power tools. I have seen you use them in some of your videos that I have been watching. I hope that 🙏 you are wearing eye protection when you use the cutting discs.

    Hi Olha! I'm starting my first wood model ship and just happened across your videos. I must say I love your work! Not sure if I'm going to go for the Proxxon just yet, but I would like to know what rotary tool attachments you use most often. It doesn't look like the Proxxon has many accessory attachments.

    • @OlhaBatchvarov
      @OlhaBatchvarov  2 роки тому

      For the first model, even a hand tool will suffice. The tools should be bought when you decide that this hobby is for you. For the rotary tool most often I probably use different diameter of Sanding bands, Сut-off weals and Drills...

      When I bought my tool, there were no wireless options. But before choosing, I would look for it in the store to hold in my hands. To test how balanced a wireless type. Because mine is just perfect and I can work directly on the model even in hard to reach places...

    Dremel's moto tool is good and strong, however their drill press is not. I'm much more satisfied with Proxxon's that features a full steel column in a metal alloy base.
    You just cannot cut corners when it comes to precision with a cheaply produced tool. So, Proxxon it is.

    Не. Стачивать большой объём дерева - слишком мусорно. Предпочитаю нож и резцы

    • @OlhaBatchvarov
      @OlhaBatchvarov  3 роки тому

      А какие резцы вы используете? И нож по всей видимости тоже специальный должен быть?

    • @zchz2224
      @zchz2224 3 роки тому +1

      @@OlhaBatchvarov для больших объемов я использую сапожный нож. Для малых - любой, к которому привык. А резцы - это для вогнутых поверхностей. Обычные резцы. Вообще ничего особенного. Лишь бы острый

      @@OlhaBatchvarov не за что. Желаю удачи. И обращаю внимание на то, что надо обращать внимание на направление волокон. И если нож не острый, можно сколоть лишнее. Ну и заготовку надо выбирать без сучков с нужным направлением волокон.
