As well as my ap study tips video
it's been a year!! can you please share your essay now??
As an 8th grader entering 9th grade at Brooklyn Tech high school , I thought it would be hard for me to cope with the next four years, but this video helped me calm down and look forward to them.
i’m glad 🫶🫶 you have so much time to figure it out
Same situation with me. I’m so worried about what to take and everything.
I am currently on my summer break heading to 9th grade and Yale University is my dream school. This video definitely helped me to calm down and made me have an idea of what to do during my high school career to hopefully reach my goal. Thank you and good job!!!
aww 🥹. best of luck, it’s going to go great for you.
if you remember me, come back and tell me how it goes🤍
If you need more advice, I have a new video coming out soon in 5 minutes (11:15am EST) about all of my advice for getting into Yale as well as the Ivys.
If you would like me to read your app, essay or answer questions, be one of the first 50 to comment and send me an email which is linked in that description
Thank you so much! I’m going into 9th grade this year and I’m worried about all the things I should take and do. I go to a small school and not a lot comes from it so I wanted to prove to everyone I’m capable of going to Yale. You made me feel so much better and more confident.❤
I believe in you!
I have a lot of friends from small high schools who are going to school with me! Same opportunities, same scholarships. It’s not the school, it’s the person, and I argue that a small school makes it easier to stand out.
Keep pushing, keep trying and keep your head up.
Much love,
Kayla
do not listen to this video buddy, but I love your confidence!
I like your personality❤❤ I am sure we will meet someday in the next four years at yale!
Excellent video - Keep up the awesome work going forward! Stay focused on your goals and dreams.
Thank you! Your kindness is very much appreciated.
I’m currently in eighth grade and I’m hoping to get into Yale as it’s been my dream school for years. This video helped so much with what to expect and how to manage my school years for the next five years!
glad to be of service
I just started freshman year last week and this helped me so much! Yale is my dream school. I was nervous about this year but this helped.
You got this!
Congrats!
I want to apply next year. But I'm from Ukraine and still checking my chances with the country's different educational system and current situation.
You gave me some good insights! Thank you!
Best of luck!
im going to highschool this year and its definitely a scary experience in my life i don't know what to expect so thanks for making this video i wanna go into an ivy league college one day so i could make my family proud and i can be the first one in my family to do something special with their life
fall in the same boat. None of my parents even graduated from high school! You don’t need an ivy to make them proud, but i’m sure you will.
Good luck, you’ll do great
omg congratulations!! you deserved it!
thank you 🫶🫶
this video was well edited :) good luck to you at yale :)
About that... I'm not going!! More info on that soon 🤣
TYSM
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
tysm 🫶🫶
I'm hoping to get into in 2025, and this video helped a lot.
good luck!!
watched this w my mom we very much enjoyed
W people
this vid was so simple and easy to follow, thank you fr! 🙏😭 and I just wanted to clarify - for Yale, does it mean that if u applied early to them, you can’t apple early for any other ivy?
It means that you can only apply to Yale. No other ivys, no other private institutions!
Hello! I also didnt inclue that my final average for junior year was a 98.76! If you have any questions, please let me know 🫶
Good luck everyone!
The way I chuckled when you mentioned your audience most likely being 13 years old. I'm currently an 8th grader and this video helped me so much with my research of how I can find my way to my journey to enter yale. I've been stressing about how I should plan out my high school years but your experience made me way more confident for my future and how I will follow my path to Yale. Thank you so much ‼️🫶
You got this!
Good luck to all those who apply!
Fingers crossed!
Ah I know I’m so late and you might not respond, but could you tell us how many hours etc. You spent studying?
This video is awesome 🤩 I'm hoping that I will get into Yale in 2025🙏
Aww tysm 🥹 i believe in you
As a south African broski thank you🤝🏾
much love
Can you do a full video on your college essay? Or even if you listed them on Application Bee or Admit Yogi, I would buy them in a heartbeat... I need inspiration so bad and Yale is my dream school 😭
sure! stay tuned in january!
seeing all the freshmen comment make me feel old😭i’m a junior & i haven’t really taken a lot of thought in college until now. my gpa is perfect but i don’t have many extracurriculars other than soccer and upward bound. i haven’t taken the SAT yet either, any advice on getting into good schools?
Nail your essays and make the things you did do seem very important to you!
This made me feel so confident did you get a full scholarship to Yale because my parents said get a full scholarship I graduate 2024 I’m hoping to get the full scholarship
i did 🤍
lol i feel like everyone in the comments is 13 but i'm 16 (junior) PRAYINGGG to get to Yale next school year, thank you for the tips!
Good luck! Did you apply EA?
im going to bronx science now as a rising junior and my grades aren't this accomplished 😭
hi kayla , i have a a question , i'am an international student (not living in the us) but my dream it's to study in yale but when i search i found that it's so hard to study in yale if you were an international student so please can you tell me if this is true or not , now i just finish 9th grade with a very high grades but i feel like there are something missing and i want to know what do i need to study i yale , and thank you so much🤍
Yale is 22% international students, meaning it is very competitive, but not impossible. I am going to make a video abt studying and organizing to get into ivys soon!
With that said, make sure your grades on above avg for your school and your country!
Thank you so much. Is it difficult to get a full-ride scholarship for Bachelore program in Yale?
If you are low income, no. But if you are from a higher-income, yes it can be challenging
Hi! I was wondering if you have any tips on teacher recommendations? Specifically how you should ask your teachers for a rec and if you need to provide them with any extra information before you ask them? I love your channel by the way!
My tips are:
1. have one from humanities and one from stem, it does you’re well rounded and capable of being great in multiple subjects
2. your teachers don’t have to be the ones where your grade it the highest! i asked my pre calc teacher (after failing 2 of her tests) and her rec was one of the strongest.
3. avoid teachers that aren’t from your junior (11th grade) year.
4. Ask them what their policies are for recs, ask them in person and then send them an email explaining what the rec is for (as proof and final confirmation for your rec). Many teachers will have you fill out a questionnaire for recs, but it’s good to tell them a little able yourself when sending an email.
Be kind and make sure you follow all instructions given to you in a timely manner!
best of luck 🤍🤍
Could you elaborate on your student diversity committee job? I'm interested in seeing if I could do it at my own school.
I advised diversity training in new hires by screening them on their knowledge of other cultures/reactions to other cultures. Then we also planned events and other activutues to educate students!
I think I got good ECs and stats but I suck at writing essays, please if you get sometime can you edit my essays?
I would love to ! I have a new video coming out soon in 5 minutes (11:15am EST) about all of my advice for getting into Yale as well as the Ivys.
If you would like me to read your app, essay or answer questions, be one of the first 50 to comment and send me an email which is linked in that description
Hi! Do you have any study tips towards freshman-senior, and how did you manage to study for all of those classes! 😄
Yes! Videos coming soon on how to organize yourself for ivys as well as how to study ( that is if you vote for it )!
Remember I said new video soon? I finally got to it lol. Link:

Hey! I need some advice. I am currently working for an Instagram page with over 120k followers dedicated to astrophysics, cosmology, and astronomy. The page regularly posts information on these fascinating topics. My role involves conducting research on various subjects and presenting the information in a concise and attractive manner for this page. I have been engaged in this position for the past 2 years.
I am wondering if this experience could be considered a research internship or some other kind of activity. Moreover, I am applying for the undergraduate program in the Astrophysics department for the Fall of 2024, and I would like to know how I can present this experience in an attractive way on the Common App. And can you review my essay for yale?
Thank you for your help!
Yes, that can be used as a part of your common app! And as for reviewing your essays, I would love to ! I have a new video coming out soon in 5 minutes (11:15am EST) about all of my advice for getting into Yale as well as the Ivys.
If you would like me to read your app, essay or answer questions, be one of the first 50 to comment and send me an email which is linked in that description
@@kaylasierrah I wrote essays on 22-23 promt because I thought prompt won't change but it changed so I need to write it again. Can I Mail it when I will be done with it?
@@mantashasiddiqui4212 Yes!
congratulations!! what was your class rank when you submitted your application?
1!
My school doesn’t rank students, rather we get a recommendation from our counselors. The counselors then compare our stats and I was informed that I had one of the best stats ratio in my grade.
However, I have a friend who ranked 30th and still got in, as well as friends who had 94-96 averages.
thank you so much for the info :)
Hi I’m going into my senior year and I’m wondering if you could review my stats. I don’t know my chances of getting in an Ivy League so having so confirmation would be nice.
sure email me and i’ll compare them with mine and a couple of others at my school: exadecent@gmail.com
@@kaylasierrah ok I emailed you my information I used a different email though.
Congrats on your admission to Yale.
Can you do a video explaining how you did so well in your classes (+97%)? Your GPA must be insanely high. Any study or note taking tips would be appreciated as my boy just got into Bronx Science.
Yes my GPA is 98.56! I’ll make a video soon 🫶
Congrats to him!
@@kaylasierrah That's amazing! Looking forward to the videos and will make sure my son watches he one. Make sure you go into detail by subject as I am sure it various by subject. For example, you are right social studies is just straight memorization but ELA and math require more thinking.
got it! video soon
As promised, the guide for Yale and high school success will be here in 2 minutes! Also best of luck to your son!!
ua-cam.com/video/R44c9OA7cRU/v-deo.html
@@kaylasierrah Thanks
hey! could you make a vid explaining how to apply for financial aid? I really want to go to Yale and im ranked #1 at my school curently, but i'm scared that I cant go because I can't affored it :(
Hey I visited Yale recently and they give 100% financial aid if your family makes less than 75k per year. But they also give aid above that just not 100%
i don’t think you should worry, unless your family is extremely wealthy, and even then, they still are pretty helpful
@@elenakennedy282 okk tysm! do u apply for it after you get accepted?
@@kaylasierrah ok tysmm
It is automatically given to you!
I have a question-is it possible to get in from another country like international? And how if it is? Ty💕
20% of Yale is comprised of international students! You can apply through their normal application process (usually common app) and indicate you are from another country.
I have a question can we take dual enrollment in 9th grade?
I don't think so!
what should i do if my school doesn’t have any ap?
They look at you in the context of your school, so they won't compare you to people who have AP! I have a video abt why I didn't end up going though that comes out in abt 30 min
what should i do, if my school doesn’t have any ap?
My school doesn’t have them either so when I asked someone they told me when I apply I should inform them that my school don’t offer them so that’s what I will be doing
this is late but what about any honors/awards?
None! I am a pretty plain student until senior year when I introduced the UN ambassador and won 7 awards and a scholarship (but none of that counts).
As normal as it can be aside from my wins in MUN (but it's a club so I doubt it counts).
Did you take ACT or SAT? What did you score?
i submitted test optional, but I took the SAT once a got a 1450
Thank you❤️ good luck to you and your future endeavors.
What’s ap traditional literature?
It’s a senior year writing course! It covers well, traditional literature 😅. You learn to analyze the deeper meanings of texts and write a thesis paper about them!
Overall, it’s relatively easy
Wait, if you have to promise to only apply to Yale, then what can I do if u don’t get accepted??
that's only for early decision applicants, you can apply anywhere else regular decision but if u get in to ur ed school u have to go there
@@mxrieughh I know but, you literally aren’t allowed to apply anywhere? Or just you have to wait for reg application dates for other university
@@brooke-sterling im not sure what ur asking 😭 when u apply to college, u can apply to however many you want. if u choose to ed to one school, you can only apply early there and u can apply regular anywhere else. if u get into ur ed school you have to go and remove ur applications anywhere else, and if you dont get in u can go to any other school u got in to
Please what major did you apply as
economics! the most competitive major at Yale
Hello what about the SAT score
I didn't use it, but I took it once and got an 1450. 790 on my English and 660 on math.
What about SAT/ACT?
didn’t submit it at all, but I took it once and got a 1450 w/o studying 🧍
Is 1450 not a good enough score for the ivys?@@kaylasierrah
My counselor said not to submit as most ppl from my school scored from 1550-1590 when applying to the IVYS and my application was great without it
how many ap classes did your school offer?
almost all of them, so around 25-30 if i'm not mistaken.
@@kaylasierrah ohh ok, so when you applied you’d only taken 3? But at the end of senior year you’d taken 8?
yes
Did you submit your SAT?
nope 🤍
how did she guess i was 13 years old lmao
i'm a wizard
🤍🤍good luck everyone
