I'm not Arab but I am Muslim, I'm planning to wear this type of clothing on the streets of Australia , just to see what kind of reactions I get from people lol. BTW I live in Australia.
You guys rock! I'm applying for Qatar University (I'm from Mexico by the way) so I'm trying to learn as much as possible about Qatari culture and I like your videos because they are so much fun, please keep going with the great stuff! :)
I was going to fly "another carrier in that area" to Australia but....I'm changing my reservations to Qatar. Whilst there I'll buy a Thobe, practice my almost non-existent Arabic, and enjoy what I did not know. Every country should have something like this and, of course, the gentlemen presenters are great. It's so relaxed, informal and yet completely informative in a very brief minute.
You guys are super cool......I love your channel.... the reason that i subscribed your channel 1. Awesome presentation by Mr.Q and the others 2. great Editing 3Lot of valuable information about Qatar and the culture delivered in such a cool, funny way Keep it up guys...want to watch more

Well as it is told in the video that in the past egal was used to tie up the camels. Turban was much more common in the arabs at that time. The omanis, hejazis of saudi and yemenis still practice that old tridition of wearing turban but tbh ghatra is cool
Hi there Edelman, I think that it depends where a person is dressed in an Abaya and Burqa. The purpose isn't to avoid attention but to avoid attracting the wrong type of sexual attention. Having said that, in Qatar, women can where whatever they want. Some wear an Abaya, some where just a hijab, some where a Burqa, some where clothes without an Abaya or hijab, some where a batoola. Women have the right to make their own choices. :)
Mr. Q - iLoveQatar.net Hey there Edel, I can assure you that it was not intended to be in anyway offensive. I have a friend saved on my mobile named Geoff Edelman and it must have been my iPhone's autocorrect.
the 2nd fact guy made me laught out loud. :D and thats saying something coz we are all so very desensitized to jokes that for the funniest jokes, we smile and move on.
Is it permitted for a foreigner to wear the Qatari dress while in country? One always feels awkward in a foreign country especially if you stick out as a foreigner. Now, most likely your behavior/language will do that by itself however being dressed in the same clothes may help one feel more comfortable when out and about. Thoughts?
في ذمتي انكم كفووو !! .... فيكم الخير والبركه واتمنى تكون في حلقات متشابها لاكن بالغة العربية حق الوافدين العرب. غير ذلك ماقول غير بعدي يا اشناب :):):)
Awesome, it is really cool to see you guys putting a little bit of self irony in all that. And the Qatari ladies working in our office told me that even with abayas, there are subtle ways of showing off, is it?
O.o I understand the purpose of wearing an abaya is modesty. Im kind of American artsy lol! What if I wanted to be modest and wear an abaya but keep my personality. Can I wear a... purple abaya?
Well we live in Bahrain and we are Canadian Pakistani and I have went out in thawb and ghutra and people did talk to me in Arabic even when I am not wearing a thawb because people mistaken me for Khaleeji Arab because of my skin color and my mom says I look Egyptian. I know some Arabic and we do have Iraqi Ancestry so yeah. Though I wish I spoke fluent Gulf Arabic (The one exclusive to Mamlakat Al-Bahrain) and then people would feel I am Arab.
Dear sir, Why most of the qatari guy looks angry all time, i never saw any qatari laughing or smileing, Is this also a part of discipline or culture.....? And even indian people mostly field workers have so much fear of qatari guy.....
Saad is the best, he should have a whole series.
