- Vinsmoke Sanji is incredibly powerful, but is he stronger than zoro? Stronger than yamato? Watch the video and find out. Over the course of the series, sanji and zoro have fought with each other relentlessly. But time and time again sanji has drawn a short end of the stick. But with his new power, it has made this conversation a lot more interesting.
Sanji now comfortably sits in league with the first commanders.

I've seen a theory about Sanji being given very specific opponents throughout the series that he eventually takes something from each opponent. He took Vergo's iron body. He took lightning from Enel in the new ifrit jambe. He took moon walk from CP9. This is all in relation to his memory cells that are connected to his lineage factor. If it wasn't for his role as the protector of the crew I think he'd be given more feats. Also the difference in difficulty between his fight and Zoro's with the beast pirates is night and day. Zoro while he was massively damaged already struggled immensely with his fight. In contrast Sanji absolutely dogged queen once his lineage factor kicked in. (Also invisibility if it's not just his speed is super ridiculous hax)

*To add something before watching the video. Sanji after the time skip was holding back a lot as confirmed in the manga. This means he was truly able to make his flames much hotter due to his CoA, which means he had in reality noticable more speed and AP.

something that frustrates me about zoro's ease in beating king was that if king kept using his long range projectile move, he would've had a much higher chance beating zoro
like it was such an obvious counter to zoro, but he chose to fight him in melee range, which makes no sense

Successfully defeated in a 1v1 is kind of a stretch there. That man Kaido fought Luffy, Kid, Law, Yamato, The samurais, momonosuke and Luffy again after he literally beat him twice, killing him once, before Luffy eventually won.

You can't decide somebody is stronger just by the amount of attack they landed to beat someone. Zoro is obviously stronger, but this scaling is hilarous.

it's hard to really scale Sanji as of now. Literally the moment he just tried to combine all of his upgrade, he finished Queen with his combo. The fight became trial and success instead of trial and error lmaoo
But still, Yamato is STRONGER than both Zoro and Sanji. People tend to underrate her so much, she has been training for 20+ years and has better mastery of acoc.

@A Great Man Named Lieu it's just that, Yamato didn't join cause she's still above Zoro and Sanji. That's what happened on Jinbei so I'm assuming once Zoro and Sanji became stronger than her then the next time they meet, Yamato would most likely join the crew.

For the story, Zoro will be kept stronger than Sanji because the "only" identify of Zoro is that he wants to be the strongest swordsman.
Sanji on the other hand wants to be a cook and explore the world to find all blue. He's strong because he has been trained and he wants to genuinely protect his friends. He's very kind and by extension he learned to fight from Zef to be able to defend himself and others.
So while he's one of the main fighter, he's usually a "protector" first. Zoro is more like the guy who will follow closely behind Luffy's charge.
So he will be kept slightly stronger than Sanji but they will always have a rivalry suggesting they're most likely close to each other.
Also, Sanji seems to be a fighter who grows from his feelings during its fights.
But yeah overall, Sanji won't "ever" be stronger than Zoro because that would remove whole Zoro's identity. He's still my favorite character though.
completely agree, and i just want to emphasize your statement that just because zoro is stronger than sanji, doesn't make sanji weak. they will always be close in strength. Zoro will still always take on the 2nd strongest and sanji will take the 3rd strongest. One will always be a clear stronger fighter but the other one will always be close in strength

My interpretation is that sanji has more potential than zoro due to him being a genetically modified human although i don’t think he will ever surpass zoro as he’s just not that type of person. Zoro’s ambition is to become the world’s greatest swordsmen while sanji just wants to find the all blue. He doesn’t even fight with his whole body. And throughout the story zoro is always shown to be fighting more powerful opponents and training in combat much more than sanji.

Strongest swordsman not the greatest
I partially disagree, all of sanjis brother are genetically modified but are much weaker, in terms of potential, zoro is descendant of sword god ryuma, a man compared to joyboy, plus zoro has adv. Conquerors.. W/c is foreshadowed as early as enies lobby. Though i believe the difference is not that far.
About sanji not using his whole body is the same as luffy using a sword.. It doesnt make sense.. Remember he is at the very least trained by zeff a man known for his kicks.. The reason he is not using his body is because kicks are his specialty, unless you believe that if sanji used his hand in fighting he is stronger.. Much like zoro is still strong using no sword style but is much weaker compared to him using swords.
The important thing is that Luffy is a 10 and Sanji is a 9. Zoro's level fluctuates depending on which of the two is closest to him.
Zoro with his best attack amped by a full release from Enma barely scarred Kaido and didn’t do much actual ‘damage’
Zoro fight a high to extreme difficulty fight against King and has to awaken to a level beyond the rooftop to win
Sanji had a mid dif fight against Queen who is somewhat relative to King overall but less mobile etc
Luffy ‘beat’ Kaido in a ‘1 v 1’ (air quotes), and with advanced Haki his base punches did more damage than Zoro’s best attacks. Then he has G2-5 amping that base level

In fact zoro momentarily blocking two yonko, breaking his body, then clashing with kaido and speed blitzing is a feat Sanji can’t even come close to. He’s never even hurt a top tier lol. I'll start by talking about Zoro vs Kaido then King. Then I'll transition to how this relates to Sanji's strength and how this proves he is at least comparable to Zoro's strength.
Zoro showcased 3 different levels of strength. He showed that he was able to DAMAGE Kaido, SCAR Kaido (when he used his strongest technique Ashura), and Adv. Supreme King Haki (to wound King). Let's say Zoro damaging Kaido is Level 1, Zoro Adv. Supreme King is Level 2, and Zoro scarring Kaido is Level 3.
Level 1 (Damage Kaido)
In chapter 1010, Zoro used "Dragon Twister" to cut Kaido. You can see Kaido's blood. However, when Zoro used "Dragon Twister" on King.... King took NO DAMAGE. King completely blocked the attack. Lv 1 Strength is NOT enough to surpass King's defense.
Level 2 (Advanced Conqueror's Haki)
When Zoro infused Advanced Haki onto his blades, every attack he did made King bleed. That's how Zoro defeated King.
Level 3 (Scar Kaido)
And I say that Adv. Supreme King is Level 2 because I think Ashura is Zoro's STRONGEST technique. That is why I put Ashura as Level 3 strength.
Queen's Durability
Now, before I go deep into Sanji vs Queen. I want to make sure we are on the same page about how strong Queen is. Remember when Kaido used Air Slashes that easily cut Kiku's arm off on the rooftop? When Kaido launched an Air Slash at Zoro, he easily deflected it.
In chapter 1027, King used his own "Air Slash" move on Zoro. he got sent flying. Franky had to catch him. Queen also got hit by the air slash. That same air slash did NOTHING to Queen...
Sanji Post-Awakening
Before Sanji awakened, he did no damage to Queen. After Sanji awakened, every attack he did harmed Queen. It's hard to measure Sanji's new level strength besides him being much stronger than he was. So, I will underestimate him. His attacks would need to AT LEAST be the same strength as King's Air Slash in order to damage Queen. Again, King's air slash is more potent than the one Kaido's used that a LEVEL 1 Zoro can deflect. So it is fair to say that Sanji is AT LEAST a Level 1 Zoro. AGAIN, that SAME Zoro can damage Kaido! And I'd go as far to say that Ifrit Jambe boosts Sanji's strength at least CLOSE to Level 2 Zoro's strength.

btw I have Zoro above Sanji as per portrayal but the difference is very very close.
If they both were to fight it will be an extreme diff fight for Zoro because that's how there Rivalry is portrayed.
They both excel at different things and while Zoro does have more attack power, Sanji Ap is no joke with his recent upgrade. Even withou Ifrit Jambe just his exosceleton gives him a considerable boost in power and speed. Queen was hopeless and the fight was pretty much over since the first Ifrit Jambe kick Sanji landed.
i am not taking an aim at Zoro fans and somewhat Sanji fans but both sides get insecure as soon even one of them does something cool.

Anyways Zoro and Sanji are both top tier characters and strength wise pretty relevant to each other.

Oda has thankfully taken different angles and approach to their power level, while advance conquerors and armament are Op, Oda has also portrayed science as a major source of power such as Seraphims, Cyborgs, Pacifistas, ancient weapons and the Warrior of Science himself " Vinsmoke Sanji".
The monster trio is a very interesting dynamic among the strawhats and they should be enjoyed

God Speeds, Insane Firepower, Cray Durability and Regeneration just seems like too much for Yamato to handle. Even if she has a better grasp on haki than Sanji, how could she use it effectively if she can hit him because of his speed or if he wont just regenerate. My Opinion though. Amazing vid.

Facts. Haki isn't that overpowered that it completely neglects any other abilities. It only gave you a slight edge if you're fighting someone that's similar to your level. Just because you have better haki and control of said haki, doesn't mean you always gonna win or be stronger than someone with weaker haki. Law has significantly weaker haki than Big Mom and don't even have conqueror's haki. And yet his DF allows him to completely bypass Big Mom's highly durable skin and haki. Hell, BB had became an emperor barely using any haki at all.

I'll never understand why so many anime fans are so obsessed with power scaling. Sanji is my fave character in One Piece and I'm not worried about that.
I think you missed an important point here, while Zoro and Sanji always fight the second and third strongest respectively, Sanji usually has an easier time defeating his opponents than Zoro does. Their fights in Alabasta, Enies Lobby and Wano are prime examples of this
I agree that Zoro is MOST of the time portrayed stronger but it wasn't a definite thing in the Wano chapter until his Conqueror Haki reveal. Since Sanji's bounty was higher, plus the raid suit, plus the genetic enhancements and fighting King and Queen at the same time (which you left out) he was being portrayed as stronger even to Queen himself when he was looking at the bounty posters. Sanji was nerfed, it's not that Sanji can't be stronger, it's that his character development is not ripe enough. He's royalty, he may still awaken conquerors later on but I think he will have to Conqueror his self in away, then he will be portrayed stronger or as strong as Zoro for a bit.

Yamato's having it despite not wanting to be a pirate captain or any leader really and is willing to be under people such as Luffy, Ace and Momo.
I think sanji has an easier time fighting the number 3 than zoro has fighting number 2, i think zoro does edge out as the victor but sanji is definitely in the same level as and comparable to him while being faster, more durable, better observation haki and hax (like flying and turning invincible). Honestly I think they’re going to be equals. Look at Dory and Brogy the two giants who kept tying in their hundreds of duels, it all started over who caught the bigger Beast. Zoro and Sanji got in the same argument and competition both catching same size monsters 😂
If Yamato is stronger than zoro and sanji for stalling kaido Jinbe is stronger than all of them because he actually did something to big mom and stalled her long enough for luffy to make it to Wano a significant amount of time ahead of big mom.
Zoro stalled kaidos attack way longer and deflected kaidos attack with big mom as well as cutting kaido
yeah, the story will very often "change" the power of some characters just to make the plot going in the direction it wants.
That's why you will sometimes see Zoro/Luffy/Sanji struggles against OBVIOUSLY weaker characters just so some discussions/flashback comes up to have a build up on the next events.
That's the biggest issue I have with these kind of videos. Yamato is so overrated in terms of powerscaling for such little feats. Being able to hold off isn't impressive at all. This video is so hypocritical for claiming rivalry doesn't showcased people's strength and is a joke but at the same time put way too much emphasis on the ability of stalling someone eventhough it's equally insignificant if not less significant indicator of someone's strength compared to rivalry.
But sanji also obliterated queen with little effort and his haki definitely scales to AT LEAST 2nd Commander tier. Plus sanji was way more focused on his body than he was on the fight. Also look at the end of both fights, Zoro nearly died and Sanji literally collapsed from tiredness but was up by the end of the raid, zoro almost died. These things need to be took into account when you powerscale a character against another when evidence is there like with zoro vs sanji. - Portrayal and Narrative -
I think you can not compare Sanji and Zoro to Luffy and the the Supernovas. Sanji and Zoro are true rivals in strength and in those small fights both seem to be "equal". Besides that they were meant to reflect Brogy and Dorry and within the series this narrative is pretty clear.
Also one thing is that they are put at the same TIER/Status by being the Wings of the Pirate King completely confirming this (not only confirmed by robin but from Oda).
- Ambitions (---> Haki) -
It is in my opinion pretty clear that Sanji do have kingly ambitions, royal blood and every right to have CoC like Zoro (there are many posts confirming this). The main reason why sanji does not have CoC is because of his past. He rejected "himself".
- Fights -
Zoro did not always fight the 2nd strongest. But looking at it one may notice that sanji on average finishes his fights with less difficulty. The fight against CP9 is pretty confirming my point. Jabra and Kaku were pretty much equal (Jabra even said he would be stronger with his DF) and sanji defeated him easier.
King and Queen are fairly similar in combat power (even if you believe King is stronger). Queen has very good permanent Durability (not temporary like King) and many abilities and crazy hax (Invisibility, and all the abilities of the Germa, his own attacks ....). And they are protrayed to be rather similar. Additionally one of his attacks are so strong that it even crushes the bones and innards of CoA masters and all of his attacks have immense AP (The germa moves seem to be even enhanced further and that with his raw power).
The thing here is (and most will agree with me and its obvious) is that Sanji was humilating Queen in basically everything even though he was by far more exhausted and damaged before than Queen. His kick named Boef Burst was able to kick Queen (in his Zoan form) to another Island! And he needed just 1 kick. Of course he kicked him multiple times but those were just "lanky" kicks (Is like Zoro deactivating CoC). Again Queen had literally no chance.
In the fight with King, he has proven himself to be worthy fighting Zoro and was able to still keep up. Besides that IQ and BIQ wise King has shown to be one of the **** characters in One Piece. Zoro needed 2 clear hits with CoC and 1 all out launching attacks to defeat King in his Speed Mode.
- How strong is Sanji? -
You mentioned it is not right to claim someone stronger because he is better in some categories. But this is what actually the Sanji supporters say due to the fact sanji edging in most categories and being by far more versatile.
Sanji has crazy speed (one of the fastest) and the only one being so fast that Oda used the same word he used with Shiryu when he became invisible. No one can see Sanji and he obtained the power to be invisible with raw speed. He got insanely strong AP and that without Ryou and CoC, which was able to send Queen to another Island (It scales higher in AP than pre CoC Zoro). We know that he got immense durability comparable to a full CoA coating and most likely surpassing King in his speed mode durability, Sanji also tanked countless of very strong attacks from Queen without being significantly damaged, just signs of wear at the end. Due to his exoskeleton pretty much all of his Physical capabilities are greatly enhanced such as physical strength and stamina. And we know he got abnormal regeneration, thus being able to "easily" recover from a curshed body including innards.
It is pretty clear how strong he is (He is definetely stronger than Katakuri, King and Marco). I do not think he could directly clash with Kaido in a long term although is AP in a confrontation is formidable and would stand his own. Against a Kaido Sanji surely will use his Speed combined with his AP, which should be able to definetely damage Kaido and proving Sanji to be a great annoyance and that also with Whitebeard.
Currently in a 1v1 it is Sanji. In terms of damaging Monsters Zoro is the better Choice.

Sanji hasn’t shown anything that can damage Kaido. You need internal destruction of some variety to hurt him. Zoro had ACOC. Luffy had Ryou and ACOC. Law has his shock Willie, puncture Willie, gamma knife, etc.
Sanji’s attacks are direct blunt force attacks even if he does put some heat on them. It’s completely unreasonable to say that Sanji has the same ballpark AP as Zoro. Better speed? Probably. Better observation Haki? Absolutely. But AP? No. No feats. Zoro scarred Kaido. And honestly I’m not certain he has the durability on Zoro either. Sanji’s exoskeleton may have broken Queen’s sword on his head, but Zoro temporarily tanked a combination Yonko attack with Conquest of the Seas. That’s one of the best durability feats in the series. I think both fighters are YC1 when full power, but I can’t justify Sanji over Zoro at all.

Now comes your delusional part. Zoro is a mere human that trained and thats it. He is vulnurable compared to Zoans or superhumans like Sanji. Sanji is basically permanently wearing a full body armement haki coating. A normal attack with a machete, sword and knife (Killer vs Zoro...) would damage Zoro seriously and easily pierce through his body and skin. While Queen who is stronger than Killer especially in AP attacked Sanji with a sword directly in his neck. The sword broke and sanji was annoyed by it. Zoros head would be lying on the ground if you switch him with sanji. Additionally he attacked Sanji with very strong attacks (electricity, laser beams and many other attacks) and at the end sanji had "just" signs of wear while Zoro would already been knocked out or dead. On top of that sanji survived an attack that is said to even crush the bones and innards of armement haki masters and sanji just regenerated from it.

If you have the number of Kizarus dealer i would like to have it. He did not tank it.... 20-30 of his bones were broken and he would be dead without the help of his mates. Even pre awakened sanji would heal from it (unlike zoro he healed himself when his body like bones and innards were crushe. Additionally he is again a mere human who gets damaged by any sharp thing (Zoro vs Killer).

This tbh. A lot of people forget the the actual "value" of Sanji is his versatility.
Shounen fandom takes power as everything, and it is fine. However, in actual and realistic scenario, Sanji is a better companion to have in surviving the One Piece world. Sanji has a lot of useful skill to deal with many, if not all, situations we've seen in the story.

You have no feats for your assumptions about where he “should” be. You say where his AP should be or where his speed should be or where his durability should be but he doesn’t have the feats yet. Yeah his exoskeleton turned on and he started slamming Queen, but you don’t have fears against a YC1 or higher opponent.
You keep mentioning how Zoro would be hurting if the same attack hit him, but Zoro’s armament Haki is MUCH stronger than Sanji’s. He could easily withstand hits from Queen if he Haki’d up. Queen isn’t a swordsman by trade, so his sword would break on Zoro too. Zoro would have to have Haki on but he could take the hit no sweat. He has taken hits from fighters much stronger than Queen.
You’re in theory land. Sanji’s toughest opponent he has fought is Queen. He’s a second commander. There’s a reason he wasn’t on the roof. He’s not as strong as Zoro. People seems to forget that Bon Clay is actually pretty much an equal to Mr. 1 as shown during their first meeting. And Crocodile never decides the position and hierarchy of the Barouque Works based on strength. Cause like he said, if he had done that Mr.4 or Mr.5 would have been higher than Mr. 3. He decide them based on their practicality and usefulness. So people can never truly say that Bon Clay is 100% weaker than Mr. 1 in overall combat capability cause there's no evidence that truly show that feat. But we can at least say they are comparable in strength.

That's a very likely possibility but still speculation till we see another serious fight scenario for these characters, so we go with their Wano versions feats for now. Zoro just needs to master Enma a bit better/Enma needs to be less taxing for Zoro to win, no new big powerup needed.

Im a big Sanji fan but even I know that Zoro is just a demon really right beside Luffy in terms of strength and speed.
Sanji definitely has the potential to be equal to Zoro at some point in the series. His haki may not be perfected, but Oda stated that Sanji's affinity has always been in Observation. I don't think it's outlandish to think that Sanji will have future sight before Zoro does, if he even gets it. Beyond that, Zoro and Sanji have always been portrayed as each other's keepers, so while he may be weaker now, Sanji's power ups are getting him as much bang for buck as Zoro does with Enma.

I feel like zoro finished King in three attacks because he was, of course, with his flames off, but also in human form. Queen was in his hybrid form the whole time, which is known to be a lot more durable. Maybe Queen would have been offed in less attacks if he was in his human form as well. Also, Sanji is known for these combos, the man has style, he likes to cook. With that said, I do still believe Zoro is stronger, he's a warrior, after all, that's his only duty in the crew. I'd say having a cook on your tail in regards of power considering you train everyday to be a killing machine is pretty humiliating.

I don’t think he is necessarily equal to Zoro or Yamato but the gap between them is just way too small.
What does he do about the Haki? He can't hold off Kaido. For one to at least stand toe to toe with a serious Kaido, even if just for a while, one must possess the ability to cost CoC; as seen with Yamato, Luffy, Big Mom and Zoro's little clash/Asura.

Sanji just passively buffed by his body being now stronger than steel. Basically his armament haki in my head cannon is comparable to cracker( = or >,). Cracker haki is pretty damn strong, but weaker than katakuri power mochi and presumably other first mates. Sanji haki might've improved during the heat of the battle too on top of body strength buff. Regardless Sanji having improved haki + stronger resilient body + in tune with himself equal super hot blue fire ifrit attack

You also forget that his awakening shattered her bones and forced her to heal and amp herself to a level beyond anything she’s shown in the series so far, and even when amped she was scared of Law’s attacks more than Kid’s, implying that’s where most of the damage came from.
Blackbeard overall might not be a Haki monster like Kaido or Big Mom and doesn’t have their natural durability, but his offensive power is higher than theirs via the Quake fruit, which scaled Whitebeard’s AP to the highest in the verse despite his durability and speed being kinda trash compared to the other Yonko in Marineford.
Law was able to match BB’s Quake enhanced strikes and clash evenly with at least one. Keep in mind BB is fresh compared to Kaido who suffered an insane amount of internal damage before his 1 v 1 with Luffy started. And even after that he fought Yamato, then Luffy again, and took all of G5 Luffy’s hits and was damaging him too.
I’m not saying Law is physically equal to Luffy in stats per say, but fighting a fresh mid tier Yonko with the highest AP and matching that vs fighting an injured version of the physically strongest/fastest high tier Yonko while literally dying and getting an amp from dying and still barely beating him is more comparable than you think
The reason I say Zoro and Sanji are equal is because of feats. Going back to the queen fight once Sanji got his power up he was no selling all of queen’s attacks and then blitz him easily. Sanji moved so fast queen thought he turned invisible and this is someone who’s arguably faster and stronger than Katakuri (based on feats and how Katakuri was having difficulties with Sanji’s weaker siblings, Caesar and his own brother who Sanji no diffed before, etc). Then he one shot queen and kicked him so hard he went flying out of onigashima. Yeah Zoro has conquerors haki but if I recall it’s not advanced conquerors haki so it doesn’t give him a big edge over Sanji because Sanji ain’t weak willed. I feel like you can switch their opponents throughout the series and the results would be the same. I’d say Sanji is faster and more durable but Zoro has attack power and conquerors haki.

To correct you a bit, most of zoro Vs king was off screened, we don’t know if zoro only did 3 hits on king, you are forgetting that zoro managed to crack kings mask off screen, also sanji doing 10 plus hits on queen which I don’t even think it was 10 hits but even so sanji is a fighter, zoro is a swordsman, it’s clearly different fighting styles, that’s like saying gear 5th luffy took 20+ hits while zoro only took 3 hits on king, zoro fighting style requires him to use less techniques he just never and rarely spams attack and sword men in general doesn’t spam their attacks like how melee fighters do, also it’s never stated that king is more durable than queen, queen is a bronco which in real life is a big Beefy dino and the pterodactyl has also been a tall but slender dino, it isn’t crazy to say that queen may be more durable and he is also cyber enhanced, I do think zoro is stronger than sanji but I don’t think it’s a big gap, realistically sanji could speed blitz most characters I put sanji above 1st commander level and I put zoro near yonko level and of course luffy is yonko level barely though because kaido was weakened I think when luffy went gear 5th he was toying with kaido for a bit and he only when serious after kaido used a serious conquers thunder Bagua attack and then luffy responded with Bajarged gun
Zoro is closer to 1st Commander than Yonko. His best attack scarred Kaido but didn’t do any real damage or even knock him down, and then after he was healed he had a high to extreme difficult fight with King. Compare that to Law who made Big Mom scared to take his attacks and shattered her bones, Kid who’s Magentism’s could overpower Big Mom’s kinetic energy and physical strength enough to rag doll her, and Luffy’a feats of damaging Kaido with his advanced Haki and hand to hand
And compare that to Zoro who had a high dif fight against King.
Though I think Zoro and Sanji are both above Yonko commanders besides Shanks, Buggy (as hilarious as that is to say, but he has Zoro’s top opp), and potentially Blackbeards, esp with Aokiji. But Kaido, Big Mom and Whitebeard’s commanders have been surpassed

I think it also helps to look at their endgame.
Zoro will surpass Mihawk, firmly putting him in high Yonko tier (Kaido, Shanks, Mihawk).
If people are right about Sanji fighting Kizaru, he’ll be stronger than high Admiral tier. Far stronger than most 1st commanders but still weaker than a Yonko.
Sanji’s endgame will probably be as strong as Ben Beckmann, making admirals sweat.

How do Zoro's base stats not hold up when his base is relative to Luffy's G4? This was shown in Dressrosa when he cut through Pica with ease, and again on the roof. I keep saying this: Anything below Gear 4 is not enough to beat Zoro, now his Haki has grown even more after his extended use of Enma's full power. I believe Kaido would have a hell of a time putting down post Wano Zoro.

Nah bro. Neither Zoro nor Sanji can hold off Kaido. Maybe they together can do it for as long as Yamato, but certainly not 1v1. Beating King and Queen combined is less impressive than holding off a serious Hybrid Kaido.
@@uche5815 Zoro was easily tracking King, whose speed is relative to Katakuri who can keep with G4, unless all that training and his awakening affected his speed as well. But while he may not be fast enough, he still has observation coupled with a faster reaction time than Luffy's, his Conquerers and Armament are on par, and his attack power was amped so much that Oni Giri became a projectile attack. Zoro would destroy anything below G4.

Kat could have finished Luffy off twice if it wasn't for dumb luck (i.e., Kat getting hungry and careless and Tree giving Luffy the ability to pass through mirrors. Not to down play Luffy though, it's because of his ability to pull people on his side and is insane luck that he is where he is. I respect Law. Especially after Wano.

It seems to me that Sanji and Zoro are pretty much in the same tier and very close powerwise, but In a 1v1 battle against each other Sanji gets destroyed 10 times out of 10, because of his lack of advanced conqueror's haki. His speed doesn't give him any meaningful edge, as it's general speed and not attack speed, which is equal to Zoro. His durability and stamina are superior to Zorro, thanks to the exoskeleton and regeneration, but it doesn't matter as he would get one or two shotted by advanced conc, while Zoro could withstand sanji's attacks.

I honestly don’t know for sure if Sanji is more durable. Nothing he had to tank was a Yonko caliber attack. Zoro tanked a Conquest of the Seas for a few seconds. 👀
@@tbhgodrick6120 Zoro is a swordsman / fighter and that's his role, so technically Sanji shouldn't be better than him in fighting (as in most aspects of one's powerlevel). So it is safe and acceptable to say that Zoro has better [insert attribute here].
Saying Sanji has better X is actually also acceptable depending on your viewpoints on the story as a whole, if you believe in that Zoro and Sanji are two different sides that complete and complement Luffy. As in, one is the brawl and one is the brain. Then, sword and shield. Power and heart. Strength and speed. Etc.
If you are the type who doesn't follow that viewpoint, then ignore the thing below.
If you believe in the POV above, it means you view the two have their own strength and weakness. Zoro is stronger and have more power, but Sanji is smarter and faster. While Luffy has both.
This, in turn, leads to the Sword and Shield theory, introduced in Baratie when Zoro is facing a swordsman and Sanji facing a man in full body armor. Then, throughout the story, Zoro acts as a Sword by helping Luffy overcome the enemies and Sanji acts as a Shield by saving the nakama and rescue the SH several times. For example, in Little Garden, Zoro fights Mr 3 (a strength feat) whereas Sanji is deceiving Crocodile (a brain feat). Enies Lobby, Zoro helps Luffy attack Aqua Laguna while Sanji saves the crew by opening Gate of Justice. Punk Hazard, Zoro fights Tashigi, Sanji is rescuing Kinemon. Basically, one offense, one defense.
If that POV is followed, it is reasonable thinking that Sanji will have better defense sooner or later. This is supported by Oda giving him Exoskeleton, a defensive means, while Zoro gets Enma, Fire Cutting, Advanced Conqueror, & Enma, an offensive means.

I’m a sanji fan, He’s my favorite, but I’m not a delusional person, Writing wise yah ofc Sanji is weaker than zoro, Oda made it perfectly clear, Sanji always fights the 3rd strongest antagonist in each arc, The thing that I don’t understand, is when people scale sanji lower than Jinbe, that I don’t get 😅

I’d say they’re relative. Zoro has more AP and single shot attack speed with certain moves while Sanji is definitely faster in terms of combat and movement speed and has much more mobility

Sanji v Yamato literally is a neg. Like, even if we take them out of character, I don't think even Zoro is topping Yamato right now. Ik that sounds like blasphemy, but Yamato is essentially the best of both worlds with Sanji and Zoro. She has ACoC haki mastery on a level Zoro doesnt (tho I think Zoro's overall AP is likely higher due to the fact that Yamato is simply using a club whereas Zoro's acoc is focused behind a blade) and her mythical zoan gives her versatility and recovery on a similar level to Sanji.
The way I see it is thusly:
If Luffy is a 100
Yamato would be a 94
Zoro would be a 93
and Sanji would be a flat 90.
Sanji has the fastest overall top speed and base defense of the bottom three,
Zoro has the overall best ap and endurance of the bottom three,
Yamato has the most versatility and hax of the bottom three,
And Luffy in g5 simply surpasses them all imo.
I always had zoro above sanji but it's just that people make the gap seem way bigger than it is when it's really not.

Not sure why this is still a debate or even a topic. Oda has made it pretty clear that Zoro is the #2 on the crew. Power scaling in a series devoid of power scaling logic is pointless.

My personal take on "How big is the power difference between Z & S?" (TLDR 75% of Zoro)
Bear in mind that fighting/combat is Zoro's role and his only thing, whereas Sanji beside being high tier fighter, also have many other abilities such as stealth/spy/flight/cooking/swords/tactics/elemental/etc.
So, in theory, if we consider Zoro's powerlevel/combat strength as 10, then Sanji's pure combat strength in comparison is between 6 to 8. Sanji will never be far behind of Zoro, so he at least is more than "half" of Zoro's strength. But he can't also be equal to Zoro because of above reasons + Oda wanking AdCoC. So 75% of Zoro is safe estimate, doesnt matter if you're Z/S fans, this is the one calculation that conforms to the storytelling's "balance".
Another way to put it, if you're being a very optimistic:
- Sanji fans = Zoro and Sanji being equal in raw power. Then, Zoro is stronger because he is basically Sanji + 3 top grade swords.
- Zoro fans = Sanji is a bit more than half of Zoro's peak powerlevel.
i think sanji fans just settle for equal cuz they have no grounds to say sanji>zoro

I obviously agree Zoro is stronger but I don’t think you understand how much is an entire fourth of someone as strong as Zoro, if you remove a fourth of his power I don’t think you’d even get someone who’s yonko commander level. Sanji is more like 90-95%.
Bro one thing that you forgot is stamina. I dont think anyone yet is stronger then kaido. Kaido fought oden trauma, fought 9 samurai (commander level), fought the worst generation elites, fought yamato (yonko level), fought a copy of his devil fruit, fought the protagonist all while carrying an island on his back? He even fought BIG MOM the night before the raid! Like cmon luffy aint on his level at all! Even the admiral would not dare come close to wano because of him. Luffy got the best of what kaido had left in his tank. Full stamina kaido destroy full stamina luffy! It would be crazy to say that akainu is stronger then whitebeard because he had the last blow!
They have fluctuated but it's true Zoro seeks strength whereas Sanji acquired it as a consequence of his genetics. He's definitely on the same level as Katakuri, but his skill and prowess will be based on advanced forms of observation and/or armament haki. I don't think Sanji will get Conqeror's Haki, it would be great if he did but I don't think it suits his character.

Kaido being stronger than big mom isnt confirmed bounties dont mean shit and they literally tied when they “fought” in wano. Did kaido hold back? Who knows. Did big mom hold back? Who knows. Law used three awakening attacks on big mom, kidd used roughly the same, she was not K.O by them. That means their df abilities even together are not enough to truly defeat a yonko 100 percent. The two of them at their best together did not perform as well as luffy with acoc alone, and they did about as well as yamato did alone, couldnt get a k.o or push heavily. Zoro is stronger with ashura koh than yamato for sure. Yamato didnt push kaido to drunken mode, or make any damage like ashura did or over power kaido at any point in direct contact, they clashed or she was overpowered, but she stood strong alone which was significant, she kept getting up.
I think sanji is getting left behind by the haki narrative and zoro is in the advanced department, he qualifies for highest potential in haki attack power, if you take the zoro and sanji "rivalry" seriously youre not being honest that its just for jokes, brotherly rivalry as crewmates. sanji is not a swordsman, he has nothing to do with zoros dream, and sanji will not surpass mihawk as thats not a narrative for him at all. sanji will be admiral level tops eos. Jyabura and lucci had a rivalry as well as carnivorous zoans but everyone knows lucci dominates jyabura seriously. There is far more story driven portrayal and power dynamic between luffy and zoro as partners, not rivals.
Also Sanji Isn’t More Durable Than Zoro That’s Just Common Head Cannon That’s Accepted More Often Than Not . Is He Faster Yes But Even That Doesn’t Mean Zoro Can’t Keep Up With His Speed

Yamato being stronger than Sanji is quite cap and bs. Yamato's biggest feat is just holding off Kaidou and not die. That's just shows that he's very durable and very agile (something that Sanji have), but he can barely hurt Kaidou even with Conqueror's imbued attack. If anything Sanji pulled off something similar with King and Queen by holding them off simultaneously even before his awakening. Not to mention different people has different philosophies and beliefs. What Kaidou stated about Haki isn't fact. It's just his beliefs. Haki isn't and end all be all. Blackbeard holds a complete different beliefs where Devil Fruits is more important. And he's rising up the rank faster than Luffy and even Rayleigh thought that he would probably lose against him. Queen and Vegapunk on the other hand belief that science is more important. And the Seraphims literally were deemed as the strongest beings.
And you're pretending that the reason the Supernova was struggling is only because of Kaidou eventhough Zoro was heavily injured due to the combined attack of Big Mom and Kaidou. They struggled because Big Mom was there too. If Yamato were in the same situation as Zoro, he would be in a similar if not worse state than Zoro. If the fight was only against Kaidou, then I think the supernova would probably still be able to defeat him. Also, Yamato's biggest feat is only managed to only make Kaidou bleed a little (a feat made by almost all of the supernovas and Zoro literally left a permanent scar). And he only does it twice with one of them being a combined attack with Luffy. None of his other attack even fazed Kaidou. Most of the time, Yamato is dodging or using his DF to tank the attack.
