Just wanted to let you know that you can also eat the stem of the broccoli :) you just have to peel it, it actually tastes much sweeter than the flowers :)
This is my fail safe granola bar recipe. It is so good!! And it stays together. INGREDIENTS ¼ cup honey ⅓ cup brown sugar ¼ cup butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats 1 cup crispy rice cereal ½ cup finely chopped nuts i use almonds and walnuts ½ cup mini chocolate chips INSTRUCTIONS Stir butter, brown sugar, vanilla and honey together in large saucepan until melted and combined While stirring, bring the mixture just to a boil and then turn off heat Add in the nuts, oats, crispy rice cereal and stir until the dry ingredients are completely coated Then add in 2 heaping tablespoons of mini chocolate chips (from the ½ cup total) to the mixture and stir until they almost disappear Take this mixture and press into a parchment lined 8x8 baking pan Using the bottom of a measuring cup, a greased spatula or wet hands, really press the mixture into the corners and edges. You want the granola bar to be as condensed as possible Sprinkle the remaining mini chips over the top Put in refrigerator for at least two hours before cutting into bar shapes
Thank You! Just tried your recipe last night and it's amazing! Going to save this recipe. A little sweeter than I'd like - pretty comparable to store bought- so I'd recommend cutting the brown sugar in half if you prefer less sweet. Used regular chocolate chips and lightly pressed it into the bars while warm. You REALLY have to squish it in the pan to get it to hold together. I'd been looking for a good recipe and this was perfect.
You have inspired me to, not only create a playroom for our kids, but to learn to be more of a coming presence in my kids lives. And to try and push myself to make more from scratch foods. I've enjoyed watching your videos since before theo. Thank you! ❤
As a mom who lives like this, making everything from scratch. I love these videos just seeing all the ideas for meals and how you do things gives me much needed ideas and inspiration. I love making homemade snacks i make a baked snack once a week for my family bars, muffins , and other random things lol.
You make everything with the most important ingredient, which is love. I thought the pie looked amazing. And you made a core memory come back to me. The cinnamon sugar pieces of dough…my mama did that!😢
I think it’s because she enjoys cooking and since she does it so much she’s probably very efficient! There are some things I can do fast but when I make even a “simple” new recipe in a large batch it can take a few hours 😅
Haha the end made me giggle. I love how they said you’re the best cook and mom 😆 that is soooo precious. And it means you have to make a weekly pie 😂 it looked really good! You can also use the little leftover crust pieces and make shapes out of them and just put those on top of your crust! You could even have the kids do that part and feel like amazing little bakers;)
I have a little question. How do you feel confident in dresses? You look so beautiful and natural in them, almost like you're meant to be wearing them. But when i put on dresses i feel so silly. I feel like i look like I'm trying so hard to look cute? I have no idea. I get so uncomfortable like everyone's judging me for wearing it. Sorry for the silly question! I'm newly pregnant and I'm gonna be pretty large over the summer and i wanna get into wearing cute dresses because i ADORE when pregnant woman wear dresses it just looks so adorable to me. Any tips as to get over this silly fear?
I honestly think it just takes getting used to. I grew up wearing jeans and t-shirts until my mother in law introduced me to dresses and skirts. I felt SOOOOO uncomfortable for a looong time and eventually i just got used to it! I feel so much more confident in dresses now, and they're a MUST for every pregnancy! Just keep searching for dresses that you actually like, not every dress makes every woman FEEL beautiful. Find the ones you enjoy wearing and just keep wearing them. Eventually you will get used to wearing dresses and feel more comfortable and confident!
This was me but you just got to start wearing them. The more I wore them the more if got weird to see me in leggings even though my whole life that was my wardrobe.
This was so inspiring! I got so many great ideas, from the chocolate sauce to the brine for the chicken. And also reminded me that I too want to try out making a chicken pot pie 🙂
Hello Loeppkys. I have been a devote follower for past 3 years. You, Delilah, inspired me in so many way since I watched your first video (and I believe that was Theo's birth video) while I was pregnant with my only son first time in my life staying home. Not making any money, Covid raging outside.... I was HOME home. Since then I realized how "lazy" I feel wathing your videos. I have stepped up my game as a wife and also in keeping the house since my son was born but even after getting spurts of home cooking motivation thanks to you I am still ABSOLUTELYS intimidated by it. This video, had inspired me to want what you do but I have grown up in a household where we didn't do much of cooking. Both of my parents were working to make the ends meet and I remember my mom cooking alone on the weekends. We were three of us and I understand she wanted to get things done fast as she as a working full time time needed hours left in the weekend to do what she couldn't in the week. I am sorry to giving you the whole background, but this video just hit such an emotional spot for me. I want this. I want to cook away all we have, save so much on groceries, do this for myself and my family but I have zero idea where to start. It'd be soooooo awesome if you could do some kind of series where we could all just "reffer" to the basics and grow with you from there. You yourself mentioned how much you learned from seeing your mom working around the house. I had zero of that and I don't know where to start now in my mid 30s. Anyway, thank you! For all the inspiration you give.
You made your chicken pot pie filling correctly. I like to add fresh mushrooms in with my vegetable saute for a deeper flavor. I use leftover chicken or turkey. My family loves it!
Sarah Therese has an amazing granola bar recipe! Hope she doesnt mind i share it here :) 1/4 c honey 1/2 c brown sugar 1/3 c butter Combine in pot & bring to low boil and let get bubbly and thick. Add 1 1/2 c rice krispies 1 1/2 c rolled oats 3 T flax I do slightly less than what it calls for krispies and oats and they are like the sunbelt bars. You can add chia, coconut & other stuff. Let harden in fridge for 1 hr and then cut up. I double and it fits in 9x13 pan!
Everything you made looked so yummy! My mom would always make chicken pot pie and we all loved it! For more inspiration, you can do part butter and part shortening for the pie crust. The butter adds flavor and the shortening adds flakiness (not the healthiest, but the tastiest). She would add diced potatoes, carrots, peas, chicken and parsley inside.
Great Granola Bar Recipe from Shaye Elliott 2 cups peanut butter (unsweetened) 1 cup honey 1 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla 5.5 cups rolled oats 0.5-1 cup add-ins Mix it all together, press into a parchment lined pan and refrigerate overnight. Cut, wrap in parchment paper and enjoy. So simple and delicious!
You can also use the stem of the broccolli i :-) especially for soup! Just as as much flavour and less food waste. Only need to peel the outer side of the stem a bit.
I love these types of videos! You're so calm & all the yummy recipes. My Mom would make a small crust pie with sugar on it when she made pies. We had a couple of small pie plates, they are so cute & I have them. So I need to make your chicken pot pies, then I can have some sugar leftover pie crust! Thanks for sharing! ♥️☺️🫂🐾🐾✨️
If you use frozen corn you need to boil it first 😊 you have inspired me to buy a bread book and start making my own bread. I make cakes for a living but I never make bread or yeast cakes. Looking forward to starting 😊
Wow, amazing and yummy food. I've been trying to cook more from scratch now my son is old enough to hang out in the kitchen and help. I'm still a lazy cook, though, so I use a lot of frozen veg (something I never did before becoming a mom) because chopping vegetables and remembering to use them before they go bad is a challenge for me. That way, all my sauces, soups and other recipes can be packed with veg but I don't spend all day in the kitchen. Making bread from scratch? Incredible! I just wish I had the patience.
Everything looks delicious! Have you ever tried sautéing with olive oil? I'm from Portugal, here we always sauté with olive oil instead of butter, it's a much healthier fat. Also as it only burns at much higher temperatures than butter, we can sauté vegetables or meat for much longer.
Hi Delilah! Every time I see your cooking videos, I keep thinking that you guys should try some Turkish cuisine. Our olive oil and veggie meals are both so easy to make and delicious. I think your family would really enjoy it
What times are your windows to cook and bake? What do you have your kids doing at the time you get to meal prep and food prep? Any busy ideas for littles to offer because I really want to pick up baking and I over complicate things so I have it in my head I have no time. 😅
Hi Delilah! May I ask where your brown checkered blouse is from? I'm referring to the one you are wearing at 12:03. I checked the video description and see you linked to your aprons and dresses but I don't see any references to the blouse and it's lovely.😃 Thank you for your content! these recipes look amazing.😊
Can you share a link to the roasting pans you are using? I absolutely love the white ones you have with the black rim! I did not see them on your website though
Another way to have INSANELY MOIST chicken is stuffing the inside with apples, onions, lemon and some butter chunks 😊. I do it with my turkey too and it's always soooo yummy
I’ve been on a mission for a good granola recipe too! So far the only ones that stick together are far too sweet. Please share if you make a discovery!!
How do you decide what to eat each day. Do you meal plan so that you know what to defrost etc? I love to cook from scratch but always feel like I can't decide what to cook each day.
Want an easy meal!!!! Prepares 100 steps 😂😂😂 this would be SOOO exhausting for me 😢😢 when i am in these days where it hat to be quick, i cook some noodles , butter, parmesan, ready.❤
Okay, do you guys wash your bananas? I feel like there are two sides. I never did this until someone said they washed them to help with fruit flies! We noticed a difference and I've done it ever since lol
Just wanted to let you know that you can also eat the stem of the broccoli :) you just have to peel it, it actually tastes much sweeter than the flowers :)
It’s funny that you think your pie looks bad. It looks great to me and I’m not just saying that.
Delilah was the first youtuber that was a homemaker and modest from way back then and its so good to see so many you tubers doing this today ❤

You have inspired me to, not only create a playroom for our kids, but to learn to be more of a coming presence in my kids lives. And to try and push myself to make more from scratch foods.
I've enjoyed watching your videos since before theo. Thank you! ❤
We call it “dump soup” because I just dump a bunch of stuff into a pot and it’s never the same.
I have one 4 month old and I’m overwhelmed trying to cook from scratch. You’re an inspiration!
I love the "rustic" look of the pie, it LOOKS homemade and honestly that makes it even better in my opinion
As a mom who lives like this, making everything from scratch. I love these videos just seeing all the ideas for meals and how you do things gives me much needed ideas and inspiration. I love making homemade snacks i make a baked snack once a week for my family bars, muffins , and other random things lol.
Just popping in to let you know your content is so comforting to me. I love seeing calm videos, and how you include your kids in all the tasks.
Everything looked simply delicious! You are a blessing to your family, Delilah 🩷

So calming and joyful. Love your videos Delilah, thanks for all you've taught me. ❤
Great video and very inspiring! Watching your channel has inspired me to make more things from scratch 😊
You make everything with the most important ingredient, which is love. I thought the pie looked amazing. And you made a core memory come back to me. The cinnamon sugar pieces of dough…my mama did that!😢
You are a wonderful and smart cook You are making amazing dish.
I’ve been wanting to do more from scratch so I’m excited to see
Wow... 'simple' for you is very different than simple for me 😂 simple for me is 5min 😂
I think it’s because she enjoys cooking and since she does it so much she’s probably very efficient! There are some things I can do fast but when I make even a “simple” new recipe in a large batch it can take a few hours 😅

it's all about confidence!! do your hair and accessorize too, find cute dainty necklaces you like. it really really brings it together!!
If it makes you feel good/cute/beautiful, focus on that instead of what other people might think! Rock it mama! 😊
I honestly think it just takes getting used to. I grew up wearing jeans and t-shirts until my mother in law introduced me to dresses and skirts. Your videos always give me new recipe ideas! Thank you🩵
Loved this! Potatoes and peas go really good in chicken pot pie! Your crust turned out beautifully!
I loved this video! More weekly meal videos please!
This was so inspiring, per usual! Thank you 🙏 💗
I can recommend using the stalks in the soup if you're blending it; lots of nourishment. Just cut of the rough bits and chop roughly 🙂
Can you talk about freezing the dough and how you would defrost it before using it in another recipe?
You've given me some recipe inspiration for sure! Love a relaxing cooking video :)
Sabrina Solin’s tik tok granola bar recipe is the best I’ve found! I’m always delighted to share because we now make weekly.
This was so inspiring! I got so many great ideas, from the chocolate sauce to the brine for the chicken. And also reminded me that I too want to try out making a chicken pot pie 🙂
Wow I loved this video!!! I will be referring to these recipes a lot in the future, I just know it 🫶🏻 thank you Delilah!

Washing vegetables with soap?! Is that a speciel kind of soap, as I have never heard this before.
Yes they make specific veggie washes
💙
4 kids and cooking a storm. I've got 1 and I hardly cook. Ooops.
❤❤
Does the apron link work for anyone?
No it shows an error message for me.
why do you wash your vegetables with soap when it has
carcinogenics in, you should wash with just water or water and bicarb.
R they Mormon.
Some little girls learn to do dances or perform for the camera, and I love that Eloise is learning how to show baking to the camera! It's so sweet!
Wtf is that even mean dancing and other stuff is a skill too😅
