This is my fail safe granola bar recipe. It is so good!! And it stays together.
    INGREDIENTS
    ¼ cup honey
    ⅓ cup brown sugar
    ¼ cup butter
    1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
    1 cup crispy rice cereal
½ cup finely chopped nuts i use almonds and walnuts
    ½ cup mini chocolate chips
    INSTRUCTIONS
Stir butter, brown sugar, vanilla and honey together in large saucepan until melted and combined
While stirring, bring the mixture just to a boil and then turn off heat
Add in the nuts, oats, crispy rice cereal and stir until the dry ingredients are completely coated
Then add in 2 heaping tablespoons of mini chocolate chips (from the ½ cup total) to the mixture and stir until they almost disappear
Take this mixture and press into a parchment lined 8x8 baking pan
Using the bottom of a measuring cup, a greased spatula or wet hands, really press the mixture into the corners and edges. You want the granola bar to be as condensed as possible
Sprinkle the remaining mini chips over the top
Put in refrigerator for at least two hours before cutting into bar shapes

Thank You! Just tried your recipe last night and it's amazing! Going to save this recipe. A little sweeter than I'd like - pretty comparable to store bought- so I'd recommend cutting the brown sugar in half if you prefer less sweet. Used regular chocolate chips and lightly pressed it into the bars while warm. You REALLY have to squish it in the pan to get it to hold together. I'd been looking for a good recipe and this was perfect.

I have a little question. How do you feel confident in dresses? You look so beautiful and natural in them, almost like you're meant to be wearing them. But when i put on dresses i feel so silly. I feel like i look like I'm trying so hard to look cute? I have no idea. I get so uncomfortable like everyone's judging me for wearing it. Sorry for the silly question! I'm newly pregnant and I'm gonna be pretty large over the summer and i wanna get into wearing cute dresses because i ADORE when pregnant woman wear dresses it just looks so adorable to me. Any tips as to get over this silly fear?

I honestly think it just takes getting used to. I grew up wearing jeans and t-shirts until my mother in law introduced me to dresses and skirts. I felt SOOOOO uncomfortable for a looong time and eventually i just got used to it! I feel so much more confident in dresses now, and they're a MUST for every pregnancy! Just keep searching for dresses that you actually like, not every dress makes every woman FEEL beautiful. Find the ones you enjoy wearing and just keep wearing them. Eventually you will get used to wearing dresses and feel more comfortable and confident!

Hello Loeppkys. I have been a devote follower for past 3 years. You, Delilah, inspired me in so many way since I watched your first video (and I believe that was Theo's birth video) while I was pregnant with my only son first time in my life staying home. Not making any money, Covid raging outside.... I was HOME home. Since then I realized how "lazy" I feel wathing your videos. I have stepped up my game as a wife and also in keeping the house since my son was born but even after getting spurts of home cooking motivation thanks to you I am still ABSOLUTELYS intimidated by it. This video, had inspired me to want what you do but I have grown up in a household where we didn't do much of cooking. Both of my parents were working to make the ends meet and I remember my mom cooking alone on the weekends. We were three of us and I understand she wanted to get things done fast as she as a working full time time needed hours left in the weekend to do what she couldn't in the week. I am sorry to giving you the whole background, but this video just hit such an emotional spot for me. I want this. I want to cook away all we have, save so much on groceries, do this for myself and my family but I have zero idea where to start. It'd be soooooo awesome if you could do some kind of series where we could all just "reffer" to the basics and grow with you from there. You yourself mentioned how much you learned from seeing your mom working around the house. I had zero of that and I don't know where to start now in my mid 30s. Anyway, thank you! For all the inspiration you give.

Sarah Therese has an amazing granola bar recipe! Hope she doesnt mind i share it here :)
    1/4 c honey
    1/2 c brown sugar
    1/3 c butter
Combine in pot & bring to low boil and let get bubbly and thick.
    Add
    1 1/2 c rice krispies
    1 1/2 c rolled oats
    3 T flax
I do slightly less than what it calls for krispies and oats and they are like the sunbelt bars. You can add chia, coconut & other stuff. Let harden in fridge for 1 hr and then cut up.
I double and it fits in 9x13 pan!

Everything you made looked so yummy! My mom would always make chicken pot pie and we all loved it! For more inspiration, you can do part butter and part shortening for the pie crust. The butter adds flavor and the shortening adds flakiness (not the healthiest, but the tastiest). She would add diced potatoes, carrots, peas, chicken and parsley inside.

Wow, amazing and yummy food. I've been trying to cook more from scratch now my son is old enough to hang out in the kitchen and help. I'm still a lazy cook, though, so I use a lot of frozen veg (something I never did before becoming a mom) because chopping vegetables and remembering to use them before they go bad is a challenge for me. That way, all my sauces, soups and other recipes can be packed with veg but I don't spend all day in the kitchen. Making bread from scratch? Incredible! I just wish I had the patience.

Everything looks delicious! Have you ever tried sautéing with olive oil? I'm from Portugal, here we always sauté with olive oil instead of butter, it's a much healthier fat. Also as it only burns at much higher temperatures than butter, we can sauté vegetables or meat for much longer.
