@@statutesofthelord You’re right, God did forbid Moses and his followers to eat pigs (Leviticus 11:27), but those dietary restrictions no longer apply to us in the new covenant through Jesus Christ.
In Acts 15:29 we are told to “abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, fr meat of strangled animals” and in Romans 14:20-21 Paul states that “all food is clean”, but he goes on to say “It is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother or sister to fall.” So, we should not eat pork in front of someone who believes it is a sin to eat pork.

I am a repentant Catholic who was a lukewarm Christian, and who is now a full on believer and follower of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. 🙏
I would get out of that mess, I say this with love. Catholicism gets caught up on good works and practices idolatry. You need to look into a denomination of Christianity that only follows the bible, nothing else. God bless.

Catholicism is far from being perfect but it is definitely part of the Holy Church, against which the gates of hell shall not prevail (Matt 16:18). Be cautious and do not use the word denomination as it is used these days to disguise sects.
@@alexden1592 I'm sorry, but you are wrong. The church (body) is all of us as born again believers. One could never walk into a church building and be saved so long as they're truly born again. The only key to salvation is accepting Christ's sacrifice on the cross and repentance of sins. True repentance isn't being sorry either, it is to walk away from sinful behavior and lifestyles. I am speaking about the Holy Apostolic Church founded by Christ, which includes not only the congregation of living reborn believers, but also deceased righteous Christians and, more notably, the clergy, which is successively ordained from the apostles, participating in the reception of the sacred sacraments, in which the grace of the Holy Spirit is given to gain eternal life. I agree that accepting Christ as the Saviour and repentance is essential for getting reborn and that attending a church without being truly reborn doesn't grant salvation, however, the birth from above is a separate thing, which alone is also not enough for salvation because there is no salvation outside the Church. True repentance is realising your corrupt nature of a despaired sinner and exactly being sorry for committed sins, while leaving sinful behaviour and lifestyles is the result of sincere repentance. Individual members of the Church can lose the grace of the Holy Spirit because of their sins if they remain stubbornly unrepentant, and especially when they fall into heresies and schisms. However the Church as a whole cannot fall from grace, because Her Head is Christ.

@@TR-qr9hsBaptism is about obedience, but not a requirement for salvation. The thief on the cross was not baptized and Jesus said that he would be with Him in paradise on the very day he died. Baptism for the remission of sins…the “for” means “because of.” Repentance is required before baptism is what your cited verses are teaching. All of the Old Testament saints were not baptized. John the Baptist was not baptized. Other things are commanded after being saved, but not part of salvation…like not forsaking the assembly of yourselves together, which means to be a faithful member at your local church, and taking the Lord’s supper, and many other things.

PRAISE THE LORD!!! Awesome mentioning the imputation of Christ's righteousness Ray! An essential part of the gospel we need to share!
Note how his Christian friends had been talking to him and praying for him.
Sometimes our work ends up being gardening: someone you witness to, be it a coworker or just someone you meet, maybe won't accept Christ today, won't turn from sin today.
But by God's mercy some of them have a tomorrow where they're more open because of what they've already heard - where the seed that's been planted gets a ray of sunshine.
Even when someone turns away and is seemingly hostile or ambivalent, God gives the increase, not us. Getting discouraged over a 'lack of response' or a 'dry period' is like a farmer assuming every time he tills, every time he plows, every time he plants, and every time he harvests, to have that same day in which he does that work to bring home some crops - even though only one of those steps is actual harvesting!
And here, we can see what seems to be some earlier gardening result in a yield.
This is no excuse for those who haven't turned from sin yet. The Bible itself says "While it is called Today" - more than once - because none of us can guarantee that tomorrow our hearts will be as open to yielding to God, or even that our hearts will still be beating.

Brother Ray, you've influenced me in such a big way with how you're doing God's work, by bringing the gospel to people on the streets in our country. Missionary work is so important, but so many believers forget that there is a desperate need for this here in the states.
I've been a born again Christian my entire life (44 years old), but I've also been addicted to video games. I wanted to do full time video game content for UA-cam, but have felt off about it. I decided to start my own channel similar to what you do instead, because I want to build Gods kingdom, instead of wasting my time any more with video games. I love watching these videos. I love Ray’s patience and questions and the analogies, clear and brief, which make all the difference in understanding what it takes for eternal salvation. He explains in a few minutes what people never learn after years of “church” going. He’s respectful, never offends but lovingly shows people how we are all sinners in urgent need of repentance and trusting in Jesus so that we don’t die in our sins! 🙏
