I am 2017 passed out, was preparing for competitives exam also having gap of 2 years and some years of experience in mechanical,when I tried for job change I nearly applied around 350 companies. Also I got shortlisted for some of the companies for 10000/month. With annual growth rate of 500 or 1000 as a operator. This is the real condition. I am topper of the college also got grant from University for patent level project,and I guarantee I am not dumbass. I did IT cousres also got placed in good company with decent package at least more than mechanical and yes I am happy with this. You are talking this Python and AI in mechanical and this will take almost 8-10 years. 40 ki Umar me 60-70k kamake Kya faida (in mechanical). And the more important things if you want decent package in mechanical companies (MNC'S),most of them are doing campus recruiting from big college where as in case of IT -every one is getting equal chances for direct entry if you have skills. Waqt me sath badalna sikhna chahiye. You are not aware of mechanical jobs in current market it starts from 7500-8000/Month. It doesn't matter how much knowledge you have ,you will get stable after 40 years of life. And what about increasing inflation rate and also we have to feed our family.
I request you think 1000 times before taking any steps and this is my personal experiences thank you.
------- ek knowledgeable failure in mechanical field but with less knowledge (becoz I have started now) succeeding in IT field. And also no one can give gaurantee recession kab ayega ja ayega tab for switch marenge lekin market ke hisaab see hi chalenge.

I have clear assesment of TCS and Infosys but rejecterd in interview , so the point is if I can do this you can also can do this .

Bro don’t learn these skill now, first focus on you study and get a job , when you got experience up to 1 or 2 years then start learning these thing . At that time these skill will helps you lot for a good job in AI field. Directly entry in AI field is little bit hard.

Apply mtech in energy or design or industrial engineering and also learn some basic software like auto cad matlab cfd
Learn autocad first for understanding of drawings.
Then learn either one of 3 Solidworks,Creo or NX properly.Once you get the idea of using one you can then go for other you will understand better and quickly. All are the top used softwares for 3D design,drafting.
You can then move to Catia also if you which to explore more advanced 3d and surface modelling.
Also learning a Cae i.e analysis software is important in design. Learn Ansys after being thorough in design softwares.
