I love cooking rice (any kind) with sautéed onion, water and BTB Chicken Base, yum. I also use my Instant Pot to cook entire packages of wild and brown rice and then freeze in meal-sized baggies. So much faster at mealtime to just zap what we need instead of 45 minutes cooking wild rice!

Jeffrey, you'll probably blanch at this but the most popular recipe for Chile con queso back in the 70s IN New Mexico was a cubed up block of Velveeta, a six ounce can of Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies usually doctored with either 3/4 cup of hot, roasted green chilies or a hot chunky salsa all done up in a crockpot. It was simple heaven in a pot!
Great recipe my friend, & you chose a great product for a support partner, "better than bouillion" is the best on the market. Most folks do not know that it is a wet base & not a dry broth in powder, cubes, etc..., it actually has real concentrated meat & spices, i use chix, beef, ham , seafood, lobster, vegetable ( is great for veggie soup) of their products, but they have more items. Folks, if you can't find it at your grocer, you can order from amazon with free delivery to your front door. btw, it is shelf stable until you open it, then goes in the fridge, if you were concerned about it going bad during shipping.

I went to their website to search for retail locations that sell the chili base. I found it in a very obscure market that is about 45min from our house. Well worth the drive

Queso Bandito? Too funny Richard. Now, the Frito Bandito song is stuck in my head. Not to mention the idea of one of those crossbody bullet cartridge slings filled with vials of queso! I’m trying to keep my snickering down. And to repeat your earlier word play - because I quite liked it: ‘K, so this sounds really yummy! I must try it altho’ I’ll probably use red salsa since I prefer it over green. Of course first I’ll need to find the chili base.... I didn’t know they made that flavor As for Better Than Bouillon - absolutely love that stuff. And this use is diluted enough in all the other ingredients that the sodium level shouldn’t be too bad. If anyone hasn’t already tried it - you really should. It makes all the difference in just about anything. Especially since store bought liquid chicken broth usually tastes more like water than chicken
My friend, btw, in lieu of chips, we like to buy a bag of 6 bagels, slice them in half, & cut them in bite size pieces, dip & eat & they are delicious, we like onion, garlic, or poppy seed bagels

Adding some browned hot ground sausage would send that over the top! We do something similar but with 2 blocks of cream cheese, sausage, rotel, and whatever else you want to add. I’m trying your way the next time.

Just made this. Didn’t put in the tomatoes or chili’s, but did use the exact bullion. Now I have almost every flavor of bullion . This is delicious!
Smarter to ask for your cheese from the deli to be cut into 1/2 in slices, to cut down your dicing time. Trust me, it's great.
