Meanwhile, Sumatran and Tapanuli orangutans are reintroduced by other organizations operating in their respective regions in Sumatra. What's particularly fascinating is that BOSF cares for two different subspecies of Bornean orangutans: Pongo pygmaeus morio in East Kalimantan, which we rehabilitate at Samboja Lestari, and Pongo pygmaeus wurmbii in Central Kalimantan, which we rehabilitate at Nyaru Menteng.
